I have been a member of the Parker gym for several years. I have had trouble with the childcare employees and management. I had concerns about my daughter and I attempted to address them with the staff and managers and they were dismissed. During my explanation, the employee turned and walked away from me mid sentence. Extremely disrespected to my face!! My daughter fell on her head when she was just over a year (off of a foam couch) in the childcare area. When I picked her up no one told me. I went to the cafe and after about 15 minutes I noted redness and a bump on the side of her head. I went back to the childcare to address my concerns and they looked at each other and were afraid to tell me the truth. After some time, I got answers. The employees in the childcare center told me that my 5 year old said she would watch my 1 year old. Really??? Maybe these employees should not be working with children!! Due to my concern for my daughter, I only went to the gym early so that I did not have to bring my children. It was a disappointment not to be able to use the gym and trust the employees to care for my children. Extremely disappointed in the level of so called customer service in the childcare center. When I mentioned my concerns to management in the membership office, they were dismissed as well. I too have had difficulty in losing items and not being able to retrieve them. I left a water bottle in the childcare area. I called back and was told it was there, they put it in the cabinet under the computer with my name on it. (This is something they are not supposed to do, but I asked politely as I was not interested in returning on that snowy afternoon and they were able to oblige.) When I returned to get my water bottle the next week, it was not there!!!! I had left my name and phone number. Apparently, it was donated. This was not the first time. When we became members, we received a gym bag that tore and metal pieces were sticking out of the fabric. I spoke with the girl in membership that signed us up. She said, no problem, come back in and we will replace your bag, no questions asked. When I returned to exchange my bag, she was no longer employed there. I spoke with a man (the membership manager, I believe his name was Keith). He stated that they could not give me a new bag or anything comparable. Again, I was disappointed and frustrated by the level of customer service care and continuity. It seems they are more interested in the numbers (getting new members), than in taking care of the ones they already have! I have had three other unfavorable experiences. One at the pool (on opening day this last summer). I took my children there with some friends to enjoy the opening day. I found several pieces of small sharp metal (small spiral ones left over from a repair job) and some rusty pieces around the concrete area surrounding the pool. This seems like an obvious potential legal issue since people are running around barefoot in this area. An inexcusable oversight. This area should have been swept and inspected. I hope this changes in the future.(It was brought to their attention). I was utilizing the hot tub one afternoon. The 2nd hot tub was being cleaned by two young teen age boys. They were dipping the magic eraser sponge in the clean hot tub and wringing it out right near where I was trying to enjoy my soak, dispelling cleaning chemicals into the hot water. (I have a feeling this was against protocol). Our child also attended summer camp one year and when my husband went to pick our child up, they were extremely disorganized and no one even checked his ID to be sure she was leaving with the correct person. This was a huge safety concern for me. I believe this started to change, the next summer. We have had some favorable experiences as well, but I would like to see consistency and care with their customer service in the future. It is frustrating never getting the same information.

Would be 5 stars if it was not for their child care or the way they handled my situation. I normally dont post bad reviews but since they really dropped the ball, I am. I live over 30 minutes away from this gym but decided to go there because it was the only gym I trusted to watch my daughter. She was 8ish months when I started going there. There is a separate infant room which made me feel comfortable. My daughter has bad anxiety and they told me if needed that they would put her on some anxiety program. Well, the first few times I worked out and dropped her off, they called me to tell me she wouldnt stop crying. I knew I had to be persistent to get her off this cycle. They wouldnt do the anxiety program with us. One day I went in, worked out, and no call! I was so excited. When I went to pick up my baby, she was dry heaving from crying so hard. The ladies continued to tell me that she cried the whole time! I was livid that they didnt call but they thought I was getting upset for not working out. My daughter comes first. I told them to never do that again and they told me they would put it in my notes on the computer. Things, I thought, were getting better aside from the fact that my baby kept getting sick (flu, hand foot and mouth, colds) and I knew it was from them which is ok but it was constant. What made me pull the plug was when I would pick up my baby towards the end, they had her in this bassinet type thing with multiple blankets over her head. I would get her out and she would be drenched in sweat. This happened multiple times after I even told them not to. The girls and guys working there are SO sweet but highly uneducated with babies. I went to cancel, they asked me why, and the lady seemed genuinely upset with the situation. She asked that the GM give me a call. I agreed. Few weeks go by, and 0 call. I called him and explained what happened so that no one else has to go through that. He, also, seemed genuine with his apology, said he was going to talk to that department, and asked if he could follow up with me. It has been a while and no phone call. So, great gym, fantastic classes and equipment and pool, but awful childcare and management (in my experience) Very disappointed.

I have been a member since opening. We have recently chose to suspend our membership due to the recent price increase as we do not live close and there are other work out options more closely to our home. An e-mail that went out on Oct 8th indicating that there would be an increase was 3 days past the time you could make changes to your membership so you had no choice but to keep or pay the price increase. I called to talk with Rich McCart who I was told is the Manager of the location but did not receive a call back. I visited the facility on Nov 5th and was told that Rich had called me which he had not done. After some lengthy conversations with Kristi and Liz in Membership it was agreed that they would refund the month of Nov member dues and that it would take a day or so for the refund and I was assured this would be taken care of promptly and I wouldnt be charged Dec dues. (FYI if you are a member you have to let them know you want to make a change 60 days in advance) I look at my bank account on 11/13 and call and speak with Corey as Rich McCart it would seem every time I have called or left a message is in a meeting. Corey who is in Membership Retention seemed agreeable to help and after some time on the phone I was told that this Customer Service Request was in Susans office. I was told that Susan handles these type of refunds but obviously hadnt been able to get to it over the course of the last week and a half. I asked Corey to please have Mr. McCart return my call and he said he would do so and that he assured me he would call me back. End of the day on 11/13 no call from Mr McCart and guess what he is in a meeting when I call. I speak to Corey again and was informed that Mr. McCart processed this today so in other words I was lied to about that it was in Susans office to be handled. At this time there is still no resolution / no refund and guess what no call from management. Feeling extremely frustrated by the lack of customer service. Looks like from these reviews I am not the only one who has experienced these type of problems.
