I called to get a quote on 2 tires for a family members vehicle that was visiting from out if town, "Shawn" was asking a number of questions having us feel very confident that he was very knowledgeable in his job. He recommended the "Falcon" 80,000 mileage warranty although he shared that they have a special right now purchase 3 receive the 4th for free. I asked is it a rebate "oh no its instant I dont like waiting for those rebates in the mail", he says. I also inquired about the cost of an alignment again he gives us information about a coupon you can get on your phone for $49.99! Even better were thinking so I ask if he has any appointments for tomorrow and unfortunately he does not and he shares that 2 of his technicians had already called off for Sunday! I said "Awe, too bad you couldnt call a temp service for 2 technicians just to cover for tomorrow but Thank you!" Shawn then says "well if you bring your car in morning and drop it off I can work it in since we close at 6pm", Perfect! My sister will have new tires that can handle the desert heat and hot asphalt on her way home! We end the conversation with "well be there at 8:30 in the morning!" Well we arrive at the shop before it opens and theres about 9 of outside waiting no problem right.....WRONG!!! Once they open the doors and start checking in the customers with appointments "Junior "shouts out an announcement "IF YOU DONT ALREADY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY WE CANT HELP YOU!" So I respond "excuse me I spoke to Shawn yesterday afternoon and he said even though you have 2 people that called off for today if we drop of the vehicle youll still be able to work us in", Junior once again makes the same announcement. Blah, Blah, Blah! It would if be nice to hear, "Im so sorry for the inconvenience" or "Let me see if one of our other stores can assist you" instead we only received "IF YOU DONT ALREADY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY WE CANT HELP YOU!" Wheres the Customer Service Pep Boys????

I had my wife go there a few times last year and early this year. Service was amazing however the last few times I sent her to get service it seems nobody could figure out what was wrong with the car. The only reason we kept going to that location is because my wife works across the street. When I asked one of the mechanics in the back where the guy that usually works on my wifes car went to I was told he was fired for pointing out that the service manager was stealing from the company. Thats a shame considering that he was the only mechanic that knew what he was doing there. For obvious reasons i was not told where the mechanic went to but I was told its here in riverside somewhere. Until this shop can understand how good business works and get that mechanic back, or at least hire someone that knows what they are doing, my wife and I will not be returning. And I urge anyone looking for a quality mechanic for a very competitive price to try Plaza automotive on Indiana or firestone off of hole. And when i find that mechanic I will let everyone know where to go. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND MORE MONEY FIXING YOUR CAR RIGHT THE SECOND TIME

Called and asked pepboys if they had time to do an alignment. They said, " Sure! Bring it on down and we will take care of it for you, not a problem. Oh, you have a coupon? Awesome make sure to bring it with you so we can give you a discount." After driving all the way down there, and standing in a long line for 20 minutes because they only have one service writer for a store full of people, I give them my key and hear " Oh. Its a BMW? Yeah, sorry. We dont have the tool to do that." Which I know is BS because I am a certified BMW technician, and I know it is possible to do it without the tool. I just dont have access to a machine, so I brought it here. They are just lazy and incompetent. I guess what do you expect, taking a BMW to pep boys, right? There was also another gentleman trying to return something that was extremely frustrated. I felt bad for the poor guy. Do yourselves a favor and take your car to Performance Auto Care on Pierce and Magnolia, Firestone on Magnolia, or Goodyear on Tyler. They actually want your business and wont be rude or waste your time.

Awful. I lost a tire coming to Riverside from out of state. Damage to car. My husband works in insurance and in our state, Pep Boys has good reputation. So, he called to see if they could get me in. My husband talked to Sean, who said they would get me in quickly and I was to ask for him. I arrived I was told Sean was busy, and I would have to leave my car for several days and they couldnt get me in. He wouldnt get Sean for me, nor would he honor what we were told.He wouldnt accept my explanation of what was wrong with the car. I could immediately see I was being beefed up for a large bill. The irony is, if you look on their website, it promises same day service! I went down the street to Allens Tire and received kind, honest, compassionate service with great prices.

Scheduled tires and service on Sunday afternoon for the next day. Went in on Monday at scheduled time, and the staff seemed confused but reassured me everything was fine. I waited for 2 hours about 15 feet away from the service desk to be told that they didnt actually have the tires and to come back 4 hours later when Id be at work. No apology. No offer for a discount. Fortunately for me, Goodyear on Magnolia a block away was able to help and replace the tires withon 45 minutes. Gladly paid more money to not deal with the horrible service at Pep Boys. Go to Goodyear.

Service was polite, knowledgeable, prompt and affordable. $19.99 (with coupon) for an oil change. Simple, straight forward service. No one tried to sell me anything I didnt want (unlike Valvoline Instant Oil Change, where the technicians always remove the air filter, show it to me and suggest that I buy a new one or consider other services based on my cars mileage). Waiting area was comfortable and clean. Theres a variety of restaurants within walking distance if you want to grab a bite to eat while you wait.

The worst service ever I think you get better service with a street mechanic. I changed the water pump a couple months ago. So it got mest up still under the warranty. And took it back but they didnt want except the warranty. So at the end they did work on it but since " I didnt pay for nothing." They did a really bad job in it. And they did a oil change supposed ably and they just added water to it!!! Really disappointed on this place!

Made an online appointment for oil change and a few other things. The online service cant and doesnt take in to consideration everyday life occurrences, so even though it was late and the appointment should have not been accepted they took my truck in anyway. Yes I had to wait awhile but they got the job done and couldnt have been nicer about it. Thanks Shawn. Call first and you wont be disappointed.
