Well I had them do two different brake jobs and I can tell you not only was I WAY overcharged but also the qualify of work was terrible. Both cars left with noisy breaks, it sounded like both cars needed new brakes already. I found out later this happened because they didnt grease them which they are supposed to do. Also on one of may cars the breaks smelled like they were burning once I had to use my breaks for about two miles going downhill on a canyon road which isnt supposed to happen. Also they will try to get you to do your rotors as well, whether you need it or not. They got me the first time but not on my second car. The guy who did my breaks on the 2nd car even said I didnt need new rotors just breaks but then the fat boss guy came out there and said that I needed them. They really deserve 0 stars as they will take full advantage of anyone who does not have much knowledge on brakes. I strongly recommend to stay away from this place unless you dont mind giving away extra money for a bad job. Yeah they say free lifetime breaks but they will charge you a ridiculous amount for the labor so you actually end up overpaying what you should and then get a bad job as well. I should have filed a complaint with the BBB when this had happened but I had better things to do at the time, but this guy should not be in business with doing work like that.

Okay, so there are these car maintenance coupons on sale on Groupon that you can redeem for oil changes at this Midas, among other places. If you buy one and try to redeem it here, get ready for some fun (the type most reasonable humans would probably rather avoid). This place claimed that my car (a 2002 Prius) needs a synthetic oil change, which would cost $29.99 with the coupon. Thing is, this is bunk. You can look it up yourself if you dont believe me. They absolutely insisted that theyd be violating some sort of specification if they put any other type of oil in it, and they even printed out some info from some website stating that a 2002 Prius needs "energy-conserving" oil, which they claimed means "synthetic" oil and thus an extra $30 out of my wallet. Nope, the "energy-saving" part refers to the grade of the oil, which can be either synthetic or regular. I cant believe that employees at an auto maintenance shop dont know this, which suggests theyre - whats the diplomatic term for this? - lying. Look at these reviews and consider whether you want these people working on your car. I wouldnt go back there even if it were free.

I began taking my van to Midas in Pasadena on Walnut after purchasing my van used from a friend who had been servicing the vehicle here for eight years. I have done radiator work, a smog check and just recently rack and pinion/power steering repairs and a couple of other minor repairs. Albert the manager, Jeff and the rest of the crew have taken care of my van repair needs like that of a good family doctor. These guys have always been friendly, completed the repairs in a short time and act like they care about the job theyre doing. And of course most important is that all the repairs they have done on my vehicle have been done well. The only thing that I could think that might be negative is that the waiting room is kind of small. But thats no problem because across the street on Hill you can sit at Starbucks, Quiznos, Tommies, a juice shop, gourmet hot dogs, or a Mediterranean restaurant, take your pick...

The mechanics are dishonest and rude. I went in for a simple oil change and brake check. After filling my car with the wrong transmission fluid (which they shouldnt have touched), I had to replace the transmission ($4000). I was unable to get in touch with the owner and was lied to an hung up on over the phone with the mechanic who messed up my car. This place sucks. My car was unsafe to drive after they dealt with it. Good thing I got my money bak for the damage they caused after getting proof from them that they put the wrong fluid in. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I know I am not the only one who was screwed over by them. There were other people yelling at the mechanic while I was picking up my car.

Went in with a problem that looked like it would signal the end of my car. As a Lyft driver, that would have destroyed me. Other shops in town either looked down on me for having an older American made car or were too busy. One shop told me Id need more in repairs than the car is even worth. These guys were funny, good to work with, and found and fixed what turned out to be a simple problem in less than an hour. Saved my work life and they were super fair on price. 10/10 will come again for any future need.

LOVE this Midas! I initially came to them for an oil change since I had a coupon. They were quick and honest. I came back a few more times for several other car issues, a smog test, and now a battery. Each time, the guys have taken me in right away, serviced the vehicle well, and the prices were very reasonable. Unlike many other mechanics I have been to, they have never "recommended" other services that were not necessary. These guys have been professional, honest, and timely.

My wife took in my 06 Ranger while I was at work because I couldnt. The truck was not starting until the 3rd attempt. One of the mechanics told her, "its and old truck, and they do that sometimes". Took it to a mechanic down the street and turns out I needed a new fuel pump. WILL NOT be coming back here again. Negative 1 star...

I had a groupon so i called and asked if they would honor it, They said yes, but when I reached, the guy at the counter looked at the groupon, went in to consult something and then other guy appeared saying they dont accept groupons. Very ridiculous. Glad I did not get my oil changed with them.

I would give 0 stars if I could. They tried to charge my girl $700 to change her front brakes... This is so criminal. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. Spread the word that this type of overcharging and markups for labor are unacceptable.

Typical small business owner type establishment. They dont have the lowest prices, but make up for it with trying to help. I got an oil change and 4 new tires. When it was all done, I didnt feel robbed and will probably go back.
