i been with this cemetery/ mortuary for long time now, my 2 sister in law and my parents are buried there. Ive always had problems with maintenance, every time i go and visit them everything is dirty dry grass, etc. never the less i have been putting up with it. also the staff members are not welcoming at all only when you are purchasing the space and going for the first time they treat you okay. what topped this whole situation, i recently had a loss and its been a pain to even coordinate everything. i walked in there with my hart broken, and what do they do as soon as i informed them why was i there ..... they responded to me you still have a balance. unfortunately i am so sad and heartbroken and cant seem to remember where my original paperwork was . they charged me everything that i had already paid for. i asked for a print out of my original perches and they were making 101 excuses for them not to print it. staff there has no compaction they dont care about our pain and suffering for our loss and they just want the money. i am requiring services that i have paid for and they still want me to coordinate everything. i am very upset that this place instead of making things easier for me and my family. i hope this review prevents other people from getting a bad experience at this place when you are suffering with a loss.

Es un lugar donde uno se reúne con tanta gente o familia y es el lugar menos indicado para volverse a ver pero el lugar es para reflexionar de la vida y reflexionar es triste estar con el corazón partido por la pérdida de una persona conocida pero ahí se ve quien en verdad esta con uno en esos momentos más duros de un ser humano ! Hoy 4/3/16 estuve presente con mi familia diciéndole a dios a un gran ser humano y pidiendo por su familia una fortaleza por Dios !! En paz descanse Jose Luis Garcia!

Mission Hills Mortuary has receptionists that dont give a damn about your loved ones. They do their nails and make you wait while you are eager to enter the mortuary. They do not have a listing of the grave sites where they buried your loved one, nor do they attempt to assist you beyond, "Well, you could go look for them yourself." Myself? Out of thousands of people buried there, how am I supposed to find my grandfather who died more than 10 years ago? I am so disappointed in the service and will be moving my cremation plans to a different mortuary. This is horrific!

Somebody stole my daughters flowers here at this cemetery. We put it Saturday September 3, 2016. I mean, come on. Be respectful to the dead. Security here is 0. They left here a bunch of garbage too aside from just taking her flower. My wife is very emotional about this and she is very upset. I called the phone number for San Fernando Mission and they have the answering service today. Understandable, but I requested them to take a message and give me a call as possible and the guy at the answering service said ok but it might not be tomorrow.

Its very clean and there are always staff members driving around cleaning, watering the lawn, trimming the bushes and maintaining the whole place looking great for when you come pay your respect to your loved one. once you are there it feels very calm and relaxing. I have heard over the years that Richi Valens is here but I am not sure where or have not bother to look I come here for one specific purpose and not as sight seen.

Unfortunately they give you misleading information. I wish I could give them a zero star if I could. Their staff promise to help coordinate the services but my mother, sister, and myself had to do all the coordination. The cemetery is nice and clean but the mortuary services are poor. You have the option of going to another mortuary where it is cheaper & provide you with better services. Hope this helps

I have only one complaint about San Fernando Mission Cemetery, our family purchase a permanent vase for our parent plots, and they keep removing it. This has been going on for over 20 years. I made a visit today and found no vase, I will call the cemetery again and get them to replace it.

The only reason they even get a star is because of convenience of being so close to our house other than that, they are extremely over priced, their customer service is horrible and dont have any simpathy for you at all. This is the last place id want my body to rest when I pass.

You can definitely tell that its a business and they treat you like you are a customer not a family member so cold so rude and they give you miss information about your plots including not letting you know if there is a double plot they were prepared to charge us extra money

During a very difficult time I was treated in the most professional manner by everyone at the mortuary and cemetery. I had many questions and each was answered; even when I called days later. I appreciate each and every person that directly worked with me and my family.

Money, money, money. Ive been here and dealt with the staff. Unfortunately, to them your loved ones are nothing more than an object which provides a means of bilking you for as much money as they can. I guess they have a lot of "bills" to pay.

Toys and Dolls

Not the friendliest place to go to for funeral services. Difficult to deal with, will not recommend. I ended up going to Bastian & Perrott, Oswald Mortuary in Northridge instead and they where much better in professionalism and price wise.
