I used to go here ALL the time when I lived in the South Bay. Growing up in So Cal, I lived off of El Pollo Loco (or EPL as I affectionately call it.) The Sunnyvale Location was recently revamped inside. Its beautiful. Its not reminiscent of its former 80s self. Its modern and lovely. I usually stick with the grilled chicken (white meat please!), corn tortillas, beans and flame-grilled corn. Add a splash of avocado salsa to your food and youre good to go! The $5 pollo bowl is good too if youre wanting more carbs and less chicken. Ive even ventured to the Oakland and various other Bay Area locations when I need a fix. Im a certified EPL lover. In terms of value, its one of the best and healthiest you can get for fast food or "fast casual" food.

I came with my friend to have something for lunch. I used coupon chicken salads, and it was supposed to be 2 same items for 5$ but manager ,who is Hispanic lady, took the coupon, and Instead of 2 for 5$ she gave us one for 7.29, if you ask me why I really dont know. We paid for another same order without any coupon and turned out to be 6.99$ this time. I dont mind about that but it was first time i had this kind of experience and wanted to share. I never keep receipts but this time ill keep them to upload later if manager answers that i am wrong.

Finally tried this place out. Super dissapointed. First they got the order wrong, paid for shrimp they gave me chicken. Tried the chicken. Everything was luke warm, wet and soggy. Flavor was ok. Quality just not there at all. Surprisingly they stay open. Place is dirty. Not up to par. Go to taco bell or a taqueria...trust...

my favorite place for a quick chicken taco. you can get a half chicken tortilla and 2 sides plus trimmings for less than most Mexican places. the chicken is not far and roasted on the pit. good prices you can eat for two below $20

The service was fast. The food was good. The taco salad had lots of chicken. The chicken tacos all carbon had regular size tortillas with lots of chicken. Overall the food was really good hot yummy!..

The chicken is really good. I like the flame broiled taste. My complaint about this location is that they did not give me gravy with the poatatoes. I did not find out until I got home.
