Hamden Auto Body turned a stressful accident into a great experience. Wow, I was very impressed with both the craftsmanship and the customer service I received from them. The great experience began right from the start when they arranged for me to pick up my rental at their shop, so my drop off was virtually seamless. Further impressive, they got me the same make and model rental that I normally drive. Ive heard a number of friends complaining that they end up renting a smaller compact when they arrange for the rentals on their own through their insurance company, but Hamden Auto Body worked it all out for me. All along they updated me with timely information about the status of the repairs, along with the estimated completion date. How happy was I that the car was actually finished 2 days early! Better yet, the car looked better than new when I picked it up. Not only did they repair the damage, but they cleaned up the entire car inside and out! Everyone at Hamden Auto Body was great to work with from my first phone call and culminating with when I picked up the car. A great family owned business! I give them the highest marks.

From the moment you first arrive, they take care of everything. The staff at Hamden Auto Body did it all: They inspected my vehicle, recommended a repair strategy, arranged a rental car pickup at their office, and even argued with my insurance company on my behalf - all before I had given them a dime. Throughout the repair I received status updates via text message, and they were quick to respond when I had questions. The entire staff at Hamden Auto Body was personable, available, and extremely helpful. When it was time to pick my car up, it looked as good as new due to the thorough washing it received (inside and out). They even collected some odds and ends in my back seat and put them in a box for me. After I paid my deductible, I handed off the keys to the rental car and drove away one very satisfied customer. I have used Hamden Auto Body multiple times, and have received this level of service each and every time.

My entire front end was ripped off my car in an accident. Since Im not from CT I asked poeple from the area where I could go ASAP to fix my car. Everyone recommended Hamden Auto Body. So I went, got an estimate right away (which ended up being very accurate in the end) and they were willing to get my car in the shop right away. Took only a week to get all parts ordered, replaced, fixed, painted, and finished, and they were even extremely accomodating with getting it done that Friday so I could travel home to MA. They vacuumed and washed my car, which was a huge eye opener and a very good complimentary gift! They notified me via email when my car was going through each process, and were very thorough with their work. ABSOLUTELY going again if I ever need to! Thank you so much for being accomodating in such a stressful time! Will recommend to anyone who needs anything fixed! (and yes this is an actual customer review!)

My husband brought in his car for body work - they did a great job on the body work but in the process they damaged something in the vehicle - they didnt do it on purpose, but they dont want to take responsibility for the costly damage and told my husband to take a hike. Hopefully we can get the money back via the BBB - but until then I would never suggest bringing a car to Hamden Auto Body as they seem to have poor customer service and do not want to admit wrongdoing on mistakes that they have made. Oh, the below positive comments that were just added were obviously added by the owner - how lame. And the above comment about "cyber bullying" is invalid - how is stating ones opinion "cyber bullying"?

I went here for an estimate and was given one that was literally more than double from six other places I went to. I told the them I was paying out of pocket as my insurance company was delaying payment and explained the circumstances behind it (an abusive ex had stolen my car but because we are still legally married its become complicated, even though I have two pending criminal cases of abuse against him) so Im not sure if that was the reason but I was truly appalled. I cant imagine that the other six places I went to are all subpar. I was just shocked.

I live in Pennsylvania, and my daughter wracked up the front end of the car in Connecticut on a Friday evening. I happened to catch Carl in the office on the next Saturday, and he provided service above and beyond my hopes. We were able to make arrangements to pick up the car on a weekend as well. Everything looks great and works great too. Im hoping never to need Hamden Auto Bodys help again (!), but I certainly want to commend them for their fine service and endorse them to others.

Hamden Auto Body is seriously great! They communicate every step of the way! The insurance company had said they would only pay for me to have a "scuff buffed out" but Hamden Auto Body went back to them and said the entire bumper had to be replaced and while they did the excellent work on my bumper, I got a fancy new rental! My car was sparklingly clean, too! The whole experience was better than I imagined!

Excellent service! I am very pleased with the job done by Hamden Auto Body. My car came back looking better than before. Nicole helped me to deal with insurance company and Enterprise. Oren explained everything that needed to be done and kept updating me about the status. Everyone was friendly and compassionate. I would recommend them highly! They did OK work on the body work, yet they shorted out an expensive computer module in the process. They were rude about it and unhelpful - and claim that they didnt do it - now I am out around $1000.00 and Hamden Auto Body refuses to deal with it. I thought they had some honor, they can still regain my trust if they would please open some sort of dialogue with me about this issue.

One morning my headlight was smashed! I seriously didnt know what to do but my brother in law recommended Hamden Auto because he got serviced here once. Im glad I did because their prices were really cheap! I wasnt expecting this to happen to my car but because of their cheap prices, I didnt have to worry much financially.

I absolutely love this place. My car was involved in a hit and run and my insurance company referred me to them. They were very friendly, kept me updated with daily emails about my vehicle. When ready they called me as well as emailed me. Only took a week! Everyone there was kind, patient, and very compassionate.

I have had the misfortune to do business with Hamden Auto body three times thanks to my adorable teenagers. Carl went above and beyond in each instance, was always the most reasonably priced and had the car ready as promised. He is a pleasure to work with. I recommend Hamden Auto Body without reservation.
