Would love to have given a minus 5 stars! My wife brought in our car on 2-13-17 with a tire low on air. First off, the tires where bought at another Firestone in the state and when a problem such as a flat occurred both the location I originally bought them from; Bristol as well as the Southington and Plainville location would always take care of this vehicle and any other that had a flat at no charge. No big deal 21.00 they wanted to fix it but after telling the floor staff in Glastonbury this, they decided to honor it, no-charge to us. Then came the problem.. they say the lug nut and stud that holds the nut where also stripped and it would be 75.00 to repair. How can that be as I personally had this tire off the car that morning and I was going to take it in but my wife decided to drive it so I put it back on and I tightened the lug nuts to the required foot pounds of torque. I also have more years of experience doing this than a few of their mechanics combined so I know both the nut and the stud where not stripped, nothing was damaged. All I can say is watch out.. it takes 10 seconds to find a stripped stud and lug nut laying around a shop like theirs to show the customer, oh and by the way the parts cost no more than 5.00 for both. It seems like because this is a town rich in history and well you know... they feel its ok to deceive and rip-off customers. Many shops do this, this is definitely one of them. If you must buy from a Firestone, take the time to drive to Bristol or Plainville. Over the many years of dealing with Firestone locations I have found by far these 2 are the more reputable. And one more thing, the same tire is now flat again!!!!

Strongly dislike, avoid this scam shop at all costs. Ive spent more time than I care to recall waiting for my emissions testing, only to find my car failed. Asked what it would take to fix it, they recommended $1,900 in repairs on top of the $110 diagnostics fee just to look at my car (non-waiverable). $1,300 of which was related to brakes and rotors (should be $300-400 at most for my generic used vehicle)... How that relates to check engine is beyond me. Every part on the list was marked up 300-500% (compared to autozone or amazon). I was told they only install "quality parts" when I asked why there was a price difference... Labor was at $103 an hour. When the vehicle was finally cleared for emissions testing, I waited hours only to find their emissions testing machine was broken. Said, Id come back another day. A few days later, after re-fueling, found they installed the wrong gas cap. Of course when I put the cap back on, the check engine light came back on... I hate this place as its a rip off and a waste of time for even the simplest of tasks - like replacing a gas cap. Never to return again.

Ive done business with them for many years. Been generally satisfied. However today I bought my Porsche in to have rear tires mounted and balanced. The car is 10 years old and there was not a mark on the wheels. I told the counter person, "The wheels are perfect and I expect them to come back perfect." When the car was done I inspected the wheels and both rear wheels were scratched. How you can scratch wheels with a touch-less tire changer is beyond me, but they did it. Not just one but both! They offered to have someone come to the store so I could bring the car back and have the wheels touched up but I doubt a guy in a van will do it to my satisfaction so I think Ill pass and repair them myself. Just comes down to the growing problem of people, young people it seems, who dont give a dam about the quality of their work. Its not so much the damage or the effort to repair it as it is the total lack of competence. I wouldnt be doing business with them any more. If you cant change a tire without screwing something up I sure dont want them doing other repairs.

Every oil change I walk out with a few hundred dollar bill for parts that need replacement. The new tires I bought were defective, needed replacement twice. My car functioned perfectly until going to firestone, then three times in two months the check engine light came on. The first two times Firestone "fixed it" for a few hundred. The third time I brought it to the dealership and was told the car was Deliberately tampered with, fuses lossened and bolts over tightened..... most likely to cause the light to go on again

Took our fleet vehicle in for a routine oil change. They got the vehicle in right away and it still took over an hour. This is unacceptable in my eyes. It takes me less than 10 mins for my personal car at home without a lift. No sense of urgency from anyone there including the people behind the counter, no apologies for taking so long, nothing. Its like they dont even realize. There must be management somewhere that can fix this!? Either way I will not return

Firestone has always been good to me and my cars. They always explain everything so I can understand what needs to be done and why it needs to be done to my cars. Their prices are on par with every other chain and the shop is close to restaurants and shopping just in case you need to wait for a while. I will always come back if they keep up the perfect service!

I had to set up an appointment with Firestone for my emissions test and also to fix my headlights and wipers. Not only did they fix one of my headlights for free (didnt need replacement, just sealed back in place) but they did it all in around 30 minutes. Very quick and reasonably priced work. Wipers they gave me are almost silent and work great.

Awful Experience. Would give ZERO stars if I could!!! Matt is a JERK and deserves to be FIRED!!! STAY AWAY FROM FIRESTONE if you dont want to get ripped off. This is the worst Firestone... they all are overpriced but Matt is the most pushy salesman Ive ever encountered. He ruined my experience

Went for an emission test, waited for an hour for them to tell me the "emission machine" was broken. Went in for a simple wheel alignment waited an hour for them to tell me they couldnt help. Went to townfair tire, in and out in half hour and they fixed my alignment no problem.

I went in for emissions testing. They said the wait would be 45 minutes. It was done within 30 minutes. I just moved into this area. I will definitely be usin Firestone whenever i need work on my car.

The front desk staff are totally disinterested. I stood for close to 20 mins and this guy was busy on the phone. Did not bother to look at me and ask me to wait.

Had an issue with scheduling and ordering tires and Joe the manager worked with us to make everything work to get tires on our 2 vehicles.

Good honest people and they fix your car FAST. Definitely the place to go, just make an appointment first, walk-ins take a while usually
