Muscle Beach rocks with energy. I just finished telling my fitness friends into body building who are from out of town to fly into LAX instead of Las Vegas where I live so that I can take them to Muscle Beach south of the Santa Monica Pier so that they can experience the worldwide vibe of enthusiasm along Venice Beach with the fine restaurants, drum circles, music, gift shops, coffee houses, cafes, basketball and swimming along the beach. Nothing is better for tourists to explore than the California feel at Venices outdoor gym at Muscle Beach, especially before the experiences at the Las Vegas Strip. Las Vegas also has a huge fitness population with security guards, showgirls, dancers, and attractive people into their bodies, but our weight rooms arent outdoors by the ocean. Still we work out 24/7/365 days of the year in our health clubs, but I drive to Muscle Beach once every two weeks to remember why it is important to look good, exercise, and lift weights. Everybody looks like a fashion model at Muscle Beach.

Que dire de Muscle Beach, bah pour résumer cest simple, on vous vend du rêve dans les films, comme quoi cest tout beau , et bien en faite la triste réalité cest Muscle Beach est en réalité très vétuste, du matériel , tout dégrader par la rouille vue que ca dort dehors, et une rue remplis de sans abris sur facilement 1.5 Miles . Le rêve américain en prend un gros coup dans la tronche ...

Die Muskelmenschen sind hier rar geworden. Dafür kann man hier gratis Skaten, Paddel-Tennis spielen, "Handball" (ist wie Squash ohne Schläger in einer Betonbox), Basketball. Die Bälle kann man sich hier gratis ausleihen, die Paddels kosten 5$ für den ganzen Tag.

Un sitio estupendo para pasar el día y entrenar donde lo han hecho los más grandes del culturismo mundial y donde se han grabado varias películas. Una experiencia única! Recomiendo comer en "Santa-Monica Pier" en el restaurante italiano para recuperar fuerzas ;).

Ich gebe ungern so wenig Sterne, aber es ist laut, dreckig und stinkt. Nur gut das die Touristen nur ein Mal kommen. So ein langer Sandstrand und so unsauber. Habe auch Polizei und Ordnungshüter vermisst, denn es war sehr voll.

$10 for a day pass to lift in a historical area on the beach is very reasonable. Most other gyms will charge $10-20 anyway. Might as well be outside and enjoy the weather. The equipment is actually pretty decent and surpassed my expectations. Squat rack, platform, benches, various old school machines, and cable attachment are all available. A sheltered section houses more equipment and dumbbells. If you are into bodybuilding, fitness, etc. it is worth a visit.

People watching is a must a Muscle Beach! If youre not a hardcore bodybuilder of workout efficiendo then people watching is about as much as you will get out of this infamous section of Venices boardwalk. But seriously isnt that enough? Watching men workout and peacock on the beach under the beautiful Los Angeles sun sounds like a great way to spend a lazy Sunday.

Es gibt immer weniger Menschen die hier tatsächlich trainieren. Nur einzelne Bodybuilder kann man hier noch sehen. Lohnt sich aber dennoch.

I was hoping to see some really jacked bodybuilders here but it ended up just being some regular Joes. Muscle Beach disappointed me slightly but it was still cool to see a gym on a beach. Ill have to get a pump in as its only $10 to use for the day. Thats way cheaper than almost any gyms daily fee.

Still famous part of Venice with the outdoor weights and folks who want to exercise outside or in front of a bunch of people. The gym is somewhat run down and weathered from the sun exposure, can be a small spectacle but not worth going out of your way to visit.

The Mecca of body building. Its awesome to go an know Arnold once graced that area with his presence. Now its a bunch of dudes with their shirts off lifting. Old school gym rusted and bars. Day pass for the gym is $10. Worth stopping for people watching.

Definitely a "must" visit during your time in L.A. Venice has a ton of culture and character! Lots of very talented street performers who arent actually pushy for tips (though you should give them something!) and tons of cool art.

Great place to visit and enjoy the entertainment, food, and weirdos walking around. Best time to visit is in the summer. Highly recommend playing in a pickup basketball game. Dont forget to exercise at the park. Safe visits.

You have to pay 10$ for a one day pass. If you ask, you may take some pictures of you during training. The equipment is very old and used, but it is a "historic" place. Unfortunately no people were there when I visited it.
