I reported this company to the Better Business Bureau. At the end of our interactions with this company my husband and I asked ourselves, "Did we just get conned by this company?" Read below and decide for yourself. 1. THE ESTIMATE. After receiving a written quote, the regional sales manager suggested we meet again before the actual move to determine a final cost. He told us if we did some or all of the packing the price would go down. We packed everything but our breakables, a significant amount of boxes, and had no new items in the house. The regional sales manager made an appointment with us 36 hours before the move. Instead of a reduction in price, our new quote was now $1000 more than the original. As an act of "generosity" he reluctantly agreed to reduce that by $500. When I asked what would have happened if the movers had arrived and his estimate was $1000 short, he said the company would not move the goods until I paid. With only 36 hours before we were scheduled to move out of the state we would have incurred a much higher cost if we delayed. The regional sales manager was aware of this fact. Our backs were against the wall, we, incurred the extra cost. 2. THE MOVE. The regional sales manager indicated that we would need a storage space of a particular size to fit our goods. Yet, when the movers were 3/4 of the way through the loading into the new storage space, it became clear that we needed a larger space. We incurred another $260 expense moving items out of the original space into a larger space, and a higher monthly rate. I asked international relocation manager to refund me the added labor expense we incurred from their mistake on the move-in day. The international relocation manager told me not once but twice that she would talk to regional sales manager about the issue. Neither of them ever brought up the issue again. The driver that arrived with our goods at the storage facility indicated to us that an item was broken due to the packers negligence in leaving the item assembled, rather than disassembling the item as required. The packer did not speak any English begging the question does King Relocation Services illegally hire undocumented workers? 3. THE INSURANCE. We were assured in writing and verbally that any breakage would be paid at full replacement value. The company has refused to pay us the replacement value of $600 despite a lengthy process of attempting to satisfy the company. Our first claims company, P & M Solutions LLC, started the process, and then announced that our claims person was retiring. She turned our claim over to Trilogy Claim Services. Trilogy had an entirely different set of demands for us to meet in order to get reimbursed. After several weeks with Trilogy, they decided to turn our claim over to Southwest Resources. Southwest then had yet more and different demands for us to meet before we would be reimbursed, including their picking up the broken parts and a picture of the original item before it was broken. When, many weeks later we heard nothing from anyone, we e-mailed Southwest and were told to contact to our original, theoretically retired, claims person at P & M Solutions. Instead of paying us the $600 replacement value P & M Solutions decided they would only pay $200, and that a picture was not sufficient. We provided examples of items that were comparable. This did not satisfy the company. They are refusing steadfastly to pay us the additional $400 they owe. We suggest anyone thinking of doing business with King Relocation Services of Santa Fe Springs, aka King Company of Santa Fe Springs, aka King Van & Storage in Santa Fe Springs, all at address 13515 Larwin Circle Santa Fe Springs California 90610 or at 14001 Rosecrans La Mirada, California 90638 think long and hard about the problems we have had. I moved my car and house from California to Indiana in July via King Relocation Service (United Van Line). But this is the most horrible experience in my life. 1. My car was scheduled to be picked up on either 7/24 or 7/25. I kept waiting and called Mitch on Friday (7/21). He was on vacation and no one follow up my service till I called... The car was delivered to Chicago and I sent an e-mail to the office on 7/30 for help. NO response and I have to keep calling Chicago until they delivered car to Indiana four days later. I guess you are on your own after you paid... 2. Moving house stuff was another nightmare. We were told that driver will pick up items at 10am on 7/25. We kept waiting and driver showed up six hours later (4pm). We were told by the driver that the items will be delivered on 8/2, then 8/4 and then 8/7 as the due date shown on the contract. Guess what! Items did not show up and we received messages saying they can NOT locate the driver and the delivering schedule is not confirmed... Finally, our items showed up on 8/10 and several wardrobes were cut and places some boxes inside. Obviously, the driver wanted to have more space for other pick-up and decide to open our items. This is the worst and most ridiculous moving service. Tiffany was the one communicated with us almost every day while we are waiting for items. One star is for her only. Without her, King Relocation Service (or United Van Line) does not deserve anything since they cant control their drivers. Ps. We kept all the e-mails and communications records between we and King Relocation Service as the evidences. What I stated here are all facts...

King Relocation Services helped co-ordinate our move from California to Delaware and we couldnt have been more pleased with the service. Price was excellent, the packing, loading and unloading crews were professional, friendly, extremely hard workers and very careful with our possessions. The estimate was thorough and easy to understand. Constant contact with King Relocation Services was appreciated and they responded to any questions and concerns we had. The loading and delivery times were spot on and we were always kept advised of the progress of our shipment, even though it was across the entire country. We was so worried about all the details and King Relocation Services reassured us that all would be done to our complete satisfaction. It was! My husband and I would certainly recommend King Relocation Services and am very happy we chose them.
