Amanda Elsayed
Unfortunately I had the pleasure of going to this salon. I went in with a blonde ombre and came out with an overprocessed, orange and blotchy blonde. I should have known this was going to be a disaster based off of the womans upkeep of her own hair. I was debating whether I should keep my ombre or go with highlights to give the look of one solid color. Amanda is her name and she offered me her "professional" advice on what I should do. Once finished with that she then had to go get pricing because what she offered me was " not on the menu". She comes back and tells me that my total would be $270. She said that she was first going to get the color "band" that I had in my hair out. All that meant was she was getting the bleach and rubbing it into my hair. She went section by section rubbing bleach with her fingers into my hair. Did I mention she was nonstop talking about herself? I should have left from the moment she gave me the pricing that was more than a rip off. They are trying to charge orange county prices. Anyways, one thing that I wish I would have spoke up sooner about was when she had me sit under low heat with bleach in my hair! We go to the bowl to rinse my hair out she was not careful or gentle to say the least. She was getting my whole face wet to the point I had to cover my eyes so that my newly applied eye lash extensions wouldnt come off. She wasnt caring or meticulous. First thing she says as shes getting me ready to go back to the chair was "oh, I dont want you to have different variations of blonde". All I thought to myself is here we go. I sit down to see my roots are still my somewhat of my natural brown and I have blotchiness throughout the ends. My ends were white and roots dark. She then says shes going to go over a few pieces that didnt take. She mixes the color and comes back. This is when the rest of my hell happened. She grabs strands and with the brush puts globs of the dye on my strands. She then with her hand was smearing it into the strands of my hair. She continued and eventually those "pieces she was going to touch up" turn into my whole head being soaked with the bleach again! I could instantly see that my roots were white. At this point we were bleaching my scalp. She has me go sit at the bowl where I remained for a good 25 minutes. She started wetting my face (surprise) again with the water and when I put my hands over my eyes again threw a hand towel at me. I guess to wipe off my face as she continued to wet my whole face? She then put the toner on (again) and let that sit close to 10 minutes. She walked away and when I took a picture I could instantly see that my white roots did not go with my orange hair. She comes back and with her nails was scrubbing my scalp as hard a she could. It was beyond painful and the worst experience I have ever had. She even made the comment, "wow this color came out beautiful" We then go back to the chair where she starts getting ready to blow dry my hair. I made the comment to her that i was surprised it took 2 processes that you would have sworn i had black hair. My final straw was when she got the rolly brush stuck in my hair and instead of trying to gently remove it she grabbed one side of the chunk of hair that was stuck in the brush and with her other hand grabbed the brush and yanked it out of my hair. I instantly jumped up and told her that it was enough. My scalp was still burning and when i touched it i could feel what seemed to be scabs throughout my scalp. Turns out she gave me CHEMICAL BURNS throughout my whole head!I am going back to work after being on maternity leave to look the way i do. I wish i had never stepped foot into that salon. I trusted Aveda just naturally assumed they would do a decent job. I wish she would have just admitted from the get go she was not good at ombre instead of recommending me what she "thought" she was capable of doing at the cost of my healthy hair. She should not be allowed on the floor and should not be coloring anyones hair. Beware!

This review is based on a mans haircut. I was looking for an alternative to the barbers who only do fades, which seem super popular around here... I cant speak to all the stylists here but my hair was butchered...despite showing a photo, the stylist, (who was very nice and a bit too talkative and distracted it would seem) couldnt manage a textured point cut, relying on thinning shears to get the job done. I didnt notice as much after blow drying and styling, but the next day it was evident. Too heavy, ill-balanced, and many of the cuts were made straight across leaving my hair with zero texture and a flat, uneven look. Im shocked that a stylist has no clue how to give a proper mens haircut.Truly one of the worst haircuts Ive had in a long while.

I have VERY curly and graying hair. I have already had my hair cut by Michelle so knew she was up to the challenge but this last week I went in asking for a shorter cut and highlights. After talking it thru, MIchelle gave her recommendations, which i agreed with, and before I knew it I was walking out with a beautiful new hair do...MIchelle is a joy to talk to and knows her biz...and she loves what she does. Thank you Michelle... you are amazing!!!

I have been going there for a while now and have had a great experience every time. Everyone who works there is so nice and pleasant. Tisa who does my hair just rocks. She is awesome. She has great ideas and knows exactly what I want my hair to look like. She is just fantastic. I would recommend this salon to everyone, who wants to be pampered and will look great when they leave!!

She is also really funny so it makes the task of getting my haircut extra enjoyable. I also get facials there by Jen and she gives the best facials ever. The service is amazing, everyone there is so friendly. I dont have a single negative thing to say.

I have to say that Mon Esprit Aveda has the best costumer service ever. I feel welcome every time I walk in and when I leave I always have the best haircut. Ive seen a few different stylists and always get great results. You even get a quick neck and scalp massage as well and a hand and arm massage while you are getting your hair shampooed, you cant beat that.
