I used to work at this location and when I first got hired there I was so excited. My first day of work (I did not go through an orientation) they expected me to know the location of all of the products in the store, which is huge and I was not familiar with this particular location. Most of the employees here are very rude however there are a few really nice girls that work here. When we go to work we are given a clear purse to carry all of our belongings in to prevent stealing from employees. However, I was not told we would have to get our makeup "stamped" by the management. So on my break on like my second day of work I was putting on a lipgloss I had bought many months before I even started working there (you could even tell that there was very little product in the bottle). One of the managers saw me putting on this lipgloss and took it from me and threw it away!!!!! She had (1) accused me of stealing when I had not (2) failed to explain to me we would have to get our makeup we brought to work "stamped" (3) thrown away MY makeup without telling ME first. The day after that I put in my notice. But it doesnt end there. I quit there almost 6 months ago and I still have not received my last check from 6 months ago!!! I have called the management as well as HR multiple times and they have been very slow to help me. They have told me many times they would call me back with updates on getting me my last check but they never call back. Keep in mind these are the managers of the store. To make things worse they told me that Ulta could take out $25 out of my check because they had to reissue me a new one (my original check supposedly got ""lost in the mail""). I was so excited to work here bc I love Ulta but I would definitely not recommend you waste your time applying here.

I used to love going here to grab items I needed but after my experience last week I think Ill start going back to Sephora or just order online. It was a weekday at about 4:15 and there were at least 5 maybe more workers on the floor. No one asked me if I needed anything and I felt like I was being watched like a hawk. I made it a point to not ask for help to see if anyone would ask me and not a one. I picked up the Chrissy Teigan Becca makeup to have a look at it. Guess its a popular item to steal because it had a little alarm. When I put it back the little alarm on the back went off. A lady from the salon walked over and looked me up and down. I said, oh it was me who set it off. She just looked at me like whatever. Since I knew exactly what other products I needed I walked to the different sections and picked them up. I felt like all the workers were just hovering and watching me like I was going to steal something. Never felt like that there before. When I went to check out the two checkout ladies were more interested in who was coming in on a shift then ringing me up. Worst customer service I have ever experienced there before. This experience will be why I wont be going back.

First of all I have shopped at Ulta since I found out we had one (which was my junior year of high school). This location is the closest one to me so I do come here often. I prefer Ulta regardless of the location than Sephora any day of the week. You can find better sales, rewards, and can shop drugstore as well as higher end products. I do not usually come here for customer service because usually I know what I am buying when I enter the store. However rude employees can make the environment uncomfortable. The cashiers for the most part are helpful and greet you (most of the time) when you enter the store. The sales associates are another story and to be honest most of them will not customer service you. You will have to flag one down and hope they arent already helping someone else. They tend to customer service a certain demographic of Clovis looking soccer moms or those who look like they have money. I think customer service can defiantly use an unbiased improvement. All in all product wise this location has the products I enjoy at great prices so no complaints there.

Poor front end management with not enough help to check out customers in line. Absolutely no regard for people waiting in line. Sadly many customers had to wait in line a long time with only two clerks available when one of the clerks decides to explain to the current person after she had checked her out how to use a product & apply with a really long, long conversation and no regard for everyone waiting in line. Very inappropriate with so many people in line waiting. Only reason discussion stopped was the next person in line finally walked up and asked if the clerk would check her out while she was talking to other customer. She got the hint & finally quit her conversation. About the same time a manager came to help check but the manager did not even apologize for wait or say thank you for purchase. At this store I have always had to wait in line but usually clerks very apologetic for wait or offered product samples to customers in line while apologizing. Hopefuly management will work on this as customers time is valuable.

Very few employees know their inventory. I pretty much find most things on my own. With the exception of a few knowledgeable and helpful gals (who they need to clone), most dont have a clue. I kept telling this one dingaling what I was looking for & she insisted they didnt carry it even though I had purchased it before. She told me that I should go online. Lazy! Do they not know that if consumers go online for everything, theyll be out of a job??!! Lines are ridiculously long, it takes way too long to find anything, and unless I specifically ask for a brand, I get no help. They have no idea how to take a complaint unless its "sorry about that". The products are way overpriced. Like I said, if it werent for a few really sweet gals, I wouldnt go in there at all.

Not all the products as sephora and not as classy inside but much more relaxed so I prefer it over sephora most days. The employees are either really nice or REALLY snooty...and one day theyll hustle you to see if you need help, and another day they are nowhere to be found if you need help!!! So my visits differ from day to day. Sometimes I feel like they watch you too much, almost like they are afraid of shoplifters and I mean COME ON your in Northwest Fresno not Southwest, give it a break. I have to walk in and know exactly what I want before I go in there...its not a browsers store for sure. I love all things makeup, hair, skin and fragrance so if you do too just give it a whirl and see what you think....

The ladies working the floor were helpful but none of them approached me or greeted me, I had to personally track someone working the floor to ask them about a product. I didnt mind, some of them were busy, its understandable. But what bugged me was the lady at the cash register, the one with all the tattoos. I watched her nicely greet the customer before me, smiling while making eye contact up until I walked up to her cash register, she didnt greet me, didnt smile, nor did she make any eye contact. She dropped my change, which she did apologize for, thats fine. But instead of properly handing me my bag, she tossed it to me.
