My familys experience was a little over a year ago and I have been remiss to post a review...until now. When my mother-in-law passed we knew she would be buried at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills next to my father-in-law who had predeceased her. What we did not know were all the details. We were helped through the process by the kind professionals at Forest Lawn. From their coming to the house and picking her up (she was on hospice care) to the choosing of everything for the service to the service itself (and afterwards) the staff were helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and considerate. We did not have a priest to officiate over the service and were referred by the staff to a celebrant, Marsha Mendizza. Marsha was absolutely wonderful. We communicated by phone and email. We met in person. And, when the time for the service arrived, Marsha was well prepared to represent our mother and our family. I cannot say enough about Marsha. In fact, she did such a wonderful job, when our uncle passed a few months later, our cousins had Marsha act on their behalf as the officiant. I think anyone who resides in the LA area knows the reputation of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills but I want to make sure everyone knows their recommendations for loved ones services are superb, up to and including the celebrant officiant. And, should you decide to use a celebrant, I highly recommend Marsha Mendizza.

I advise anyone to try and shop around for a casket and flowers as those can be less expensive if bought on your own (casket makers can deliver overnight) BUT as far as the graveside service that we had at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills it could not have been better. The only bad thing was when I called to say that my mother had passed away, the answering service was not very personable and I had to hold, but after that everything was top notch. We added the dove release, they got the priest for us (all for money of course) they even provided 6 well dressed (suit and tie) gentlemen who carried the casket to the graveside. The two gentlemen in charge of our service were very polite and professional and assured that everything ran 100% smoothly. Beautiful site area, highly recommend.

I recently had occasion to arrange for a loved ones resting place at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills. It was a traumatic time, but the staff was courteous, professional, and respectful-- and not pushy. The grounds are peerless and are kept in perfect condition. The funeral director was readily available by phone and email. They accommodated our preferences and followed up with phone calls and thoughtful cards. The death certificates and deed to the plot came promptly. I highly recommend Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.

From our first meeting with our counselor Frank we were guided through the process with empathy and professionalism. The process was as simple as can be expected under the circumstances. Any questions we had were answered in a timely manner. All of the staff are very respectful and go out of their way to ensure that your experience is positive and is one that will be remembered. Dont bother thinking about dying and being buried here, unless you have deep pockets. Everything is exaggeratedly overpriced and they charge up the you know what for every smallest item/detail. It will be the most expensive paper clip you will ever buy! Oh, by the way, they wont tell you this but one does not have to buy anything from them (expect the plot and pay for the chapel rental). Casket, flowers etc...can be bought online for 1/3 of what you will spend here.

i had a encounter with the security guard here they harassed us and when i started recording one my phone and exercise my right he said he didnt care about the rights we have in the country he wasnt born here i could tell by his accent he must not know hes in america most horrible experience ever especially in a place where we went to see our love one.

I think I may go by there and pay my respects for Paul Walker, I never knew him personally but I am a fan of his work and I still get tears running down my face to this day, and I miss him because I wont be able to see him in the movies again, R.I.P. This forest lawn is a lot smaller than the Glendale location, and not as nice in my opinion. Theres a huge area that has no grass and looks really ugly. Not sure if they reworking that area or what, but its a huge eye sore, and when its windy it picks up the dirt and debris and blows it all over the place.

Its hard when loved ones passes away. I really want to say how the staffs here at Forest Lawn are incredibly nice and genuinely sincere. Its a nice building with many rooms to accomdate guest for the viewing. The staffs are very helpful and are there for you if you need anything during the service.

Beautiful and serene, rolling hills and green valleys in every direction, but when my friend Donny died after a brief scuffle with nihilists, they insisted on charging me over 4K for a receptacle and refused to show me their rental options. Had to go to Ralphs.
