I took Yenne Guiberts Cuban Rumba, Salsa and Folkloric class and IT WAS AMAZING!!! Yenne is a fantastic instructor--she made the class very fun and very educational--taking the time to convey the context and meaning of the movements and the music. The live drumming by Siete Potencias made the class absolutely exceptional. They kept the music coming for the full 2 hour class--what a perfect afternoon! The floor at Studio 24 is excellent and the whole place looked great as usual (I come for other events as well.) Highly recommend! Im looking forward to taking some more Cuban Salsa classes in addition to tango and milonga at Studio 1924.

Studio 1924 is one of the top destinations for Tango in the Bay Area. There is an excellent rotation of local DJs plus an awesome new floor and ample parking near by. If you are trying to maintain a small carbon footprint, it is very close to 19th Street Bart. Count and Melissa have taken meticulous care to create a fantastic dance experience and Sunday afternoons have become my favorite time to tango.

HIP HOP WITH ANGELA IS AWESOME! Great choreography and a really fun class. Im a total beginner and Angela is great--she really adjusts to your level. Definitely the best dance class Ive taken in Oakland--highly recommend this place.
