I relocated to CO a little over a year ago from the South and immediately began looking for a new hair salon. I am very picky when it comes to my hair. I have VERY thick, coarse hair which can be very intimidating to many stylists and honestly takes a good stylist to manage it. It takes a good 3+ hours to do my hair if I get a cut and color (balayage) in the same appointment. This has been the story of my life forever and makes finding a new salon very tricky. Ive been to salons in the past who try to rush the process, mess the cut of my hair up, make me feel like they never want to do my hair again, etc. From day 1 at Aura, I knew this was my new salon. Heather gave me an excellent cut and really took her time to get to know me, my hair, and provide a full consultation about products, styling, etc. Additionally, she hooked me up with Wendy to do the color on my next appointment. She was very upfront about the fact that she is great at cutting and Wendy is great at coloring and she was not wrong, they are the perfect duo for my hair. Yes, I did pay more than I previously had but it is worth every single penny. In the past year, Ive seen Heather 4x for a cut now and Wendy 2x for color. Im not one to go to the salon every 6-8 weeks for cuts and colors because I dont need it, however Ive had cuts and colors in the past where in 6-8 weeks it was a mess. Not here, hands down the best! The color and cut grows out exceptionally well. Ive gotten so many compliments on my hair over the past year. It hard to give an overall review for Aura in general because Ive only ever seen Heather & Wendy, however the booking process has always been smooth, everyone is always friendly when Ive been in, and they have hired top notch stylists who are up to date on their education, so they have to be doing something right. Give Aura a try!

First, let me say that Heather is amazing and I have never loved my hair as much as I do now that shes my stylist. I was recommended to Aura by my previous hairstylist when I moved to this area last year. When I made my first appointment, I decided to do it in person because, well.... choosing a new hair person when youre going from hair past your shoulders to a pixie cut is absolutely terrifying, and I wanted to be sure whoever I scheduled with was aware of what they were getting themselves into. The receptionist (Im sorry I dont remember her name) listened to what I wanted and knew right away who would be the best fit for me. As soon as I sat down in Heathers chair and started talking through what I wanted, she understood immediately what I was going for. She was knowledgeable, inviting, professional, and cool as hell, and she did an incredible job cutting and styling my hair! Ive gotten a chance to chat with a colorist there as well and its obvious all of Auras staff is well-trained in their craft as well as excellent customer service. Thank you guys so much, keep doing what youre doing!

I received a hair cut at this salon and my stylist Heather was amazing. However, the next day I called because my sister was going to be in town (from Missouri) and I wanted to surprise her with a salon day. Both myself and my sister have been in the military for 9 or so years. We have been away from each other a lot and she was about to deploy for another year. All I wanted was to spend time with her before she left. I requested that we have our massages in the same room. The front desk informed me we could do them at the same time but in order to be in the same room there would be an upcharge. Even after requesting a cheaper manicure in the spa package, the manager and front desk refused to let us have our massages in the same room without paying an upcharge. This seems silly to me. Not only did you loose over $500 of business in one day but I, nor any of my friends and family will ever go there again. I wasnt asking for a discount but simply wanting to spend time with my sister before she deploys to go fight for YOUR FREEDOM. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for supporting the troops!

I cant say enough good things about Aura. From Ashley the receptionist who greets us with smiles and offers of refreshments to Rachel McGrew: this place rocks. Rachel is the subject here, though. My daughter is a gymnast whose hair (like mine) resists staying put -- a no-no for gym and dance! My daughter not only trusts Rachel to cut her hair (a tween big deal) but also to put it up for her meets. Rachel took the time -- on a Friday night no less! -- to research "gymnastics hair", to purchase necessary materials, and to chat with my daughter to calm her throughout the first appointment. Now, we dont compete without a visit to Miss Rachel. Aura has the *best* aura and as far as were concerned, the best stylist around for tweens and their moms. Beautiful facility, awesome staff, true and compassionate talent: hats off to Aura!

Me and my bridal party had a fabulous experience at Aura. I set up the appointments and contract with Deni, and she was great and accommodated a day before request to add 2 makeup appointments. On the day of, the salon set up a lovely table and offered everyone in the bridal party complimentary wine and had champagne glasses ready for us to use. Alexandra did an amazing job on my hair. She gave me an elegant 1940s glam updo with beautiful detailing. I got TONS of compliments and it held all night long. Amber did an equally amazing job on my makeup -- retaining a natural look while still glamming me up. Everyone we encountered at Aura was super friendly and accommodating and I could not recommend more highly for wedding services. The salon itself is gorgeous too!

The AURA Salon & Spa is an amazing experience! Upon entry, the salon environment is one that is welcoming and soothing. I was warmly welcomed by Deni, who was ready to help me find out what it was that I needed. Out of all the places that Ive been to that offered both salon and spa, AURA Salon and Spa takes my vote for being the most customer friendly. When I went I had my hair done by a hairstylist, Alexandra, she was able to turn the mess on my head into something that I was proud to wear. Im also happy to say that I have my own personal esthetician, Natalie, who made my skin feel and look amazingly rejuvenated. If youre looking for a place to be soothed and renewed, AURA is the obvious place Id recommend.

I am so excited to have found AURA - the moment I walked in, I knew there was something different about this place. Ive been to an almost uncountable number of salons and spas, and I cant express how every experience Ive had at AURA has surpassed them all - and its all so close to home! Everyone at AURA is friendly and seems to take any extra step to make me feel at home - Ive even been asked if I want a glass of wine during my service! Love it! The products are hands down the most fabulous Ive used, and the staff takes the time to explain which services and products are a good fit for me - Im all about this hair cut that I got that is so low maintenance! Definitely recommend AURA!
