Before I moved from SF to HMB, I was worried I wouldnt find a cutter and colorist like the ones I saw at 77 Maiden Lane in the City. I didnt have to worry. Carla and her crew have consistently given me great service for the nearly 20 years I have been going to her. They listen to my desires and also give their suggestions, which usually turn out better than what I had in mind. I also love that they are a full-service salon, with mani, pedi, make-up and tanning services. Last but not least, they are dog-friendly, so I can bring my little doggie and see doggies other customers--and stylists--bring. Kudos to Mizu!

I whent to Mizu to cut my hair three months ago. I have really curly hair and I never wear it straight. Now three months later I decided to flatten my hair and I realize how un even it is. I decided to give them a call and ask if I can come over and have them fix my hair that is so horribly cut. The lady says they cant fix my hair without charging me for another haircut. This wasnt horrible experience and I suggest you stay as far away from Mizu with your hair as possible. I would never recommend going ther.

One would never think of finding a high-end salon in such a small community, but here it is...Mizu. The salon is loaded with talent: hair cutters, colorists,and stylists abound. They offer full services in waxing, facials and massage. They even have an eyelash specialist. This is a one-stop shop thats hard to beat when it comes to professionalism. Oh, yes, they are even dog-friendly. As for prices for the services they offer, they are within reasonable range. Best of all...youre gonna love your hair.

Alex is great! Im a guy and usually go to a barber or one of those chop shops in the strip mall. My wife went to MZ and said she liked the people and saw other guys there. I decided to give it a try and felt comfortable going there. Best cut Ive had in years. I see Alex and she consistently does a great job. Nice people, really great atmosphere, excellent and consistent cut. Guys wont feel out of place here.

I just moved here from Texas and its so nice to find a salon that is full of talent and smiles. Im thrilled that this place is in Half Moon Bay. Carla colored my hair and it turned out better than what I had envisioned. Not only is she full of talent, she is also quite funny. One of the best salon visits Ive ever had. The staff at Mizu Salon always go out of their way to make sure your visit is the best, from the time you walk through the door until they put the finishing touches on your hair. I can always depend on Carla and all the others to make me look my best. I also love the luxurious facials by Rachel. The Aveda products are my favorite, especially the hair color. Highly recommend!

I have been Mizu now for 5 plus years for haircuts and now coloring. They totally updated my look and I get a ton of compliments. Amy does my haircut and coloring and she is awesome. The vibe is also great as everyone is extremely friendly. By far the best place on the coast to get professional styling!
