I bought a 100+ year old house that needed a lot of electrical work. I contacted JM Electric and Nate contacted me back right away. We set a time for him to come and review the scope of work. He really took his time to explain the issues with the house and recommended to do a complete rewire. It was more than I was hoping to do but totally the right call. Some of the wires were so bad they would just break in half as light fixtures we disconnected. I never felt like they were trying to upsell me. In fact they really did look for ways to do repairs and save me money but in the end, the total rewire was the right call. Im confident they did the job right and safely. I now have outlets everywhere I need them and they passed all their inspection on the first try. They completed it for a very fair price. I had some competing bids and the JM job made the other bids look insulting. Josh did the work and was very knowledgeable and extremely communicative. He always showed up when he said he would and was respectful of the house. He was willing to work with my schedule as I fixed other aspects of the house. I wouldnt hesitate to call them again for future projects. 5 stars all the way.

My Tenant called them because a bedroom was receiving no power and all the smoke alarms in the house were going off (alarms were blaring). They came to inspect and wrote up a quote for $490 to inspect the attics wiring plus an additional $773 to replace the smoke detectors. He cited "because the smoke detectors can fail after 10 years or so, they should be replaced." Tenant called me to help address the issue. I came and immediately checked the circuit breakers and found a tripped circuit. I reset it and all is well. Even ran tests on the detectors and they still work as well as they did when I had the system installed back in 2006. I can understand a quote to check the wiring, I can even forgive the obvious upsell on the smoke detectors, but I think that the technician was seriously remiss to ignore a simple tripped circuit breaker. Its not like I have a lock on the breaker panel or anything. Seriously, all I had to do was flip a switch and I saved $1263.

Wow...extremely rude office staff. Wont be using this company anymore. I used this company several times in the past and loved the technician that was sent out. When I called to make an appointment with the same tech (whose name is listed all over testimonials on their website) the office staff was EXTREMELY rude, hung up on me for asking if that tech available. Called back to explain we still needed and electrician and didnt need the attitude just because we didnt know this tech no longer worked with them. Lady doubled up on the rudeness and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Guess they dont want our business - and you should not use them if our previous tech left on bad terms. He was awesome, its a shame everyone else in this company is a jerk.

I called on a Monday to see if they had any availability that week because I was putting my house on the market the following week. I was told that they could come that Friday morning. On Friday morning I got a call from them saying they could no longer make it that day. I responded by saying I wasnt aware that it was a question of whether they could make it or not because I had an appointment. The response was that this was a "courtesy call" stating they were not coming. I was left scrambling while also balancing everything else that goes on the week before putting a house for sale. To be fair, I got a call later that day saying they might be able to fit me in the following week but in my situation, that was not helpful.

Review by Rachel P. in Denver, CO Home Advisor Project: Install Electrical Switches, Outlets, and Fixtures Highly knowledgeable - Jim came in and explained everything while he was giving us a quote. We received three quotes from electricians who were fantastic and reasonably priced, but we chose Jim because he gave us a bit of an education. He was very fast too! We needed a new panel, grounding wire, GFCI outlets, outlet in the garage, and our basement wiring to be sanitized (it was a mess with wires everywhere and outlets hanging off the walls). He did it in two days. Will be hiring them again to install three-pronged outlets throughout the house.

I have had the pleasure of using JM Electric for the past 15+ years. They are very pleasant, reliable and friendly to work with. They installed by cam lights in my basement when I was remodeling and have also done some minor electrical work with them thru out the years. They are the first ones I call when I have electrical issues. Their rates are priced fairly. JM takes the time to answer my questions and concerns without making me feel like I dont know what I am doing. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrical contractor or electrical services.

I scheduled an appointment with them in advance. They gave my a 1.5 hour window. 15 min after the window they called to tell me they would be there with in the next hour. When I told the technician, over the phone, that I had an appoint for 730-9. He said his paperwork said 730-10 and he would try and make it by 10 or a little later because he had been busy. I have spent my whole morning waiting. Not sure how to proceed.

Extremely professional service. Quality of work was well done, Josh (the technician) did exemplary work. You may find some electrical services a little less expensive, but would highly recommend JM for high quality service at a fairly set and transparent price. Will use them for major electrical jobs in the future, and hope to see their business expand.

JM Electric was able to get someone to our house in less than two hours from the time I contacted them, and Jim was wonderful. He fixed a couple of problems for a very reasonable price, and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We are looking forward to working with Jim and JM Electric again for future projects! 8/17/17 Ive dealt with many contractors in the past, but none of them impressed me as much as JM Electric. The electrician arrived quickly and was very professional. I was provided an accurate estimate up front, which was slightly cheaper than competition. I would recommend JM Electric over the companies that I have used in the past.

Josh and his assistant were our tech to fix our electric meter, box and wiring. They were really professional and dedicated all their efforts.
