PMCF is an incredible gym. I have been a member since its opening in October 2013. Previous to its opening I regularly attended FIT - a VERY high intensity workout programmed by Nate (founder of PMCF/FIT and co-owner). It offers wide variety of classes (a slightly scaled-down version the original FIT, CrossFit, yoga, kickboxing, Olympic lifting) offered several times throughout the day, as well as chiro and dry needling services. The programming is tough but can accomodate anyones physical ability and experience. Any workout can be modified or scaled to suit whatever you want to accomplish or any ailiment/injury you may have. Being a member of a new gym comes with all of the perks of a new gym: new equipment, new facility, clean showers, etc. But the best part about the gym is the people inside. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Nate, Shaun and the other coaches frequently schedule social activities and outside competitions (i.e. Tough Mudder, etc.). They truly have created a community of genuine people who welcome everyone and leave their egos at the door. Unfortunately I have very recently moved away from Colorado. Prior to my departure I have gone to at least a dozen other boxes; either to attend with a friend, work out on vacation or to find something a little closer to my new home; and there has yet to be a single one that compares with regards to facility, equipment, programming and community. Hands down the best gym I have ever been to.

I joined FIT Park Meadows last January after talking to some friends about CrossFit and doing research on most of CF gyms in the South Denver metro area. As a former high school athlete, I was not a stranger to exercising and being fit, but after many years of working an office job, 10+ years of marriage and 2 kids, I found myself overweight and completely out of shape. Over the years, Id try working out with a personal trainer at one of the big bix gyms, but that never stuck and Id get back into a pattern of inactivity with the associated weight gain. Then I decided to run a 1/2 marathon, but when the training and race was done, I sat back on my couch. Realizing I needed more consistency, I decided to try out FIT Park Meadows. Initially focusing on a CF workout, I was immediately drawn to their FIT classes. I like the blend of high intensity cardio, core workout and strength training that they provide. In addition, FIT classes help keep members accountable with a team dynamic, so often missing from other gyms. The other nice thing about FIT Park Meadows is that when I feel like it, I can hop into a traditional CF workout anytime. 11 months after joining, I am in markedly better shape than I have been in years. Ive lost some weight, gained muscle and generally improved my fitness level. I know that with better nutrition in the future, I can keep on improving on the work Ive put in at FIT Park Meadows.

My review only pertains to the crossfit side of the gym. Im sure the fit classes are great. Objective items; they are charging premium price but not supplying premium equipment like other CF gyms who charge less. None of the bars or bumper plates are Rogue. The end cap of a barbell fell off of the bar while I was there. A stack of bumpers feel over because they are on some cheap roller holding devices vs a permanent rack. Subjective items; the owner never acknowledged me. Other gym owners made a reasonable effort to make you feel welcome, this guy never said hi or shook my hand. I didnt like how I was treated by one of the coaches but we talked about it /worked it out after the fact. Most of the music was good buy some stuff came on that was not even workout music. My guess is that this rarely happens but it was weird. ***Most important of all*** the gym seemed good and I thought 80 people cant be wrong so I joined. A few classes later I didnt like the way I was treated and wanted to cancel. They didnt want to refund and of my $70 but after I called to ask for a refund Mike said he would ask the owner. They did end up giving a partial refund.

Regardless of your misguided thoughts of crossfit or any other fitness program, if you think you are fit or want to get to fit then come here. Traveled the land far and wide for work while trying to maintain my fitness goals. This box tested me and help me realized a whole another gear. They specifically run a F.I.T. program that is packed with bodies and 50 minutes of soul crushing intensity. If you are a crossfiter there is that as well. What started as my standard Tabata interval warm up morphed into a dizzying array of crossfunctional movements. There is this concept of team based fitness that forces you to make an unrefundable deposit of will and grit. There is no stopping here. No patience for your own mediocrity. They want you only at your best in form and effort. $25 earned me exactly what we all strive for which is reaching that gut wrenching and sweat soaked moments of pure doubt in ones own ability and will married with the momentary bliss of the clock striking 00 signaling the end of a workout. Thanks guys. I knew my limits. I pushed past them. When Im back we will do this dance again.

I joined FIT Park Meadows almost two years ago at the urging of my husband, who had previously joined as a Crossfitter. I started with FIT classes and soon learned that my existing, purportedly good level of fitness didnt compare with what I could achieve. The FIT classes challenged me to do things that I didnt think were possible for a 40-something person and after a short time, I noticed a significant increase in strength and stamina. Eventually, I transitioned to Crossfit, where every class is a learning experience in technique and form. All the members challenge and support one another and I cant imagine not having the friendships I have built; particularly among the women, we are indeed, a sisterhood in strength! All the coaches push the members to do their best while also understanding that some people may have physical limitations; any movement is modified to best suit each individuals needs and strengths. FIT Park Meadows is a place where you will push your body to the limit and realize how valuable it is to live an active, healthful life. Try it out!

Before life took over with two kids, grad school, and a cross country move I was an avid runner and gym member. I had always been in great shape. Then life happened and so did 30+ lbs. After my 2nd kid I vowed to return to my old self. After some skepticism I started at FIT Park Meadows in January 2015 and instantly felt like I belonged. The coaches and the atmosphere is awesome. The programming is always changing. The class times are convenient for all - from early morning to late evening. With encouragement from other members and coaches I even crossed over and tried Crossfit. The combo training - strength with high intensity cardio has me knocking at my old weight. Something I once felt impossible. I am stronger and FITter than I have been in 6 years. If you are wondering if you should try this gym out, all you have to do is try. You will leave hurting all over, but looking forward to doing it all over again. I look forward to many more killer workouts with the awesome coaches!
