My first encounter with this gym was in 2014. I had gone with my family to sign up for the 49.99 family plan. John was the employee my family and I had signed up with. During the initial sign up John had told me I could cancel at any time if I wrote a written request for cancellation and it would be honored 30 days later. On August 29th I had sent my written request to cancel the family plan seeing as how I was no longer living close by to the gym. For months I still was charged for this family plan, with no contact from the gym at all. I finally got in touch with the manager Adam, who had informed me he never had received the letter. So I sent the letter again, but just as before when I finally got in touch with them he said he had not received the letter this time as well. Adam then told me I had to send a letter from my cardiologist stating I was no longer in the same health state as before and for medical reasons could no longer come to the gym. Or he also gave me another option for me to send him a copy of a bill showing my new home address so he could see that I no longer lived in Northford. I faxed him a copy of my letter and yet again months went by before I got in touch with him where he told me once again that he did not receive the fax.. I told him that John had said during the initial meeting that all I had to do was send a written request for cancellation. He informed me that John was no longer an employee of theirs and made it seem like John was the one liable for this when it was no excuse for John it was the gym as well. It has been months and I am still being charged for a gym membership that I cannot use and have been trying to cancel for months. Also when I looked at my bills I had noticed that when I signed up, which was towards the end of the year, I was charged a yearly fee on top of my monthly membership. Not even a full year later I was charged the same fee . I advise anyone who is interested at all in this gym to read the fine print on everything before signing and agreeing to anything. Do not get me wrong, this gym is fantastic it is very clean and the equipment is great. However the enrollment and cancellation tactics behind this are very deceiving. Make sure to ask for the half price special because half of the equipment either doesnt work correctly, or is completely broken. Some of the treadmills are so loud I feel like Im working out in the middle of the Pratt n Whitney jet engine factory. Pic of treadmill thats been broke for 60+ days included. The bathrooms are also filthy. No o NE cleans them for days at a time.

This gym may not offer a lot of classes, but if youre just looking for a gym where you can simply go and so your workout without having to deal with the crowd of classes then this is your place! It has everything you need and is genuinely 24/7/365 (not 24/4 like other places ).

Terrible gym. Expensive, equipment is frequently broken and takes a long time to fix. Have got to wonder what your monthly payment is going towards, since its definitely not going towards the upkeep of the gym.
