I had my bridal hair and make up with Brianna. The consultation went well, but when I came on the day of the wedding she was 20 minutes late...Not good. The hair and make up ended up taking a little longer than it had on consultation day. This was weird because we had tried 3 or 4 different hairstyles that day plus make up. Both my hair and make up ended up different than the consultation even though she said she would taken notes AND I brought a picture. I liked the make up better this time, so that was fine. But my hair looked a lot different. What was the point of a consultation that was the same price as the day of and wasnt consistent? I let this go since I was already an hour late for photos. But I recently got the wedding photos and you can see bobby pins in my hair (Not ok for wedding day, especially photos) and the right side of my hair started to fall out after the ceremony. All in all the consultation left me feeling confident, but the actual day of appointment was a big disappointment. Your wedding day is too important to risk someone being late and not giving you what you asked for. Either make your appointment way early in the day or go somewhere else.

I had previously won a hundred dollar gift card at a Bridal Event, and I was in SLO for the weekend to find a dress. Perfect opportunity to use the card to buy things at their store! We walked in and we were greeted, the salon is really nice. I picked out 6 things to buy with my gift card and my card. My sister saw a sign that said Free gift for birthdays and first time in the store, she innocently asked if that applied to us, just being curious. The girl checking us out didnt know (she was very sweet) and she went to ask a guy with brown hair who was working on someone. He was very rude, I mean rolling his eyes rude and scoffing saying that its for people getting services done. She walked back and the whole time he was staring at us like we were idiots. I wanted to cry, who works with people on a daily basis and doesnt know how to respond right to others. I got checked out, and she took my number in case I ever came back and I let her know I would never return. That kind of ugliness really hit me hard when I left. Hope no one ever books with him, and I wish I had a name!!

I will only trust Jose with my hair. I have been going to Bladeunner for around ten years now and I would not think of going anywhere else. Not only that but my mother goes to Jose, my sister goes to Jose. He did my hair for my wedding, he did my sisters hair for her wedding. He is amazing. Careful about other reviews, especially in this town, it could be just other hair salons who are jealous. They can get quite catty around here... Bladerunner recently won a hairsylist competition and beat out all the local salons! Trust me when I say, you really are in good hands with Jose!

I have been going to Jasmine for a few years now. She cuts, colors and styles my hair EXACTLY how I want it done. My hair is long, thick and wavy, so hair cuts are not something I generally look forward to. Except with Jasmine :) She knows just how to cut my hair, what colors will look the best and then when I leave with my hair all styled, I feel like a million bucks! When I ask Jasmine to take off...say 1". She starts off with 1/2" and asks me how I like it. hahah ladies with long hair know what I mean...lol JASMINE IS THE SHIZZ! GO SEE HER ALWAYS AND FOREVER!

never ever get a consultation for hair cut or even high light they will torture you emotionally till you become vulnerable to their idea &control you . there is many hair styler better quality and more reasonable in downtown san luis obispo/monterey st. financially and psychologically do not become a victime>if you need more detail about the hair styler consultant i will respond immediatly for details more prove with two witness beeing there at that moment

I have tried so many hairdressers here in SLO and was always disappointed that they didnt understand what I wanted. Then I went to Alan Scott. He is a "hair sculptor" and a genius. I have never been so happy with my hair and received so many compliments. He fixed my flat color and boring highlights and now I have natural looking color and highlights that look Iike I spent a week at the beach and not an hour with foils on my head.

First timer at blade runner salon after going to faces ala mode and two hair screw ups from there people be warned DO NOT go to faces way over priced terrible service rude stylists I found Thai at blade runner salon and what a find! He was fantastic very professional reasonable prices I was so happy with my hair I nearly cried finally after all this time a great one hes the best thanks Thai I will definitely be back!

I had the worst Brazilian wax of my life at this salon. The girl was new and she used cold wax which she could not get off of me and I had to lie there for 20 minutes while she picked at my skin. It was a terrible experience and a week later I broke out with painful ingrown hairs. I have had Brazilian waxes many times and never have I gotten ingrown hairs or experienced as much pain as I did at Blade Runner.

Ive been here for two services and have walked away disappointed with both. Both times my aesthetician and hairdresser were late. I paid $75 for a leg & bikini wax, and within 10 days I have noticeable stubble. My $55 haircut is lovely... but unfinished. My hairdresser did not touch up my neck and I was left with long strands far below my neck that I had to cut myself. Im never going back.

I saw Jen two days before my wedding for a "bridal" waxing session. I was a little nervous as I had never been professionally waxed before. Not only was Jen super-nice, she was also extremely professional and did an awesome job! She made me feel comfortable and at ease, despite the fact that I was getting a leg, underarm and bikini wax. I would recommend the Blade Runner and Jen to anyone!

Been coming for years and love this place. They are a class-act, great staff and every single person takes pride in what they do. They also do alot in the community with such as donating their services to the models at the womens shelter fashion show. Great people, great for the community and great haircuts. Show them some love!

I spent $50 here to get my hair done for a Christmas party, and they tried out a new hair iron. My hair had completely fallen flat during the ten minute drive to the party. However, the staff is nice, and the hair looked good right after he did it.

I LOVE BLADERUNNER, THE FRONT DESK PEOPLE ARE WARM AND FRIENDLY, ALWAYS A SMILING WELCOME. AND TODD IS THE BEST! HE CUTS MY HAIR BEAUTIFULLY, AND DOES GREAT COLOR. CANNOT SAY ANYTHING BUT THE BEST ABOUT EVERYONE THERE.
