It was Friday afternoon, I somehow managed to loose both sets of keys to a high security lock that held log books that needed to be updated. The lock was on site miles away and I was beyond upset with myself. When I went in to Buffums on Ponderosa Zack could see how upset I was and immediatly called Levi and asked if he could immediately be at Camarillo Airport to open the lock. This was no ordinary lock but a really high security lock. Remember this was Friday afternoon when most people and places were already winding down for the weekend! Zack got off the phone and told me to go right back to the Airport, Levi was already there waiting!!!! Buffums, Zack and Levi took a horrible situation of my own doing, opened the lock, made a new set of keys in less than half an hour! This is so far beyond exceptional service not to mention extremely reasonable pricing. Treat yourself to exceptional service with exceptional results!

I took a cabinet door in to have keys made, Zack Marx made the keys and I was not happy with the difficulty of opening the lock. I paid him $20.00 He gave me no receipt and told me to give it a try. When I got home the lock would not lock in the door closed position only in the door open position. I called and spoke to Zack. He told me it worked fine when it left his shop, basically called me a lair and told me to bring the door back and he would look at it. I asked if my $20.00 dollars was refundable and he began arguing with me, he then hung up on me. Camarillo is a very small town and I will never let any employee at Buffums work on a lock at my residence I dont trust them. I do agree with the other reviewers which said the employees are extremely rude. I cant see a store with this kind of costumer service lasting in Camirillo long. I hope this helps.

Shocking interaction with "Zach" the other day. Went to have a car key duplicated which I have had done before. Was quoted $50. I was surprised (had paid $28 previously). I asked if he would like to check again and he said, " he was the manager, prices go up every year and thats the price." I walked out. BTW, the blank is $3 on the web. Wont be going back. The owner was great to deal with in the past, but the new kids running the shop have a thing or two to learn about customer service and the power of the internet.

Ive got big dogs who are constantly in and out of the door to the yard. Lots of wear and tear locking and unlocking to let them out. Mechanism seemed to weaken over time, not locking correctly, which caused some security concern. I contacted several locksmiths and Buffums was able to send someone to do the job in a reasonable amount of time. Fair price and the tech was in and out in no time. Nice new lock on my door and less to worry about. Thank you!

I have also used their service technicians for work on my home and business. They are my "go to" when it comes to lock and safe work. It is a local small business I am happy to support.

Came to store at 11:45 to get 50 keys made and they were closed, even though the posted hours state 9 - 5. When I called the number the guys said, "Yeah, we closed early for the holiday weekend, but Ill be in tomorrow at 9:00." Total disappointment. Must be nice not to need sales.

They are good guys. Very knowledgeable, and helpful. The guys in the shop are nice and easy to work with, and the mobile guys are just as good. Fair prices and good service. He even helped me get back in my truck when I locked the keys inside. Got me back on the move in no time!
