My daughter has wanted the Scene haircut for a while and we finally said ok but I knew I wanted a professional to do the cut. I found Holly through social networking after posting I was looking for someone that knew the "Emo" hairstyle. Holly is friendly and wasnt afraid to ask us questions and I felt extremely comfortable explaining what we wanted for the haircut. We shared various pictures of our idea. When it came time for the appointment she was ready as soon as we got there. She made sure to focus attention on Sarah and Sarah was so excited! This is very important to me because Sarah is very much her own person and I know she KNEW what she wanted.. She went to work and in probably less than 30 minutes my daughter had the exact haircut she has been wishing for. Holly is a joy and I can easily say she is a hair artist. You see the same passion a painter has in her as she works and manipulates the hair! Something I loved as the Mom was Holly did not push product on us. (I dont want to get her in trouble for not doing so with her work) I had explained that we are on a tight budget and that I was not prepared to invest a lot of money in product for my 9 year old. Holly respected this and made suggestions that will stay within my budget. My daughter is thrilled with her hair! I absolutely recommend Holly at Relax and I will be returning for sure. Im so very careful where I spend my money so to agree to expensive haircuts speaks volumes.

Upon entering, I was impressed! New furniture, super friendly front desk, and up-to-date magazines (a bonus!). However, thats where the good experience ended. The owner (who claims to be local but is from Boston) was my stylist and she is rough. I told her I have a sensitive scalp and said "Ouch" several times. At one point, she actually said, "You act like you have a sensitive scalp." UM, YES. I already mentioned that TWICE! However, I think that just egged her on to be rougher. The shampoo/conditioning phase lasted like 10 minutes (which if she was gentle and the water hot, would be heaven). Instead, it was terrible and I was counting the minutes for it to be over. All this for $128 -- cut & color. As a comparison, I usually pay $150 in the city (at Tonto) and Im bummed when I leave because its such a nice experience. Guess Ill have to start driving back into the city for a real salon experience. Save your money. Save your scalp. Skip Relax. It is NOT relaxing and should be renamed to "Rough" -- but all capital letters: ROUGH.

I went to the Relax salon in Conifer. DONT GO THERE. The stylist, Elizabeth, showed me to a seat covered in hair. When I asked her to clean it off, she barely wiped it off with her finger...I had to ask her to clean it with a towel. Next I asked if she had any recommendations for my hair to which she responded I had only asked for a blow dry and she didnt have time to discuss options. She was very rough when shampooing my hair, used no product on blow drying and straightening my hair- and no she didnt even have the skill to blow dry my hair straight. When she was finished she had put my bangs on the entirely wrong side of my head. I asked her to fix it and she ended up spraying me with a water bottle in order to blow dry them back the other way. There were literally drops of water dripping down my face. Then she was done, she didnt even ask if I liked my hair or if there was anything I wanted different. I left with my hair looking worse than it did when I came in.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with Relax Salon. My mom and I went for a trial-run for my up-do for my wedding and we were there for 4 hours. The girl that I had an appt with was very inexperienced, she would spray one section of hair and then twist and pin and re-pin it - and then repeat the process about 3 times with the same section of hair. I explained several times that I wanted loose curls, maybe half up and half down and she was not able to do this. It was very frustrating. With 10 minutes left until closing time the owner of the salon came to take over, threw a few curls in, and was done. After all of it we still had to pay for our lovely 4 hours spent there. Unless you can get the owner to do your up-do for your wedding and no one else, I would strongly discourage you from choosing Relax for any wedding hair styles.

I have been getting my hair cut by Gina at Relax Salon for a little over two years now. I started going to the salon when it was at the old location (on Hwy 73), and now I go to the new location near Safeway. She has always done a great job asking how the haircut worked out the last time, and if there are any changes that need to be made she does it. She has been very consistently professional, and the new shop is a great salon with more services than before and a great collection of items for sale in the front. I really didnt want to have to go down the hill every time I needed my hair cut, and I am thrilled to have found a quality salon near my home! If you are looking for a good place to go in the Evergreen/Conifer area, give them a try!

This place was a rip-off. I spent $28 on a hair cut of the same quality I could have gotten at Cost Cutters. Furthermore, the lady that owns this place (the one who cut my hair) was unfriendly and unpersonable. When she washed my hair, there were numerous times when I thought Ouch!!-- she was very rough. When she finished the cut, it only slightly resembled what I had asked. I had asked for my hair to lay in a V shape in the back-- It was cut straight across. I had asked for my bangs (side swept) to be cut at an angle-- they were cut straight across. Needless to say I had to have a different hair stylist, at a different location, fix what shed done. If you want to get a low quality hair cut, just go to Cost Cutters and pay half the price.

What a wonderful experience. I had made an appointment with Elizabeth for a hair cut. I had an interview that next day and wanted my cut to look professional. I showed her a picture of the type of cut I wanted. Not only did she make my haircut perfect, she made me look 5 years younger. She also knew just what product would best for my hair type. They also have natural hair products. This is one of the best cuts I have had in a long time. I also found the salon to be very clean ( much more than most others) and the receptionist was very professional and friendly. I am definitely sticking with this salon and Elizabeth!

I went to Relax Salon for the first time today and my appointment was with Jordyn for a haircut. From the moment I met her I felt relaxed and when i sat down she really listened and gave me some great input about the style I was thinking about. She seemed very confident, which in turn made me feel confident and wow, did she ever do a great job on my hair!! It lays perfectly and I can just feel it is a fantastic cut. Im so glad I got paired up with Jordyn, she is so engaging and in tune. I feel lucky to have found Relax Salon and Jordyn...thank you!!!
