I was recently retained by a friend and business associate to cater her wedding at Quebec Place at Fairmount cemetery on May 18,2017. I called to inquire about touring the facility on April 17, 2017. I spoke with an associate there and told her I would call back as the date got closer and schedule an appointment. The same associate then called me May 4th and told me they required an insurance document from me and it was due 30 days before the event. I wasnt sure why she didnt mention that in my first phone call to her and asked her to email me exactly what I needed to ask my insurance agent for to avoid any mistakes since the date was less than 2 weeks away. We set an appointment for my tour and I told her Id bring documents with me. Less than 10 minutes later I received a text from my client stating Fairmount cemetery had called her and informed her I didnt have the proper documentation to cater there. Needless to say, the bride was very upset. I explained to her that at that time I did not have it because its something only my insurance agent can provide and I had called my agent to provide the venue with necessary documentation. My insurance agent emailed them documentation within 24 hours after being asked for it. One might assume they would then call the bride and ease her mind but they chose not to do so. When I went in for a tour of the facility I had to ask the event director there how our phone call went from me telling them Id bring the documentation to our meeting to them calling the bride less than two weeks before her wedding to tell her she had no caterer. I was expecting an apology and instead I was met with an attempt at intimidating me and insults regarding my catering experience. (Ive catered Barrock Obama, his press corp and secret service agents on 36 hours notice, Ive catered Bill Clinton, numerous other presidents of other countries, ceos, governors and mayors) I decided not to engage in their insults, take the tour, leave and proceed in catering my friends wedding. On the day of the event, staff at the cemetery watched me set up a champagne fountain, watched the father of the bride bring in beer and wine. The staff members even wheeled in a portable bar for us to use. One hour before the ceremony was to take place the event director at the cemetery came to inform us they werent aware alcohol would be served and unless we had another insurance document covering alcohol none could be served. My agent wasnt able to provide it on such short notice. I have to wonder why they spent time watching us bring in alcohol and helped us by providing a portable bar, instead of mentioning then no alcohol was expected and we needed to provide another document. Instead they waited until last minute so nothing could be done at that point. Then during the event they had 3 staff members standing at doorway to the event space glaring at the guests the entire time holding their contract. Id also like to mention on 3 different occasions while I was setting up 3 dead bodies were transported threw the hallway that separates the kitchen from the event space and I had to stop what I was doing so they could continue costing me time and also making me wonder how the Health Dept. would feel about this. Towards the end of the event, Fairmount staff members started removing linens I rented from the tables before all the guests had left the space. The clients had the room for two more hours and they couldnt wait until all the guests and wedding party had left to start removing linens I rented and placed on the tables as if they were telling us hurry up and get out. I would not recommend this event space to anyone for several reasons but mainly because or their lack of customer service skills and unwillingness to admit when they are mistaken and apologize. The dead bodies being transported in front of me doesnt help either. I felt as if they were purposely trying to sabotage the wedding.

My Mom passed away in April 2012. We had made prearranged services for her at Fairmont. We signed all the necessary paperwork and now we are receiving letters from a collection agency saying Fairmont did get paid. If they (Fairmont) had done their do diligence they would have received their payment timely. They charged for a head stone that has not been received. They lost the paperwork twice. Whats up with them? We are grieving over the loss of my Mom and we have to deal with the worst cematary in Colorado. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

This is a very nice place to ride you bike and walk through. The wildlife and breath taking sights are priceless. This is truly and great place to see and go. The grave stones are amazing. The grounds are well up to date and always clean. The military wall is a great place to thank the ones who lost there live helping others. If you are looking to remember someone this is the best place to do it. The funerals are very heart felt and something that you will remember.

Here lies my handsome 3yr nephew, a beautiful resting place and beautiful views. I often visit my nephew, sitting at his resting place at times for a few hours, not once have I EVER been bothered or questioned... Very well groomed lawn and very well maintained.

Historic cemetery. The architecture and monuments are unbelievable. If you go for no other reason than to just see all the cool stuff do so. Kind of creepy on an overcast or rainy day. Please be respectful as this is a place of reverence.

I recently lost my wallet and it was found at Fairmount by one of their engravers. He went out of his way to contact me and returned my wallet that evening with everything in tact. Honest, good people here!
