I love everything about this place and the community of students and teachers that make it up. Every single teacher on the schedule delivers a grade A++ class and each with a different style. I love Carolinas classes, which are super challenging with lots of movement and unique flows and always contain some simple theme that has me journaling when I get home. Michelles ashtanga based vinyasa class has become the highlight of my Friday...it is very technical and I have learned so much from her in just a short time. Then there is Amanda who I have never seen without a smile on her face. Its super contagious, and I always leave her classes feeling reinvigorated. Also, the entire student base is super friendly. I know nearly all of my classmates by name, and it is really nice to hang out after class with everyone on the patio outside...it is a nice touch that enhances the community feel. I would also mention that I completed their teacher training in April, and it was simply amazing from beginning to end. I have done other trainings, but this program felt way more comprehensive since it lasted almost four months and because we had so many awesome guest lecturers and instructors come in. I actually would pay to do it again. It was that good. Check this place out, you will be so happy you did!!

Awesome! A really lovely space, fresh air, very pleasant, and a great selection of classes to choose from. Linda Armijo is one of the best teachers Ive ever been to. She helps so much with proper alignment, I feel "graceful" when Im in her class. :) Shes THAT good with her instruction and alignment help. (Shes awesome if you are new to yoga, or if you bring a friend who is new to yoga. I feel like a pro now with my sun salutations and down dogs because of her. Carolina and Amanda are just out of this world. More advanced for sure. I find Amandas classes are a littttle easier; with Carolina I feel like Im in Navy Seal Training ....she is one tough cookie... her classes, her style, her music...So good!!! Some days I want to go at it hard and strong, other days I want more relaxation... so I love the array of classes they offer. They are edgy and hip. Meditation with Michael is divine. The only thing I dont "love" is the parking situation - thats why the 4 stars. Such a pain parking in la jolla. I usually have to park around the block and walk a bit... La Jolla parking just is what it is.

i LOVE this place! I have been practicing here since they opened their doors in October 2014. The owners (Amanda and Carolina) are amazing. Amandas class is super fun and flowy- i like to think of it as a meditation in motion. Carolinas class is really challenging, she has crazy good sequences and she has the BEST adjustments. All of the teachers at Buddhi are A+, i love them all for different reasons. The space is full of windows, so it feels like you are practicing outside. You get to see the sky and clouds when you are in down dog and at the later classes you get to watch the sunset and it even fades to complete darkness during savasana, such a cool feeling. I completed my teacher training earlier this year. It was from January to April. I couldnt have asked for a better training. My practice has grown, and just my overall knowledge of yoga and its history and the power of having your own practice. I would suggest this studio to anyone who is visiting the area, whoever already has a practice and whoever is wanting to learn how to do yoga. This place is really for EVERYbuddhi! =)

I have been going to Buddhi yoga in downtown La Jolla since the first month that they opened. Lets just say, it was love at first class. I really enjoy the style of their classes, the teachers, and their music selection. The Buddhi yoga community has been warm and welcoming- I really enjoy the energy of their space. Some of my favorite classes are the Buddhi Flow and the Vinyassa mixed classes. There is always a great mix between strengthening, stretching, and the spiritual aspect of yoga. One of the things that I like most about the Buddhi Flow classes is that the sequences are always creative and different- no class is ever the same. I always leave the studio feeling strong, relaxed and refreshed. Oh, and did I mention that they play awesome music?!

Buddhi Yoga is hands down the best yoga studio I have had the pleasure of practicing at in the US, complete with the most outstanding yoga instructors! There are a variety of classes and almost every class is mixed level so one can practice at his/her own comfort. The studio is warm and inviting and centrally located in the heart of beautiful La Jolla. Amanda & Carolina both teach the most dynamic and inventive classes with just plain natural delivery. They also hand picked the best teachers in San Diego to lead the remaining classes that fill up the calendar of yoga options! Simply put, Buddhi Yoga is the best all-around place to enjoy an amazing yoga experience!

I was visiting La Jolla and found this great yoga studio. Im more of a beginner so I took one of their Slow Flow classes with a teacher named Linda. Her instruction was really easy to follow and it wasnt too hard, just challenging enough. The space was really clean and had natural light which I like. It was kind of small but they said they are in the process of expanding into the space next door so I cant wait to check it out the next time Im in town to see the bigger room. Everyone seems to be friends with each other, it had a nice sense of community. Overall it was great and I highly recommend this studio.

I havent been doing Yoga for very long but I have been to several studios in San Diego but I can clearly see/feel the difference at this studio. There is a tight community of students and teachers and you can tell they have a great following. All of the classes Ive been to offer top notch instruction by experienced teachers, The environment is pleasant and clean and is in a great location in La Jolla right on Girard. The music is always on point and the workout is great, regardless of level. Parking can be a pain at peak times but not enough to deter me from this amazing Yoga Studio.

Buddhi Yoga is hands down my favorite yoga studio in La Jolla/San Diego. Carolina and Amanda have created a beautiful space and even more a sense of community. I have been practicing yoga for 16+ years and can honestly say that the quality of instruction at Buddhi Yoga is top notch. I not only teach at the studio, but happily practice there as well. It is rare to find a studio in which every one of the teachers is knowledgeable, creative and personable. It doesnt matter whose name is on the schedule, you are sure to leave feeling amazing and well cared for.

There are so many yoga studios in the area, but once I tried a few classes at Buddhi, I was hooked! I wanted a studio with a nice balance of different types of classes, and I found that here. Being new to yoga, I knew I didnt want to go corporate, and Buddhi is the complete opposite of that. The studio is so adorable, the staff is always smiling, and the whole studio vibe is super friendly. Theres also a really cute shop here with some awesome clothes and jewlery!
