I have signed up for the membership in the summer of 2014 I am a student out of state so I came to stay with the family over the summer. This is exactly the information that I presented to they gym when I signed up, the employee told me that I can freeze my account and that I do not have to close it because I can reopnen it whenever I need to. So after the 3 initial payments were made and there were no more transactions made I thought wow what a great deal! But I openede up my account and I wanted to look up my spending to my surprise I had new charges made for 4 month that I had no idea about and I did not authorize them. When I went back to Parker Colorado to see my family I stopped by at that gym to correct this THEFT and the gentlemen over there told me that I was wrong that the freeze only works for 6 month and that I had an email sent to me. So I am currently trying to work with the my bank to dispute these charges, I was never told that the freeze was for 6 month otherwise I would never agree to it because I live out of state and I will not be using the facility why would I pay money for something I will not use. Another thing is that the gentlemen who handled my account has not said anything about an email being sent to me and that there would be anything different from the information that he has provided. I ended up closing that membership account completely and I had to get a new card to avoid any more THEFT from 24Hour Fitness. To whom it may concern BE CAREFUL and monitor your accounts because without you knowing it and without your authorization 24 HourFitness will take away your hard earned money.

Overall, a typical medium size corporate type gym club that is getting a little old. Pros- Has a good variety of all your usual equipment. Has a pool and hot tub.. Staff is very pleasant. The crowd is pretty normal looking. Its pretty inexpensive. Con- Its usually either crowded or VERY crowded. Equipment is very close together, there is minimal free space to do independent exercise. A lot of the equipment is getting beat up, and doesnt function well or at all. The gym and locker room are sort of clean, but could be much better. About 40% of the members are clueless about gym etiquette i.e. They will try to workout on top of you, try to use two machines at once while people are waiting, will take plates off the bench your using when youre in the middle of a set, etc. Management is not responsive to fixing or replacing outdated or broken equipment. Overall, so-so to not so great.

Disgusting. The whole time the "cleaning" guy was here (for an hour or two around 2am?), he didnt touch anything in the mens bathroom, didnt clean the pool area, and apparently (according to staff) hardly "cleaned" anything in the main gym area. Pretty nasty. Had he put in four times the effort, it wouldnt come close to achieving half-ass. Staff told me the same "cleaning" company company has a contract with all Colorado locations, replacing the much better cleaners they had before, which means all locations in the state may now be disease traps too. I normally schedule my workouts to arrive right after the place has been cleaned, but that may mean waiting indefinitely or simply canceling. Now looking for serious alternatives. Relatively minor issues: Six lights in the pool area are now out and they never seem to have all lights in working order. You could say the hot tub area is not sufficiently lit. Another light (one of two) in the sauna is out, as are two or three lights in the main gym area. Main water fountain broken.

Me and my wife have been to 24 hrs all over the country and this is by far the worst. It is constantly extremely hot, not that I dont go there to sweat but when its always 77 to 80 degrees it is just too hot for my wife to even go without getting dizzy and light headed because of her medical issues. The equipment is dirty, much dirtier than any of the other 24 hrs. I hate that this 24 hr is like this because it gives all the other ones bad names. My wife asked if they do any cleaning to maintain the place and the employee said they expected the customers to do it. I understand wiping down the equipment when youre finished but its not the customers job to maintain the equipment. About 1/3 of the treadmills always stick when I start to run, that wouldnt happen if things were properly maintained.

Just moved to the area and wanted to try out different gyms before selecting one. Got a guest pass online and headed to the gym. When i got there i was told since i already tried out other 24 hour fitness centers, i would be unable to use their guest pass as all 24 hour fitnesses are the same. I beg to differ as the other two were very different in cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and how crowded they were at different times. Also much friendlier staff. As Im not writing a review for the other gyms here, I wont mention them, but if you want to actually try out a gym before paying a membership fee or an outrageous one time fee, Id go anywhere else. These people obviously dont want your business.

I have a monthly rate of $25 for this club and it is absolutely worth it. If you are expecting Denver Athletic Club for this price you are being unrealistic. It IS clean, the equipment works, and its always open. Staff has always been friendly to me... Im not sure what people expect? Unless you are taking a class or using a trainer all they do is check you in. If you are really looking for someone to kiss your butt.. $25 a month is not going to get that for you anywhere. Really blaming a gym for getting sick? The world is filled with germs wash your hands. Also disturbing I now go to a gym with a guy named dirtymiddlefinger.

Not sure what these people are talking about. Ive been to many 24 hour fitness locations with my "All Club" membership and this location is the same as others. While I was in the locker room today there was a cleaning guy there. It seemed just fine to me. Its pretty easy to not get "sick" while in public places. Just keep your hands out of your eyes, nose and mouth. I imagine its pretty hard keep a large gym like this spotless considering there are hundreds of people a day coming and going not to mention sweating all their toxins out of their bodies all over the place then washing them off. I mean come on people.
