I purchased a groupon for this establishment for a 50 minute massage. It was in a great location, close to my house, and overall convenient. It was really easy to call in and set up the appointment, and my massage experience was so great, that I decided to purchase a 90 min massage gift certificate, with gratuity for my boyfriend so he could have the same experience. Thats when the tables turned. After purchasing the certificate for a 90 min massage, I got an email copy of the certificate; the wrong services were showing on the certificate. I called back in, took 3 attempts for someone to answer the phone, and I spoke to a receptionist who apologized, changed the services and emailed me the new certificate. My boyfriends massage was today. He got there, filled out the paperwork, everything seemed to be going well. He called me after the services and thanked me for the massage and said it was great so he left a good tip. I was taken aback as I was reassured 3 times by 2 separate people that I paid for the gratuity in advance since it was a gift and I didnt want him to spend a penny. I immediately called in and explained that my boyfriend was just there for a massage and he had to pay gratuity, but I already paid for it so I was concerned he had to pay again. The woman pulled up the account and confirmed I had gratuity included. She continued to explain that there are so many people and I called in the morning so there was some confusion. I explained that as a customer, I quite frankly do not care how disorganized they are and I was assured that this would be a seamless experience for him and he was taken care of. Furthermore, I was more upset as they told him the actual cost of the massage so he could tip accordingly. I am the type of person I do not want you to know the value or cost for a gift that I give someone, esp someone I love and care about. I want them to selfishly enjoy the gift without a worry. The receptionist then told me she did not know how to process the refund herself, and would have to wait for someone to go show her how to do it. I am not happy with this experience at all. Lotus has lost me as a customer.

Ive been to this spa twice. Once in December to have my hair and makeup done before my company holiday party and just recently for a massage. We purchased a Groupon for an elemental massage for two people. We both chose the fire massage that included a hot oil scalp massage and also upgraded to include a foot scrub. My roommate and I walked out of our rooms completely relaxed to be offered a nice cold glass of lemon water as well as sangria. We were led to the outdoor patio to enjoy our drinks and the beautiful day. Based on both of my experiences at this spa, I decided to purchase a membership. There was no hard sell, just a very quick mention of their membership packages if we were interested. The manager brought out the packet of information, two sign up sheets and two pens, answered our questions and then left us alone. The customer service here has been top notch each time Ive been here and I cant wait to get to know everyone there even better now that well be going there monthly. (My roommate didnt sign up since she can go with me and pay my member prices!) To the person that gave a 1 star rating because of the Groupon expiring before you could get an appointment....please be sure to read the fine print.....it very clearly states that the value never expires but additional costs will be incurred after the fact. As with any spa, its rare that you can get an appointment with short notice. We had trouble finding a good time for our next service and we were booking a month out. Also, please understand that to give you special treatment by allowing you to use your Groupon after expiration and not charging you the difference is a business decision that is most likely based on how often that probably happens. You may think its no big deal for just you, but do you think youre the only one that was asking? This is an excellent spa with excellent staff, customer service and very reasonable prices. I will recommend this to all of my friends!!

Like many other reviewers, my wife and I came here because a friend had purchased a Groupon for us as a gift for a Couples Massage. And like many others, the deadline had expired and we had to put the balance paid for the Groupon towards our massage. Unlike many others, I personally despise Groupon. I feel the concept itself is bad for business, and the people that use them tend to be on the cheaper side and have no customer loyalty. Businesses do Groupons so they can build their customer base. Unfortunately, Groupon buyers chase the latest deals, and very few ever return. However, this was a gift and we certainly appreciated our friend thinking of us. We had no problem paying the balance for the massages because we missed the expiration date. We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I was paired with Hecza (sp?) and my wife was paired with Lisa. Both were great. Lisa especially took great care of my wife who had certain restrictions on her massage due to health reasons. The massages were thorough and didnt feel rushed at all. My only complaint was that after the massage, they were low on sangria (which was part of the Groupon) and we did get pressured by two different staff members to book another appointment. Normally, we would certainly be interested in doing so. But we live about 45 minutes away from this business, so it doesnt make a whole lot of sense for us to become members unfortunately. All things considered, we had a good experience here. If we lived closer, wed definitely be back.

UNPROFESSIONAL. I received the worst haircut of my entire life. I went to the Lotus Spa Salon to get my hair highlighted and trimmed (explaining that in growing it out for my wedding next summer. The color looked good and cut didnt seem bad as it was blown out and curled. A few days later I straightened my hair and thats when I noticed that I now have layers, choppy, uneven layers. Mind you I did not have any layers. I was so upset because it was visually noticable but I was leaving that morning for vacation. Shortly after I got back I called Lotus Spa Salon and made an appointment to see if Stephanie could try to blend it in. I left and it was even shorter and she even explained to me that she doesnt cut wet hair well and didnt check my hair before it was curled then goes to say she probably gave me layers because when dying hair lighter it turns to mush. I believe that should have been discussed with me (the client) before doing something that I didnt ask for. Not to mention when I called to talk to the manager, she laughed. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Booked months in advance just to be told the day of that we apparently no showed somehow for an appointment we never made and was cancelled as a result. We had a couples group on and even checked back a few weeks in advance. Then tried to charge us 40 a piece for no show fees. Its one thing if we actually no showed its an entire other to have waited months and even called to confirm two weeks prior. Just to be told by the owner she took the liberty to cancel because i hadnt returned her call fast enough. Heres to being charged for stuff you didnt do and being let down after months of anticipation. Then charged for things we never did I dont know if it is a glitch in their system or just how they do business. I will ensure all friends of family of mine steer clear of this place.
