I have to give it up to Jason & Amber @ Great Hire. Were a growing manufacturing center and I must have 3-5 "Staffing Managers" come in each week promising the world but givng me no motivation to speak to them. Half the time its a pretty face with a box of cookies that doesnt have a clue what our company even does. While thats nice and all, I dont have time for it and quickly brush them off. Our staffing agency of 2 years abruptly went out of business due to losing their ability to provide work/comp and I was left scrambling. I thankfully kept a card from a rep that had consistently visited my office, Amber Karp, and stood out from the crowd. The fact that she did some prior due diligence about what our company does and how they differed from every other cookie cutter agency left enough of an impression that I didnt shred her card with the rest of them. She didnt try to sell me some lowball pie in the sky rate, which Im always skeptical of. Yes fellow employers, if an agency is quoting you less or close to what it would cost you yourself there is something wrong there. Not that you should take a high rate by any means but just use some common sense. Ive heard some nightmare stories of agencies not paying their employees payroll taxes or work/comp premiums. Not a position you want to be associated with. Anyhow this is getting long winded, but bottom line is Great Hire has lived up to our expectations so far. I agree strongly with some other reviews that they are really attentive to any issues that arise and seem to screen employees pretty well before sending them over. I never have an issue reaching our contacts there regardless of what time or day it is. Thats huge for me. Yes, they are a really good staffing agency and worth taking a meeting with!
