I am sorry but I have to share a negative service I experienced today at the shop. I called yesterday and set an appointment for my father in law and myself, The lady on the phone set us up from 4:00pm today With Carlos the Barber for me and anyone for my Father in law. We came in at 4:00and check in. Carina acknowledge our appointment and offered refreshments, she let us know they are both finishing the person in there seats and I said okay no problem. the shop was busy and a group of gentlemen were all getting a haircut. there was a free barber that came and finally took my father in law and I was waiting for Carlos to finish. There was a person in this big group insisted on get the next cut with Carlos while I was sitting next to him knowing I am waiting for him and have an appointment in which was clear this person was a walk in. As soon as Carlos finished his current customer this customer jumps into his seat. I came up to the counter and asked whats going on and I had an appointment at 4. at this time Carina was cutting someones hair and another lady barber and Carlos started questioning my appointment and then when they saw it Carlos apologies and told me that person is with a group and I would need to wait. That is when i acknowledge what the point is to setup an appointment when you will take a group walk in over a person setting up the appointment. He kept differing and offered 50% off on the haircut. I told him if that was they way you want to handle the service your providing then i have no choice.He then cut this person hair and I waiting 50 minutes until I finally got my haircut. At this point I was upset and remain clam and quiet as he cut my hair, he cut my hair and did a good job. I was going to let it go and not complain about the situation but then he ask me to pay 18 dollars when he said it would be 50% off. I told him you said half off. he then thought for a moment and agreed to the funds. He took my payment and then he started to tell me excuses and if I want a hair cut with him to call a day or 2 before or have someone else cut it for you. I then couldnt keep quiet and told him as I told him earlier that I called yesterday and made the appointment. He then was telling about it being in there appointment wrong and you were misspelled and was at 4:30 and that I made a reservation and not an appointment and kept pushing and pushing the issue.telling this group is AA group and there not my group and he kept pushing and pushing. Instead of continuing to argue with him I told him I cant trust calling and setting up an appointment if you don;t honor it and take a walk in over me because he was with a group. I then as for the owners names and walked out. This was my second time here, he and the chop shop impressed me the first time I came in which is the reason I came in today but i had the worse Haircut experience in a while. Sorry for my long story but I had to share it at this moment.

As someone new to the area I have been looking for a go-to barber. After reading many positive reviews I gave this place a shot. My overall experience was simply OK. The staff was relatively friendly, however, I left feeling like my hairdresser (one of the woman staff members) didnt listen to what I wanted after explaining to her in great detail what kind of cut I wanted. I am not a terribly picky person when it comes to having my haircut, however, I left feeling like my $25 could have been spent elsewhere for a better cut. I have read great reviews about getting a razor cut here, but can only speak to the results of my scissor cut. Overall a very average experience and most likely will continue my search for a regular go-to place.

I love the Chop Shop. My 6 year old son had long hair and was very hesitant about getting it cut. Jonah was his "barber" and he LOVED HER! She took such good care of him, calming his nerves by distracting him with all the music memorabilia. This is the only shop where he wants to go from now on. They also do the old fashioned straight razor shaves. My husband gets his face and head done at the same time. WOW, how nostalgic! Very cool barber shop.

Coolest barber shop- EVER! Love, love, love, the vibe, people and great cuts. I was pretty bummed when they moved- but, was stoked by the new place. Its now next to my favorite breakfast place Bobbys Coffee Shop and also my favorite weed shop! Brett is back from H.B. and Karens still there- theres a new hottie Allie. The place still rocks.

Coolest barber shop Ive ever been too! Their new location is near the Topanga & Ventura Blvd. intersection. Ask for Alex, that guy is legit! He can even bust out an old school shave with the hot towel & strait razor! Hes only there an Tuesdays & Sundays though. Anyway, this is hands down the best Barber shop in town. Be sure to check it out!

Carlos has been cutting my kids hair for some time. dude knows his stuff and everyone is very nice. i had one issue one time with a new hire whom no longer works there and the owner was very cool about making it right. just over all a good business. cool people.

Great service. As a foreigner, I had never got a good haircut here in the states because my most barbers do not got a chance to deal with different kinds of hair. But here is different they are professionals. Frankie is the best.

Good place to go and get a fresh line up. The wait does get long but with all good things there is a wait I guess. The staff is very professional and it looks like all the barbers know what they are doing
