Much much much much much too pricey for what you get. They just raised the basic monthly admission from $230 to $260. Yes, that is ~$210 more than what you would pay at 24 hr fitness. (All of this after forking over the ~$1000 initiation fee) But this must be because there is already so much included, right? Wrong! Granted, there is a healthy schedule of gym classes, OK towel service and a cleanliness and roominess above what you would get elsewhere, but $260 a month? Give me a break. The personal trainers wont even say hi to you if you dont shell out another $90-$150 per session. I was promised 3 introductory training sessions as part of me joining the club but when I asked the trainer for advice about my training routine he looked at me as if I was out for free stuff and only met me in the office twice, the real training would start when I buy a packet of training sessions for another $350- special price if I buy now. Whatever services the club offers inside are consistently more expensive than what you would pay for the same outside, while the gym equipment itself is practically identical to what you would find at any other gym. Surprisingly its also quite crowded during rush hour, there is often a line for the showers around 8:30 am. Mouldy shower curtains, dusty lockers and an aging overpriced cafeteria that is always too loud. I always had the impression the staff was underpaid Walmart style. But then how about participating in a teeth-whitening event for only $99 or a visit to the Spa for another 200? Bay Club is a money extraction scheme. Unless you desire to throw a lot of cash out of the window look elsewhere.

Bay Club Courtside is a vary nice place to give your body its needed work out, and I have been a member since 2003. The club administration has been on a drive to grow membership, and appear to be successful at it, which I wholeheartedly applaud. I respect everybodys right to grow their business. The problem is that concurrent with the increased membership, there are less workers to do the necessary cleaning up of the facility (bottom line?). Consequently, more often than not, there are towels scattered everywhere on the floors, crowded showers at peak hour. In the mens locker room, often there would be a wet sock smell because of the poor ventilation. In addition, somehow the etiquette seems to deteriorate. It would be helpful if the member pick-up after themselves (Yes, its you. guys). So, in conclusion, I liked it, but the administration need to polish up the club, and the member should try to keep it a great place.

I signed up for the bay club family membership. The allure was all of the different activities and classes. During my time here I have experienced continual changes of pool rules in regards to children. The pool heaters have failed. It is extremely difficult to find parking. I also signed my kids up for semi-private classes where the instructor has had poor communication and charged me the original $199 for 6 sessions and $620 for unknown reasons. I did not have email communication nor able to use the online portal due to several errors during the initial sign up with the gym consultant. Finally, for the high price for the gym, the tennis courts are another additional charge. The pros is that it has a nice fitness area that do not always seem full. There are separate adult and family pools. I enjoyed my time at the JCC much better and would highly recommend over the Bay Club.

As part of our new membership, we got one free session with a trainer of our choice. I love the fact that they post the bios and background, focus of all their very experienced and professional trainers. Of course, as in all gyms, you pay extra for a personal trainer. I was soooo impressed with the woman I chose, Iris, for my freebie, I signed up for five sessions with her. She is extremely conscientious. Our first meeting included a full interview about my health, ailments, injuries and goals. She knows me very well and works with me to help me achieve my goals. Ive continued to work with Iris over a period of six months. I space out my sessions with her. After each session, I do the workout on my own for 4 to 6 weeks to master the exercises. Then the next session we step it up to a higher level. Ive continued the same format, getting stronger and fitter as we go.

I LOVE this place. Its simply awesome! Great atmosphere, and they have a full tennis court! I love tennis! :) They Gym is great as well. machines are well taken care off, and theres a kid programs as well. The price is a little more than some other gyms i have attended, but for the amount of service you get, you cant compare because this place will win every single time, hands down.

Id say for the money they charge the service and experience overall should be much better. The place is outdated and extremely crowded, they have one jacuzzi outdoors and there were 14-15 people in it. Gym area is small, dressing rooms are crowded. To be honest, Ive been to clubs that costs 5 times less and have better, newer equipment and much less crowded.

For the price of membership, we were disappointed. The gym had a lot of cardio equipment, but not a large assortment of weight items/machines. On the plus side, the tennis courts were in top shape and the pop-up BBQs are delicious. At times, the club also felt like an overgrown frat house for the rich.

Of all the area Bay Clubs, I love Curtsied the best. It is a sanctuary from all the bustle. The programs are great, I love the equipment, the spa, the shops and I like the warm pool and the cool pool so I can pick. I use the hot tub and pools year round and always feel comfortable.

The marketing and what you are sold is not whats delivered at a price point thats 2X of other clubs. The parking, swim lane, locker and exercise machine availability during peak hours is horrendous.

A snobbish, oversexed meat market. Pretentious and fake. Ill take the JCC or LG Swim and Racquet any day, any time of the week, month, year.

This club has it all: indoor tennis courts, state of the art fitness equipment, a great spa, and associated clubs all over the West

Fancy gym across the street from Netflix. Not my kind of sports activity, but if it were, this would be the place to enjoy.
