Great place to workout, hangout, and work. Very spacious so I dont feel claustrophobic like other gyms that Ive been too (cough, Cupertino sport center). People here are very friendly and down to earth especially the instructors here. Here are the list of my recommendations of the classes that they offer Tuesday: Pilates with Karen Kim She is very knowledgeable and funny, she makes sure you have the correct form and posture, which is a PLUS because the only way to prevent sport injury and get the outcome you want is to have a great form down. Interesting side note her mom(in her 90s) can do plank for a full minute- AMAZING right ? Thursday: Cycling with Tricia Severietti She bring so much energy and motivation that there is no way you are going to stop paddling, always has the best playlist to cycle with Friday: Yoga with Nick Fortino He has a super soothing and calming voice that if you take ambien to help you sleep at night, there is no need anymore just come to his class. Very knowledgeable and informative class, again posture is BIG in yoga, and he takes time to explain using both the scientific explanation and the average Joe version to get his points across. I never really enjoy Yoga until I went to his class because I am been going to the wrong place the whole time. Saturday: Yoga with Larry Munoz He walks around to fix postures and form, which is a plus again especially for yoga. I think yoga needs constant fine tuning until you can get it right and Larry does a great job on assisting student to reach that point. Side track here: I think he is very handsome, look so much like George Clooney. He is the type that as he age, the more handsome he gets ( It could be from yoga - Wilde guess here ) Sunday: Athletic Conditioning with Alex Anders There is nothing better than to burn all that bad chi out with an intense cardio session with Alex on Sunday. Here is a quick routine breakdown 1. squat jumps with resistance 2. high knees with resistance 3. side squats with resistance 4. alligator with gliders 5. TRX 6. stair masters 7. abs - Kate (member since 2012 at Bayclub)

I have to confess that my Mom dragged me to the Bay Club and I was not happy about it until I saw the amazing facilities and found a great personal trainer (Matthew Ryan Carney). It opened recently so everything is clean and the equipment is brand spankin new. Once you use the showers here, you probably wont want to shower at home anymore. Ive always wanted to try out the Pilates Reformer but never had a chance when I lived in LA. It looks a bit too intimidating to try out in a group class and too complicated to figure out on your own (to be honest it looks like some sort of strange kinky device????). After reading fellow some reviews about Matthew Ryan Carney (posted on another review site that starts with a Y), I decided to schedule a private training session on the Pilates Reformer to see if I would enjoy it. I have a lot of Pilates and yoga experience so I think it was easier for me to pick-up the advanced concepts and moves but the reformer is definitely suitable for a beginner! Matthew is an excellent and professional trainer and will tailor each workout can be tailored to your flexibility and skill level. He keeps my Pilates workouts varied with different moves on the Reformer, Ladder Barrell, and this other Pilates machine I cant remember the name of. After some regular sessions with him, I really noticed a different in my energy, fitness levels, and weight! He has also shown me a lot of stretches and exercises that I can do at home or while traveling. Ive recommended him to my sister who is a Pilates beginner and to other family and friends. Dont get mad when he has you run a mile or do some cardio before your reformer session, it actually makes the workout incredibly effective. The clientele at the Cupertino Bay Club is on the older side which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Im glad it is not over-crowded as the Redwood City Location, you can always find a quiet spot to work out. The staff at the front desk is always helpful and friendly. There is ton of parking in the mall lot and a nearby Starbucks.

The Bay Club is pretty awesome, but mostly because of my trainer Matthew Ryan Carney! If you are looking to recover from an injury, train for a specific event, or just increase your fitness, I highly recommend him. He is really great about tailoring workouts to your specific goals and needs. He helped me recover from a hip flexor injury in time for my trip to Yosemite. I was not getting the results I wanted from physical therapy and am so glad I found Matthew through my sister who was already training with him at Bay Club. I went from having acute hip flexor pain and limping every time I did over 3 miles of activity to pain free after the 8.5+ miles of the ascent to Half Dome. I really thought that I was not going to be able to summit due to my injury and was so happy that I was able to make it to the top and back down!! If you enjoy Pilates, you should definitely go see him for some hardcore or rehabilitative reformer training!

Hi must share....i was getting some automotive work done ..had visited the Starbucks at the Bay Club before..but decided to try the 3 day pass..Met Johnny, staff sales person at the Bay Club and showed me around. OMG loved it instantly, services there, the yoga options, pilates, business exec rooms to use as well or for my workshops i do in feng shui. It truly has it all. Love the environment, staff is smiling, space is so well used, honestly i cant say more then i am so pleased i joined into this community and so agrees with my personal needs on many levels. Johnny was a pure professional relaxed joy to talk with and i would give this all 11 stars if i could...Happy, Roshandra,

Great club to work out at! The fitness area is not crowded at all, which I love! The reason for the 3 stars is- well, the womens wet area. Its absolutely gorgeous and clean but Im not sure about the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi left a terrible smell on ny skin, which made me immediately showered after. Poor hygiene... its definitely made me decide not to become a member here. The jacuzzi is a major key, after my workout, shower and then I like to loosen the muscles in the jacuzzi. Theres definitely something in the water folks! The steam and sauna rooms are spacious!
