I only took a tour of Child Time and was put on a wait-list because there are no spots available until August/September 2015. I also had visited La Petites daycare an hour before and hated La Petite and I was expecting the same from Child Time because they are sister schools and I was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean, professional and I like the curriculum and I really like the low ratio. I think Child Time uses Reggio as well? Im not sure but thats what it said in the book they have in the front office although the curriculum she showed me was a school readiness pathway that I cannot remember the name of. Anyhow I enjoyed my tour thoroughly and unlike La Petite it was very spacious. La Petite had such a small miserable yard where Child Time had three dedicated areas to each age group. The food is designed by a nutritionist and they provide a lot so you, parent(s), dont have to worry about it: burp clothes, sippy cups, etc. Child Time also has a key pad entry. However my only suggestion would be to make that entrance more secure the gates were so old and safety in addition to cleanliness are my biggest concerns thats why I didnt give Child Time 5 stars.

Childtime property is next to door to our mobile home park. The children play outside during 10am hour and from 3pm to pickup time. While the sounds of children playing is pleasant, the CONSTANT SCHRILL SCREAMING by a couple of children is unnerving. The children are allowed to run wild, with no organized games or interaction with "teachers". Most times, the teachers gather together and stand around talking with each other ... It would be appreciated if the children were taught playground etiquette and a little consideration for the schools neighbors. Maybe an indoor "time out" for a couple of days for the screamers would quiet them down. One can hope ...

We enrolled our daughter for week and promptly took her out. One of our issues was around the usage of bleach to clean the infant toys. The infant room reeked of bleach. I was told that the toys are cleaned in bleach every day and that there was a 3-point system in which the bleach was used first and then thoroughly rinsed off as to not be transmitted to the babies. I asked to see the room where this was done and sure enough, the bleach was the last step in the "3 step" process. This means that the babies, who put everything in their little mouths, were getting a mouthful of bleach every day.

I enrolled my 2 year old son at Childtime in HB in late 2009 and my 4 month old daugher in the summer of 2010 its the best decision Ive ever made. The teachers are delightful and are so fully invested in my childrens development! They truly care about his growth and learning. My son comes home with arms full of art and his head full of the knowledge theyre bestowing on him, which I have to say is impressive for his age group. My one year old daughter is learning a ton as well. All told, this is the best daycare / preschool ever!

This is a wonderful childcare center and preschool. My daughter started attending in 2012 when she was 16 months old and my twins started attending a few months ago when they were 3 months old. The teachers are wonderful and the kids learn so much in a fun and caring environment. I would highly recommend this center for anyone looking for a daycare or preschool in the Huntington beach area.
