If you want to call this business for a lockout, I would actually recommend calling other locksmiths in the area first and recommend against this business. If you MUST use this business, PRESS THEM for a firm, absolute price and DO NOT let them send someone over before you have this. Otherwise, you might end up with a $189 bill when they arrive at your door, or a $50 cancellation fee when you realize they are overcharging. If the work performed was all I was reviewing on, this review would easily be 5 stars. The tech was super quick and knew what he was doing. However, how I was treated over the phone before and after the tech arrived, and the misinformation given to me is what is leading to this low review. I called in the morning because I had gotten locked out (my fault, and not what I am arguing or writing this review about). I called the office and Marie took the call. When I let her know I was locked out, right away she asked what my address was and wanted to send over a tech BEFORE I even had a chance to ask about price. Ive called OTHER locksmiths in the past and theyve always told me exactly what price I was to expect before even sending someone over. I stopped her and asked what the price was and she quoted me for $45 labor + $15, then asked again right away what my address was. I was taken aback by the desire to skip over the payment conversation, but with what seemed to be a reasonable price, I gave my information. When the tech showed up, he let me know that the price would be $189 for labor, which was absolutely ridiculous. I told him what I was quoted at, and eventually we got it back down to the ORIGINAL amount of $60. This price conversation actually took way longer than the time to open my lock, which was about 30 seconds. At this point I was pretty satisfied with the final price (which was what I was SUPPOSED to have been charged to begin with) and the service. I was in and out of my house and on my way to work. I did not even think about writing a negative review and was ready to move on with my life. Then I was called back by Marie. The intention seemed nice in that she wanted to "check in" on me, and wanted feedback on the whole thing. I told her that the guy was super quick, but that the price was changed on me from $45 to $189, and that going forward it would be nice to let customers know exactly what the pricing is supposed to be upfront so that there are no surprises at the door. This is what her response was: "Labor starts at $45. If you wanted to discuss further it was your responsibility to do so in the beginning. Thank you and have a good day." *hangs up phone* I could not believe it. I was asked for feedback, which I thought wouldve been helpful for a business to know in order to improve their services. Instead, I was told I was to blame for her not wanting to discuss pricing, even though I clearly had to STOP her from sending someone over without discussing the price. This negative review could have been a non-review, or even a positive review had I been treated with courtesy and respect.

Worked with a locksmith of theirs about a month ago, great service besides him being an extra 45 minutes later than he said. He did a nice job and was very helpful. I called recently to get another copy of the receipt, since my apartment complex who is refunding me lost the original receipt. When I called, I asked the woman if I was calling the correct company and if the man who helped me worked there. (His name was all I could remember since that was the name on the check I wrote out.) I wanted to explain the rest about how I needed another copy of the receipt, but she cut me off, yelling at me, accusing me of trying to get personal information from them and all this other nonsense. She was extremely rude and mean. Overall good locksmith, but be careful when you call the company. I in no way was trying to get yelled at today for no reason at all.

Called these people at 10:30am. Said they would have someone here in 20-30mins. Waited for 20 mins and called the girl back and she said she had to call another tech. Tech called and said he would arrive in 20 mins. 1 hour later I called to get an ETA, he said he was in traffic and is 18 mins away. 45 mins later we called again. He said he has another tech a few minutes away because he was stuck in traffic (12:37am?)...its 12:57am!!! No tech. And nobody is picking up the phone. These guys suck!

Dont call this place unless you want to argue with the locksmith about the quote the girl gives you when you first call.... She told me its $39.99 for them to open the door to my apartment and a $15 service fee. The locksmith (who pulled up in a Porsche) tried to charge me $270 and told me the girl gave me the wrong quote.... After arguing with the guy for 20 mins he finally gave in and did it for the price I was quoted. It took him literally 7 seconds to open my door. what a JOKE!

Fantastic customer service! I was looking for a locksmith in Santa Monica and a gentleman answered the phone and arrived within an hour. He was very polite and knowledgeable.They helped me re-key my new house and made all the locks re-keyed to one key. They were courteous and kind. I highly recommend Locksmith Santa Monica if you are in the Santa Monica area.

Best locksmith ever. Picked up right away on Christmas day and was there in 20 minutes. Only $15 for coming out to assess situation because another locksmith said he cant open our door. This guy came out and opened door in 1 minute and charged very reasonable rate, especially for holidays.

Girl on the phone quotes $55 for a simple knob lockout, the locksmith shows up, sizes up my income by my car and neighborhood (and literally asks what I pay for rent), then tells me it will be $280. Be ready to stand your ground on the original quote and they will honor it.

The worse service. They give you a very low rate about $49 over the phone, but then the technician tells you that its a complicated case and you have to pay $250 (cash only). Average rate for that work is $100-120. Dont work with them. Its a scam.
