Gave them a chance to fix my Audi, and walked out of there with a charge of $300.00 for a battery and my car still not working. I spoke to Mike on the phone about getting the battery changed out so they can run a diagnostic. Before he I told him yes, I told him the battery still has a warranty on it. So he changes the battery and turns in the one under warranty in for the $11.00 core price. I asked him for the battery back and he says, "well you didnt say you wanted it". I guess me saying there is a warranty on it still wasnt good enough. So Mike basically got me for a $300.00 oem battery for my Audi and threw away my warranty for my battery that was worth $220.00. Thanks Mike now I will tow it to a real shop (AutoTechies) for $150.00 and have them fix it.

Feel like getting ripped off? Come here!!! How do you know youre getting ripped off if you never get a second opinion? Island Auto Repair took advantage of me. After my car was towed to their company, they told me that I either 1. Pay a $100 diagnostic fee to diagnose what was wrong with my 99 Nissan, or 2. I pay $100/day to keep my car there. After I chose option #1, they told me that daDAAA! I needed a BRAND NEW ENGINE to make my car run again! Thankfully, a friend of a friend had my car towed to his car dealership FORMULA ONE MOTORS in Hayward, CA and told me that it was a teeeny tiny fuse box that needed to be replaced for $20 (part and service). DONT COME HERE. THEYRE RIPPING YOU OFF. TRUST ME. Delete review

While vacationing in O.C. last summer, we had difficulty shifting (stick shift). Very intermittent, i.e., most of the time there was absolutely no problem, but on the occasions when shifting was difficult it was serious.) Island kept the car overnight to reproduce the times we had problems. But no problem happened. They looked at everything they could see without tearing the car apart. (This involved removing and reinstalling the battery, among other things.) They test drove it. They were friendly and informing throughout. I was astonished that they only charged $60. They sure left me delighted by their service! Problem hasnt recurred.

Single star also waste for this service they are really bad.... My car breakdown so i need a towing service ,i report to the my insurence company they give this service no. They said wait for 75 min , aftr 75 min they didnt answer my call , so again i call to gaico insurence they said that wait fir 45 min ... Aftr 55 min i didnt get any response ....so really bad bad bad bad bad bad service....

Worse place to get your vehicle fix. Theyll try to charge you more and always find reasons to get more money from your pocket. Try a better place. Wont recommend this place to anyone. Especially, if their towing people ask you to visit here, please ignore them. Thats how they trap you and youll have no other option left. I got trap by their people already. So, stay away.

excellent customer service, had taken my vw bug to the dealership and it stopped running less than 24 hours after I picked it up...island automotive towed my car to their shop and had it back on the road in less than 24 hours..running like a champ. its been 3 months, still running perfect..GREAT SHOP..GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.....THANKS :-) :-) :-) :-)

My cars fuel pump died stranding me in the dark and rain. As soon Tow Technician Jaime arrived I knew I was safe. Jaime and Island Tow handled my tow with professionalism and courtesy. My heat felt thanks!
