I wanted to wait a few months before giving a review. I never give reviews unless I have a deplorable experience or an exceptional one; this is the latter. This review is a bit long, but read through it; especially if you are considering starting Crossfit. I originally started Crossfit at a nearby popular gym. I was 54 years old, grossly out of shape, and very overweight. It was originally scary, but I showed up one day and persevered. The trainer I had was patient with me, scaled back the workouts, and knew when to push me, and when to hold me back when I was a little overzealous(To stave off injury). The gym itself was a little "cliquish" and I got the usual smirks and double takes only a large person would know, when entering a gym. However, the trainer was that good, and worth me sticking to it 3x/week. Unannounced to me, the trainer inexplicably disappeared. The next trainers were friendly, but no where near as knowledgeable. It was then I realized how important your trainer is in Crossfit; no matter what level youre at. The "Cliquish" feel was still there too, so I decided to follow the trainer. Through the grapevine, I had heard he had switched to a new gym ("Box" in Crossfit language) that was opening up in Castle Rock; Croosfit Loop. I had to wait a month or so before I could go and run out my contract with the old box. Upon entering Crossfit Loop for the first time, the difference was immediately noticeable. First of all one of the owners, a husband and wife team(Korby & Anne), usually greet you at the door. You also notice the friendly, family like atmosphere. Although most of my kids are out of the house, theres a daycare for your young kids while you work out; and they even have some family workouts. That barely-accepted-cliquish feeling I got at the old place, is nonexistent at Crossfit Loop. Everyone says hello and introduces themselves if they have never met you; management and members. This is perpetuated by Korby and Anne, and is consistent through out the box. The members range from beginners like my self(Although I believe I am the biggest) to high level Crossfitters ready for competition, all mixed in the same class. This too gives you something to work for; although not once have I ever felt any of them looked down at me. In fact, If Im lagging, or anyone is lagging, they all spur you on to finish. However, the most important feature of Crossfit Loop, and any Crossfit you start, are the trainers. The trainers at Crossfit Loop are top notch. I make it point to not only attend the class of the trainer I followed here(JT) but also use the other trainers they have here too. Each one I notice has a different specialty. Each one is highly trained and you can tell the difference; Korby and Anne took the time to hire the best. They have an onsite nutritionist that has also been very helpful, among other programs. I have a long way to go in my journey, but my the nonexistent core I had when I started, now exists. I still have 60-80lbs to lose, but it takes time, patience, eating the right foods, and Crossfit Loop. I hope this was helpful, especially to all the people considering Crossfit for the first time and wondering if they can do it; If I can, anyone can. The hardest thing is taking that step through the door. Do that, and the people at Crossfit Loop will handle the rest.

I emailed Korby through the website at 730 pm on a Sunday evening to drop in on monday 730 class. He replied that night extending an invite. At the gym, I felt like I had purchased some sort of premium membership as Korby gave me a full tour, introduced me to the coaches and athletes. The main floor is spacious and well maintained. I like the separate area where an athlete could put in a little extra work without worrying about interfering with the wod Everyone was friendly and welcoming. JT coached the WOD and took time to discuss the movements with me to make sure I was comfortable and so he could be sure I was going to be safe. Great warm-up, a short strength session and then the wod. If I lived in the area, no doubt I would noon loop. I dont know how this could be better unless there was free beer.

Literally the most fun and welcoming atmosphere I have EVER experienced at a Crossfit box. Our coach Joby was incredibly knowledgeable. He and the owner Korby made sure we were able to understand the movements, do them safely, and adjust anything we needed to (Crossfit is not my normal workout). The group we worked out with all knew each other well and had different levels of abilities and everyone was SO INCLUSIVE and supportive. There are definitely some hard core athletes and the coaches all have a massive amount of knowledge/training, but it felt accessible (while still giving me a hard workout) for a beginner. I will absolutely go back anytime I can make it down to Castle Rock- good vibes only at CrossFit Loop. I left with a smile that will carry through the whole day!

I never really liked the crossfit scene. It always seemed to me like a click that I was never apart of. I am also not very keen on cardio. However my wife wanted to check it out, so we did. Right when we walked in Korby greeted us and was very friendly and open. He also introduced us to his wife and other instructors, along with other members that were there for the workout. Everyone was very friendly. They have some great instructors that ensure you are doing the exercise correctly and no pushing you to do heavier weight. I have been going for only a month and still enjoy going. It is also great for teens. My oldest son goes and the classes for teens are at the same time as the adults which is very convenient. Great family oriented place to get a great workout.

My husband and I moved down to Castle Rock a little over 2 years ago and we had a to find a new box. We settled for the first one we found but after a awhile we noticed we were not making any gains and we were on a mission for a new box. Some close friends told us about CrossFit Loop so we took the family to check them out. Our first steps into the box, we instantly knew we found our new crossfit home. The owner, Korby, was very energetic and made my husband and I (and our 3 kids) feel very comfortable. The coaching staff is one of the best I have ever worked with. Within 4 months at CFL, my husband and we making new PRs every week. We are very happy with our progress and glad to call CFL our home. Our kids ask everyday if they can go to the green gym!

Where do I begin when giving a review for a place that is more than just your typical Crossfit gym. Its the only place Ive ever been where you are welcomed with a hug/fist bump/high five/butt slap/or your simple hello every day you walk through the Loop doors. The coaches are killer, their knowledge and work ethic is amazing. They know when to push you harder or back off and scale your workout. All the coaches bring something new to the table, Olympic lifting, Regional qualifier, Mental/Physical health and knowledge bombs. With such a wide variety of people/coaches we have a sick music selection ranging from Wide Spread Panic, JaRule, Gangster Rap, Garth Brooks and maybe some Bob Marley. Dog friendly/kid friendly, not much else you can ask for.
