Terrible experience with Michael at the counter. Went on a treadmill, the guy next to me decided to play loud music not via a headset but out loud for all to hear. I asked the other guest if he might put a headset on, he ignored me five times. I went to get a manager and asked Michael who worked at the desk. He was not behind the desk, but was socializing with two club guys. No biggie until when I told him the situation, he said he would ask the guy to stop playing music loudly in the gym. So I started going up the stairs, and noticed Micheal the 24 hour fitness employee went back to laughing loudly with his gym friends, having a great time for many minutes. After ten minutes I just walked away. Went upstairs lifting near where Michael would enter, it took him 25 minutes to approach the staircase. I guess Michael just did not care, what do you think? I told him do not worry about my situation as I am canceling my membership. Interesting way to treat guests.

I regret joining this gym almost immediately after I joined. The sales people are pushy and they really do try hard to get you into a pricing plan that is terrible. Im almost positive the gym bribes someone to stay on the good side of the board of health. The floors are almost perpetually dirty, the weights are never properly placed and mostly just floating about the gym somewhere and the pool water is some bizarre mix between green and brown that just cries communicable disease. To make matters worse the staff is completely inattentive. Yes its less than half the price of Equinox right next door, but Equinox just might be worth the money if you arent willing to drive to Golds.

I find myself coming here more often now that I work close to this location. Like any 24 in the city and down the peninsula, these gyms arent the best, but I guess they get the job done if all you want is to do your own thing and go home. Of the times that Ive gone, the crowds pretty manageable, and parking isnt too absurd. I usually get there shortly after 5, and Ive been able to find parking fairly easily. Theres also street parking if the lot is full. I dunno; maybe Im just lucky. As far as cleanliness goes, this is a million times better than the Daly City 24 so I cant say I have a lot of complaints. Anything feels like the Ritz Carlton after that.

WAS ON MY INTO THE GYM WITH MY DAUGHTER AT 24 HOUR FITNESS WHEN I WAS RUDELY TOLD MY DAUGHTER CANT GO ON THE FLOOR , WHEN I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THAT GYM FOR YEARS AND BRINGING MY DAUGHTER, SHE DOESNT GET ON THE MACHINES OR ANYTHING. THEN BEING TOLD THAT SHE DOESNT WANT TO LOSE HER JOB OVER ME ??? LIKE WTF WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ME INFORMING YOU THAT I HAVE BEEN BRINGING MY DAUGHTER AND THIS WAS NEVE AN ISSUE BEFORE! I REFUSE TO PAY FOR $5 FOR A KIDS CLUB EVERY TIME I NEED TO GO TO A GYM. NEEDLESS TO SAY 24 HOUR FITNESS NEEDS TO GET TOGETHER AND AT LEAST TRAIN THERE EMPLOYEES . NOT ONLY AM I PEEVED BUT MY DAUGHTERS FEELINGS ARE HURT.

This facility has a great variety of equipment and a full staff. It does smell funky like others note, but its a gym...I dont think its supposed to smell like flowers. It isnt always clean and there arent spray bottles or other methods easily available to wipe down equipment after use--so no one does. My biggest issue with this gym is how incredibly crowded it gets during peak time (January - April (while those new years resolutions are still in affect) and from 5 pm to about 9 pm). I have waited 20+ minutes to use cardio equipment. I also belong to Planet Granite in Belmont, which has less equipment but is cleaner and much much less crowded.

Not enough power racks to account for the hordes of people here, so its difficult to get a quick lift in unless you come in on weekend evenings. Would be nice to have some Olympic plates as well for deadlifting. Staff has begun to replace the standard plates, but most of them are still in pretty bad shape. Paper towel dispensers are regularly out of paper, and hand towels are not provided. This place gets the job done but it is not glamorous. One big plus - the cleaning staff does a great job keeping the place clean, especially given the popularity of this gym.

A good place to use the exercise bikes or use weight machines. I really dont care if the equipment is not the latest stuff as long as it works and 99% of the equipment does. You can get a good workout there. The locker room is not dirty. The sauna and steam rooms get hot. Showers, lockers. I have only one complaint: The music is often too loud. A lot of people wear ear buds and have to turn the sound way up to overwhelm the dance/pop stuff coming over the wall speakers.

Seems that a lot of people are mixing this location up with the "Super Sport" location south at El Camino and highway 92. This "Sport" location is very compact, split between two floors, but also features a small lap pool and sauna. Because of its size, its generally very crowded, especially from about 4pm to 8pm (expect to wait for most machines and treadmills). The crowd isnt too bad, overall. Convenient location, but frustratingly crowded (even after 9pm, on occasion!)

My father loves it! Hes retired & a silversneaker member. He is there daily, during day. He says equipment is clean & always available. Does not know about early am (e.g., 5 am) or in evenings. Staff, particularly Marc, are extremely & genuinely friendly & helpful. They let him go about his business, which is mainly using equipment, yet are always available & helpful if he has a question. Were grateful for this neighborhood gem.

The entrance is nice, and thats about all that is nice with this place. The equipment is old and outdated. The rubber plates of all weights have chunks of rubber missing. The grips on bars, dumb bells, and various machines no longer have a tactful grip and are slimey and smooth at best. Workout stations, benches, and treadmill equipment are all cramped together upstairs. This location needs an enema.

Its open all the time, which is good because if youre at all particular about what equipment you use to work out youll probably have to come at odd times to get access to it. This place is popular, and has only cardio equipment in ample supply. They got rid of their squat rack and the staff seem to think a Smith machine is a reasonable substitute. Bleh.

After multiple charges that were unexplained while I was off to Europe, I experienced mediocre assistance and ended up closing out my account. This location is generally unhelpful and everyone provides you with completely opposite information. I would suggest transferring clubs to anyone wanting to workout here.

Whoever says this is 1 star is crazy. Been going to the same 24 since high school. Sure its busy at times but Ive been going at 8pm or later and I feel as though i have the gym to myself. Great variety of equipment. Very clean for the most part. However, If people could rerack after themselves thatd be great.
