Horrible Customer Service. On our first and last time here, we walked up to the portly 30-something white man, slumped over a chair, buried under his black mange of curly hair, talking to another film hippie, and were never acknowledged. After some time, and with some disdain, he finally looked over us and said, "Is this a question about videos?" Caught off guard, I said, "Ummm ... not particularly." He replied, "Then dont ask me." And continued talking the merits of great movies with his fellow slacker. And it seems he hasnt learned anything from them. Thanks for the help!

Lost Weekend Video is alive and well in the New Mission Theater on 2550 Mission St! With the closure of Le Video, LWV is undisputedly the best movie rental store in San Francisco. With 30k+ titles, if you want it, they have it. Also the staff are awesome!

Nice way to lose a weekend. Knowledgeable staff. Organized by director, Criterion Collection display and other film nerd niceties. Obscure staff selections also on display if youre looking for something off the beaten path.

Quit Netflix and support your local video rental!!!! Jeremy always has fantastic and random recommendations. Their selection of obscure movies foreign films, and art films is beyond compare. I heart Lost Weekend!!

Before Netflix I rented from Lost Weekend many a time and were impressed with their selection. Almost always has enough of the hot new releases so that I would rarely leave without the movie I wanted to see.

Good comedy downstairs. Fun to rent movies here. Do it even if you have netflix or whatever. Support a local business. Plus its a good way to ensure, you know, you actually *watch* the thing.
