This gym is a bit run down and needs a major renovation. There are two levels here and the second floor is where you find the entrance, which is unlike your typical 24HR Fitness. The machines are also very old and there are not enough of them during peak hours. There used to be ONE abdominal machine in the whole gym that was semi functional. Now it is gone. I guess it finally broke so theres no ab machine in the whole gym which is ridiculous and everybody knows how important their abs are. I mentioned that there are two floors in the whole gym. It sounds big but in reality the work out area is really small. Lets see the Nautilus machines occupy just a small area in the front and this is where most people work out. It is extremely crowded during peak hours and needs to be expanded. Theres a big basketball court that not everybody, especially females, use all the time. I think it could be use for additional purposes. The racquetball room seems to be underutilized as well. Lights are always off when I walk by. The free weight room seems to be the second busiest place but they could allocate a few Nautilus machines here to ease congestion upstairs. In my honest opinion they can reduce the size of that big swimming pool. Hardly anyone swims in the cold, foggy weather of Daly City even though its an indoor pool. I dont know who designed the locker rooms but I wouldnt ask this person to design another gym. Why? There are just two urinals and sitting toilets for the whole building of thousands of members. What were they thinking? The locker room area is always filthy and stinks badly. Recently, they hired a good janitor that cleans the area well. But it gets dirty right away the minute hes done cleaning. The members themselves are not very keen on keeping their own gym clean. Many are grown adults who should know better. The shower area? Just way too cramp and not enough shower heads. You can reach out and touch each other Like I wrote earlier, this place needs a major renovation. It really reflects bad on this chain when you see other much nicer 24 HR Fitness than this one.

I have been to four 24 Hour Fitness locations and this is by far the worst. I utilize public transit so sadly from my home location this is the most convenient and I enjoy BodyPump which is only offered by 24 Hour. The list of problems with this gym are lengthy. 1. Cleanliness - Mens locker rooms are disgusting. There is no regular maintenance. How can I tell? ALL of the soap dispensers out of soap, how is there no toilet paper? If someone was even attempting to make a round even once an hour that would not occur. I have NEVER observed anyone cleaning these locker rooms. I understand a bigger cleaning is done in the overnight but there should be general upkeep through the day. I do not blame all of this on the gym, as some of the filth is due to members just not caring. The spa area is also not maintained I understand in humid locations rust happens but one of the doors recently was so rusted it came off the hinges. How is something left to go that long before being replaced? 2. Temperature Control - There is no ventilation, every other 24 hour location I have been to is comfortable, I think this location turns the AC off to save money, this includes the Group X Fitness Room. 3. Machines - The cardio equipment is old and rusty often breaking down for days at a time. I pay the same as other members but when I am visiting friends or have access to a vehicle and get to visit another Sport or Active location and see a cleaner more well kept gym it is disturbing. Overall, go spend the extra money for membership at Crunch at Serramonte Center.

After reading all the bad reviews I was a bit concerned about going to this 24 Hr Fitness, but since it is the closest facility to where I live I went to check it out. I took a tour of the entire place with the manager before signing up with a Silver and Fit Plan. (For folks 65 and over with certain insurance plans.) The place was clean. It didnt smell bad at all. The womens locker room was well lit and well maintained. The manager mentioned the things he had remodeled and talked about some things that were next on his list. He was very kind to me and very considerate. I have been in gyms where as an older woman I have really felt discounted and beneath being worthy of help. I didnt feel that way at this gym at all. All the staff I met there were courteous and friendly. I would suggest before believing all the negative Yelp and Google reviews that you go and check out the Daly City 24 Hr Fitness for yourself. I am glad that I did. I am really glad they have an indoor swimming pool!

K well its not the best 24 hour location but its a good gym. It has a pool, sauna, basketball court, plenty of weights and machines. Also a lot of cardio equipment and they have a lot of classes listed though I have never taken any of them. The people that work their are nice. It is also not that dirty or smelly. Again its a gym so its going to get a little hot when its busy and when the weather is a bit a warm. My only thing is it can get very busy during the usual times of 5-10pm and wished it could be little bigger. I usually go during the day or late at night so I can get more done.

Probably one of the most disgusting gyms that Ive ever walked into. Im not even a clean freak or germaphobe ...but this was ridiculous. The entire place clearly has never been cleaned. Their entire downstairs weight area is filthy, greasy, hot, very humid, and crowded...no air ventilation. Just walking into the putrid locker rooms / bathrooms made me realize what a health hazard this place is. Do NOT come here. Clearly management has been too cheap/ complacent to fix anything.

Its stinky, dirty, and ghetto, but its cheap and gets the job done. Im just here to work out and go home. If you cant ignore the swampy odors and the old men who shamelessly flaunt their junk, then this is not the place for you. One thing that does irk me is that theres only about one set of 5lb. or 10lb. weights, while theres enough 45lb. plates to rack 10 of them on every barbell in the gym. Its great if you can bench/squat 500+lbs., but not all of us are hulking behemoths.

I am a member of 24 hours fitness for about 4 years. This place has not done a thing to improve its appeal. I just went there yesterday to use the hot tub after 2 years, but I am not going there again, I prefer to drive 3 more miles and go to a cleaner place. I highly thought their tub and floor Hygiene. They think they can treat us the costumers like dogs!, but it is out fault too, we keep signing up at this place.

Very bad condición all the gym in general. Mainly Jacuzzi handle falling down ( one side),. Shower areas very dirty... Bathrooms disgusting dirty. All floor dirty. Hand driers broken apart and very dirt.... NO HOT WATER. 2 days... Employees DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO SAY. JUST IGNORING THE SITUACION AT THEIR OWN WORKING PLACE VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CLUB.
