I live across the street from this Kija hair salon and have seen it for about 4 months now....Frankly, I was skeptical to try them out because the salon looked so nice inside and I assumed that equated to it being expensive. Being as non-commital as possible I gave them a call today asking if they do mens cuts and for how much. I was astonished that they charge the same for a cut and shampoo as the discount hair cut stores do. When I entered the salon, I was greeted by nearly the whole staff and was taken to the back where they wash your hair. I immediately noticed that instead of those neck breaking chairs and sinks most salons have, they had a bed like contraption which you lay on and is quite comfortable (I would pay them to wash my hair for an hour if they offered it, literally!). Next, the owner was the one to cut my hair and frankly it was he best hair cut I have ever had. She made my sideburns perfect, not too short or too long; and without me even telling her, she DIDNT give me those hideous sidewalls around my ears like most stylist do (you know when they cut your hair about a 1/4" above your ear- I hate that!). The salon is a family run business and as a result very friendly and customer oriented. Due to my profession, I get my haircut on a bi-weekly basis, so I have had many haircuts and have been to many salons (ranging from 6 dollar cuts to 40 dollar cuts), and by far, this place has the most friendly staff with a no pressure, relaxing atmosphere; and to top it all off, she did a superb job on my hair! I would definitely recommend this salon to everyone that needs a professional, high quality salon cut for an affordable price (and without the attitude you get from most prima donna stylists and receptionists). Needless to say, I will be there again in two weeks! (For what its worth, because I am never too amazed with anyone these days, this is my first time posting an online review of something, but I honestly think that their attention to my hair deserved a little reciprocity, and warranted the time it took for me to write this.) As I said before, I would definitely recommend this place, and if youre in the area you should check them out.

First of all I was looking for a Korean/Japanese hair style, but this is not the place. The barber done my hair harshly, made me very uncomfortable, feels like hes rushing to get the job done although the place is not crowded. Even worse, he sprayed A LOT of water on my head which dribbled all over my face when he start using scissors, I was surprised of this happening. The lady who washed my hair had gloves on both hands which made it impossible to knowing what the temperature were, she started with cold water right onto my head without waiting the water turns warm. It does not end here, before the wash ends, the water turns to extremely hot, I was like $&@"&.... I was reading the reviews and they seems all good, but it is not my experience. Other than those I mentioned above, everything was done in about 15 minutes and my hair style totally changed without communication. Actually I dont know if he speaks English, we had a hard time communicating about the hair style. If you are looking for Asian hair style especially Korean/Japanese, than I strongly recommend to go elsewhere.

I love this hair salon!! I highly recommend it to friends and family as well as anyone else looking for a salon with affordable prices and great quality. Everyone is friendly and conversational, and so funny! The store is so clean and nice as well, they even offered me tea. :) I had my hair done with the Keratin treatment when I first came in, and I HIGHLY recommend this treatment for anyone tired of constantly straightening their hair! My hair is naturally curly, but after the treatment and even my first shower I noticed a drastic change; my hair was MUCH more relaxed. I can blow dry it straight in 20 minutes as opposed to the hour it took before! I cant wait to come in to Kija for my next Keratin treatment, great experience!

Im very new to the area and was way over due for a hair cut. Ive been going to supercuts for years and was not happy with the work so I wanted to try some place new. Kija has a very reasonable mens pricing, not to mention shampoo is included in the price. The staff was very courteous. I sat down with Helen Kim and she actually opened a magazine to see what style would work well for me. I have never had that sort of experience before here in the States and was very impressed. She did an excellent job with the limited information I provided and within 15 minutes I was out the door with a big smile on my face. Im definitely returning. Be sure to call ahead for an appointment.

This place is amazing! Its the first place that I truly LOVE what the stylist does to my hair every time, and as far as I know they are the BEST hair salon in the area!! Nice and cute salon with a cool vibe and incredibly sweet stylists. I honestly cant say enough good things about them. My sister and I just love Kija salon and HIGHLY recommend them!!! Their knowledge and talent is rare when it comes to hair and we could not have been more happy and lucky to have them. Thank you!

First time I visited this hair salon, because I wanted try and change mine hairstylist a had for an years. This is best choice I made. The salon owner Sima has a gold hands she cut my hairs and did exactly stile I wanted and look great on my. I got o lot of compliments from my friends my new look is amazing! The hair master Sima are very professional and her daughters Atesa and Salda great team! Thank you Ms. Sima you did great job I love it! Best Regards, Grazina

I have been looking for the PERFECT place to get my haircut because I am insanely picky about my hair.. I finally tried the Kija hair salon and was absolutely blown away. I worked with Sima, she did EXACTLY what I asked, listened to everything I said and made suggestions to fit my face, personality, and style. I couldnt be happier. She truly gave me the haircut of my dreams and I feel, confident, and thrilled with my new look. Her assistant Salda was very cute and helpful.

Omar, the Men Hair Stylist is SUPERB. Hes very sharp, neat and would do the cut you like even if you brought a picture of the hair cut sample on your cell phone! Not only an amazing barber but also a better human being. I’m very picky about the results of my haircuts, and am disappointed on so many times with different hairstyle places. But after having my hair done by Omar I will definitely be back again to Kija. Keep in mind that the price is very reasonable too.

Dont come on a weekend without an appointment. The guy will squeeze you in and try to cut your hair in 90 seconds. The results are not encouraging and communication can be even more challenging when your 90 seconds are almost up. I stopped trying after my haircut got progressively worse. Im not going back but just wanted to give you this piece of advice to help improve your odds in case you want to roll the dice.
