I like my gyms dirty. Why? Because dirty gyms usually attract die-hard lifters that know how to behave. Here, that is not the case. The gym is dirty and there are still dudes shamelessly hitting on me and cardio bunnies putting their 15 pound dumbbells where the 50s go - while Im standing there trying not to drop them! Now, maybe the gym cant control its locale, but it can certainly control its staff. They, however, fit right in with the unsavory crowd. With everything from joking loudly and inappropriately right over me while Im at the cable machine (and shooting me dirty looks while I gawk in frustration) to flat-out ignoring me while Im standing at the desk. One time, I approached one of their trainers while he was waiting for his class to start. I asked him if I could use the equipment for a set before his class started. He curtly stated, "Not while my class is starting." He then continued to stand there - No class yet - for another 15 minutes while there was a trainer actually training someone on the only other piece of equipment like it. But I guess I couldnt do one set before his class started, huh? Also, I can think of maybe 20 different ways he could have been more polite about it. Its gym ettiquette to communicate. How can you expect the patrons to know gym etiquette when the staff dont have any either? They hire "New Membership Consultants" to give you that warm-fuzzy feeling that this gym will have everything you want. Once youre a member, they never speak to you again. The cleaners get in your way while youre in the squat rack. Sounds safe, right? Obviously I came to the gym at 2 am so people would be in my way. Maybe I wouldnt be so annoyed by that if it only happened once or if the gym ever seemed cleaner after the cleaners left. But neither is the case. And the remodel? All that just to touch up a paint job that didnt even really need it and hang some pretty pictures on the wall? If Id known 24 Hour was trying to operate like a frivolous, designer gym, I wouldnt have joined. And that brings me back to my original point. If this 24 Hour wants to be a designer gym, they should be clean. If they want to be dirty, they should act like they give more of a crap about serious patrons. Trying to have it both ways is confusing and unpleasant, to say the least. Theres a gym down the street with two locations, unlimited tanning, unlimited guests, a sauna, and a broader class schedule for only 25 bucks a month. I used to go there. I loved it! Ill be cancelling 24 Hour Fitness and going back there.

AMAZING GYM. Dont be fooled by these "beginner gymers" they blow it out of proportion. This gym isnt the cleanest, neither is any other gym at peak hours. Obviously finger print scanners get dirty, you added another smudge to the 900 previous. Ive been told its cleaned every night. No shower curtains, like in my apartment, college, and most other gyms. Why? Sleazy slobs steal them. Weights are not always in the proper location. This shouldnt be ANY gyms fault. When we grow up I hope we were all taught how to put things back where you found them. To those just using the steam room, please stop whining about what you dont use. Most times the red shirt employees are at the front for clients/sales. No reason they cant do their job. If Im not "greeted" I dont care one bit. Weights are my greeting, desperately wanting to be lifted from its graceful resting spot. Remodeling took three weeks; new ceiling and wall paint, clocks in a better location, large cool nature/scenery pictures everywhere, new locker room doors that actually fit with most locks, new brick in front, cleaner looking floors, and probably missed a few more. Every gym has their people who you may notice more by their various sounds, actions, or both. Even if it sounds like someone is lifting an elephant with its trunk stuck in a peanut jar singing karaoke, so what. It may even add to the staggering number of hilarious "gym fail videos." Had a membership almost a year, no regrets. Its at a superb location All the staff old and new, have always been friendly and helpful to me. Before anyone puts 1, 2, or 3 star reviews, please remember this: every coin has two sides. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this, and I hope this review will help people make their decision.

I wish I had more hands to give this gym four thumbs down. Its an abomination, period. Ive been a member of other 24hr gyms around the country and this one is by far the worst. Nasty facility in general. Not only that, but most of their cardio equipment is broken in some shape or form. They dont have actual cleaning staff at this facility so youll occasionally see the trainers/sales people go around and clean. In addition, every jackass from Fort Carson and their douchy friends end up at this place to do PT at all hours of day to avoid wearing the Army PT uniform on post, so expect to find equipment misplaced...all the time. I wrote a few emails to corporate about this location and never got a reply. Dont you just hate it when you get on a treadmill and you start off at slow pace and then start running only for the treadmill to start skipping and you almost end up tripping off the thing? Yeah, thats pretty much every treadmill there, did I mention they are all caked on with other members sweet sweet sweat and other delicious bodily fluids? Yup! Youll find it all here at Broadmoor. Oh, lets go take a tour of the nastified sauna; dirty 24hr.... kinda lives up to the clubs name, no? I have nothing against the staff, they are cool, never had a problem with them, its just the location. I signed up with this gym because it is literally a 5 minute drive from my house, but after a few months there, they would have to pay ME and feed me pizza to go to that disgusting location. I would rather drive to Peterson, or go to the very nice Iron Horse Gym on Fort Carson and deal crowds during PT hours than get some STD from touching the equipment at this Gem of a gym. tsk tsk tsk 24hr, shame shame.

I spoke with salesperson and manager about the situation before writing this review. I was sharing with them in hopes that the issues would be taken care of and I would then join the club. The salespersons were polite and receptive to my issues even admitting there were problems. They seemed concerned and wanted to help fix the problems. However, the manager tried to argue any criticism, even trying to make me feel like I was dreaming it up. I was not shocked tonight as I read all the other reviews. Here is what I found after 2 visits - Pool area filthy. Hot Tub closed. Sauna smelled horrible, gym basket ball players in there with all their sweaty shoes and clothes. Bathroom ( Beyond dirty. Door on stalls broken off. Both toilets covered in &&^^%%. No seat covers. No paper towels. No swim suit dryer. Showers broken and cold.) Had to go to front every time i had a question as I was new, meaning, never ever saw one employee walking around or cleaning. Outdated and broken equipment. When I asked if there was Wi Fi, I was treated as if I were asking for the moon. Well, when on the bike, I like to use Wi Fi and have NEVER in a few years been to a gym or rec center without wi fi. I was amazed at how packed the gym was. It would be interesting to see how busy it would be if it were cleaned up. Golds gym, YMCA, both so far superior. Again, did to want to share this publicly. I wish the manager had stepped up to the plate rather than try and ignore the issues.
