So after reviewing not only yelp reviews but also google reviews and after one of my girlfriends went and kind of loved her color I decided to go myself and try the place out. Hated everything done to my hair! I had the new girl named Lauren although a very nice person, she needs to go back to beauty school and learn a few things about not only color but color placement when dealing with already dyed hair. The fact that after so much fuss and her legit pacing back and forth and asking the owner multiple questions about "what to use/ do to my hair" after putting in 4 different sets of toner mixes the owner did not take over. For the sake of your Solon and wanting people to come back and receive amazing feedback youd want to step in and just do it yourself if the person who was supposed to do a good job doesnt !! The owner simply walked over said a few things then walked about to her own customer. It was SO apparent that Lauren was stressed out about what was going on with my hair and if she had had these concerns before bleaching my hair shouldve told me she couldnt do it !!! Its bleach its permanent. When a person doesnt know how to deal with not only virgin hair but also professionally and box dyed hair they should not be offering services !! Then when I was unhappy with the out come she stated " well you know your hair is box died" and when I began pointing out certain things she said well balayage hair is a whole bunch of V and Ws!! Number one before she started to even touch my hair I showed her some pictures STATED I DIDNT WANT TO COME BACK MULTIPLE TIMES IN ORDER TO GET A REALLY LITE COLOR which she said she couldnt do since itd take multiple sessions so AND this is with talking to the owner and the hair dresser the day before sending them pictures of what I wanted and my own hair length and color... she proceeded to say it will take multiple sessions to get as blonde as I wanted so I asked her to show me some of the work that shes done on previous clients and Id pick out the best one that Sue SUITED my hair and that she could do being that it was her work AND STILLLL!! She didnt do it ! She had to have brought me to the sink to use toner at least 5-7 times to tone the lighter colors with the dark once I was back in her chair I told her I dont want reddish orange or brassy tones I also mentioned this before she put anything on my hair as well. And let me tell you my hair is red and orange !! Its burnt at the ends and my hair looked 100 times better before I ever step foot in this Solon !! Yes they might offer you tea water and coffee but the end results you might not like !! Their lucky I didnt walk out and not pay! Lauren didnt even blow out my hair properly !! And asked how long it take to straighten my hair and when I said about 2 hours she looks like she didnt want to even deal with my hair. I walked out with damaged hair, orangey radish hair and looking like a poodle !!! I couldve done a heck of a better job with a box dye like Ive done before !! Theyre extremely over priced as well. Save your money and go somewhere in NYC where theyre is PROFESSIONAL COLORIST!! Master colorist !! A person who has done color for less then or only 5 years should go back and learn new techniques and learn how to deal with not only ALL types of hair BUT also boxed dyed or previously professionally dyed hair !! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED!!!

It is not very often that you find someone who is so excellent at what he or she does and who also has a beautiful personality! Jeannie is a rare find in this world, and she is one of the best hair stylists ever! Yesterday was my first time going to her, and I had a color, full highlight, and cut on my hair. She did everything that she could to make my dream hair come true, and she was also very honest about what could and could not be done with my hair in its current form. She made sure that what we were doing was not going to damage my hair in any way, and she made sure that we didnt do any color that would not have worked on my hair. Her knowledge within her field is outstanding. She really cared about how I wanted my hair to be and really took the time to talk to me about it days before my appointment. She also dedicated the necessary time needed to complete my new hair look and did not make me feel rushed at all. And she talked to me about what she was doing as we went through each step to get to my dream hair. Jeannie makes you feel very welcomed and after having my hair done by her this first time, I have chosen her to be my new hair stylist! And I know that if you give her a chance, you will also want her to be your new hair stylist as well! Jeannie will make your hair goals become a reality, and she truly is an expert at what she does. I am absolutely in love with my hair now, and it is all thanks to her! Please, allow her to do your hair once, and I promise that you will definitely want to go back to her! She is THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I highly recommend her if you want your hair done the right way, and if you also want a hair stylist who is positive, talkative, caring, and honest. Thank you so much Jeannie! I am already looking forward to my next hair appointment with you!

My hair is the ONE thing that Im always super protective of. I had the same hairdresser growing up for 14 (!) years in NYC. When I moved out to CT, I would still take the train in just to get my hair cut. My friend referred me to Gabbie and I am so glad she did, because Gabbie is incredible. She matched my hair color FLAWLESSLY, and I always get compliments on the color and highlights. She cuts my hair in a way that frames/highlights my face and bone structure. Everyone at Gavali Beauty Suite is so talented - I watch them take a few cues from their clients and execute perfectly. Everyone leaves saying "omg I love it, its exactly what I wanted!" The salon itself is so relaxing and has this great aura - it feels like youre at a friends place. I cant say enough great things about this place! If youre thinking about trying Gavali Beauty Suite, take the chance like I did - you definitely wont regret it and youll never go elsewhere after your first visit!

The salon itself is clean, modern, beautiful and has a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere without the overwhelming busy, rushed feeling many salons have. But Jeannie is definitely the main reason Ill likely be a client for life. I came to her with a picture of the color I wanted and even though she knew itd be difficult, time consuming and had no idea what color products they used, she never made me feel like I was asking too much or that we might not be able to make it work. After I left she followed up to make sure I was satisfied and when I wasnt sure I was totally happy she simply said, "Ill take care of it" and she did! The very next day I went back and now, my hair is even better than I pictured! Jeannie was willing to put in whatever time, effort and product necessary in order to make my hair goals happen. Other stylists would probably have told me to kick rocks. I definitely recommend her and Gavali to everyone!
