I never thought Id find a mechanic that would delight me enough to write a 5 star review, but this place is different than any other auto mechanic Ive ever dealt with. I came in for regular 30K service and spongy brakes, expecting a costly brake job, among other things. After dropping off the car, my phone rang a short while later. I answered, going into my typical defensive mode that Ive grown accustomed to from past experience with auto mechanics, ready to question every single thing "wrong" with the car and the thousands of dollars about to be estimated to fix it. "Your cars fine," said the voice on the other end. He explained that the brakes had plenty of life left and just needed to be bled. The only thing needed was an oil change and new air filter. The honest diagnosis was the most refreshing words Ive ever heard coming through the phone from an auto mechanic. I arrived later to pick up the car, prepared for the typical damage to the wallet. The bill was about 1/3 what I expected, and they did the brakes for free! These guys are awesome. Weve got a new mechanic for as long as these guys are around. Next time I come in, I know I can completely drop my guard and toss them the keys. Theyve earned my trust.

JoJo is the best. He is extremely honest and clear about what your car needs. His prices are extremely competitive (I found him by shopping around for service several years ago). I use to go to two other repair shops in SF (closer to where i lived) before finding JoJo and staying a loyal customer for 7 years now. He is also extremely accomodating about time - if he knows you need it back ASAP he tries to makes sure it happens. If i cant pick up my car for a few days, he lets me leave it at his shop. He also warrantys all the parts. Finally - hes honest. If something isnt in your best interest financially hell tell you and hell give you estimates before he does anything to your car. He also told me when it was time to get rid of my car, even though he would lose my business. His shop is always full which tells you a lot of people trust him, and I know businesses go there to get their car serviced, which means hes got a great reputation. You cant go wrong bringing your car to JoJo.

Great experience at MyMechanic. I had a TCM problem with my Mazda 3s that was difficult to diagnose. My car was having intermittent shifting problems between 4th and 5th gear (Check Engine and AT light firing). The Mazda dealership had run a couple of diagnostics and wanted to replace the Wiring Harness (~$1150) after I had already changed a speed sensor (~$450) based on their initial diagnostic to fix the problem. I brought my car here for a second opinion and Warren and his team took their time and tested out the car thoroughly and determined that it was a faulty TCM. My car is running smoothly like it did before with no problems now. I will definitely be bringing my car back here for some other recommended repairs. Warren and his team at MyMechanic are the best and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for auto repair work.

Warren Ko, owner of My Mechanic, is one of the most honest, caring, fair auto mechanics in San Francisco. He makes you feel like he is treating you the same way he would treat a family member. Warren cares about your car, your safety, and providing you with excellent service at a good price. There are knowledgeable mechanics there that understand many different types of cars. He goes out of his way to take care of your car. Warren will explain and go into detail about what needs to be done to your car if you want that information. I trust My Mechanic and will go back anytime I need an auto mechanic. A+++++++. Thank you Warren for caring, being honest, and GREAT service!

This is a stand up place! I was fortunate to find these guys when my vehicle broke down on the Bay Bridge in September 2017. Last week I had a soft clutch and took my vehicle back to My Mechanic. Warren had been leaving me messages and I hadnt been responding because of an unexpected illness which landed me in the hospital for 3 days. When I finally was able to speak with Warren I couldnt believe what he told me. The slave cylinder was leaking, which was causing the soft pedal, as well as eating away at the clutch. Warren told me they were going to replace them master cylinder under the warranty. Outstanding service! No hassle warranty! Great SF location!

I have been living in the city for just about 6 months now. As a female trying to find a legit mechanic that you can trust and not get ripped off MIGHT just be the most stressful thing ever. Thankfully with online reviews I was able to find just the right place, and have full confidence with MY MECHANIC working on my car. I give these guys 10 stars(above and beyond) for their a+ job. Will recommend these guys to everyone! THANK YOU MR MECHANIC!

I highly recommend My Mechanic, especially as being the sister shop to The Garage, which has been around for over a decade, this is your one stop shop for virtually everything automotive. From tune ups, oil changes, major repair and to even tire and alignment, everything can be done here and most important Great Service! Whats best is they can service every type of car whether it be an older or newer vehicle..A+ all around!!!

Very nice guys, very helpful from the beginning. Ran a bunch of tests and told me what was wrong with my car for free!! (Went to the guy next door who told me hed charge at least half an hours time -- $50 -- just to check it out). They even recommended going to Costco for a battery. Clearly very honest, customer-oriented guys. Will definitely go back and recommend all my friends do the same.

The people at My Mechanics squeezed my car diagnosis in on the Thursday before a long Holiday Weekend, and then when it ended up that "what was wrong" would have cost a very serious amount of dollars to repair (even by SF Bay area pricing standards), they didnt charge me anything... perhaps out of pity, but theyve now won a repeat customer in me for any future repairs I will need.

Danny is the best! the crew over at My mechanic went above and beyond on my car! Its older and had brake problems, there was too much rust on certain parts that the new parts wouldnt fit. The crew stayed late on a friday night getting rid of the rust and sanding down the new parts to fit. They even gave me a rental car for the weekend! The service went above and beyond!

Performed a full car inspection prior to my lease buy-out. My husband brought the car in with our baby and they made sure to get it done quickly. We couldnt find the wheel lock and they happily let us come back for an included tire rotation the next week. No one tried to sell us anything, just did a great job and then some. Excellent!

These people are great. They keep my old Lexus running like a top, for way less than the dealer was charging. Plus they have free wifi in the waiting room -- not that Ive ever spent much time there. I have been going there for a couple of years and would not want to take my car anywhere else.
