I am thrilled to have found Darren at Salon DARIN! He really takes the time to understand what you are looking for, and provides his honest feedback based on your facial features, hair type, lifestyle and personal style, all while drawing upon his own experiences from over the years. Never did I feel rushed or like any other client that walked through those doors. I felt special and as if Darren really cared that I was nothing short of 100% satisfied. He even gave me helpful tips on how to care for and style my hair at home, as well as how to handle the dreaded frizz. And what a perfectionist Darren is! He is watching my hair from all angles as I am getting up from the chair, and even stopped to fix the tiniest piece that I probably never would have noticed! I walked out of Salon DARIN with the EXACT cut that I asked for, at an extremely reasonable price, and have gotten loads of compliments ever since. Thank you again for the 5 star treatment!

I have been working with Darren for about 10 years. I will travel any distance to have Darren perm & color my hair. He is better than any New York colorist & he is a consumate professional. I get asked about my color and perm all the time! My hair always looks amazing after a visit to Salon Darin. Darren is also a warm, caring, thoughtful artist. He truly cares about your appearance & will go to any lengths to make you look the best you can look. I also love that they use Goldwell products at Salon Darin & they have a wide selection of great products to purchase for home use. If you are unable to book an appointment with Darren, try Breanne. She is truly amazing also. I have seen her perform small miracles on women & mens hair color & style. Travel to Salon Darin from anywhere. It is worth the trip. You will be amazed at the transformation in your hair!!!

Darren has been coloring and cutting my curls for 3 or 4 years now and all I can say is, he is a Genius! Once I find a professional I respect and trust, I am not quick to change. Before finding Darren I drove 90 minutes each way to get my hair done and I did that for 10 years. I found Darren and my hair has never looked better. He "warmed" my color and cuts my curls like I have never seen done before. I trust him explicitly. He is fun too, makes me laugh and how great is that. Salon Darin is a comfortable place to go and when you leave you feel so good about yourself. Once you try Salon Darin, you wont go anywhere else. His entire team are truly gifted artists. This was my first time visiting this salon and I LOVED my haircut by Nicole, and she was awesome. She listened to details of how I normally styled my hair, what I didnt like about it, etc.. and really gave me a great haircut. I did not enjoy, however, the rest of the staff. They were not pleasant to me when I came in, and since I was pretty much the only customer for my entire visit they chitchatted about other people and basically spoke as if no paying customer was present. I didnt think they acted very professional and it turns me off. I will probably schedule my next appointment during a busier time so I dont have to listen to their loud and personal conversations next time.

For the past 10 years I have been searching for a salon and colorist that I can trust and will understand what my needs are. I had been going to Greenwich for color until I found Darren. I live in Trumbull, so he was a treasured find on several levels. The dimension and gloss my hair has is incredible and no one would ever know I have my hair colored. The products, technique and attention given is outstanding. Ive held a hairdressers / cosmetologists license for many years and am VERY particular with the stylist who works on my hair. Trust me when I say color at Salon Darin is the ULTIMATE- you will be thrilled with outcome.

Not only is the entire staff at Salon Darin extremely talented but they also possess huge hearts and give back to the community in countless ways. Owner Darin is constantly donating products to safehouses that keep victims of domestic violence safe and protected. His professional talent is the best Ive ever seen. He listens to your needs and his one goal is for you to leave his salon looking and feeling your absolute best. This is always the case when I leave the salon. Tucked in the corner of a strip mall is a gem of a salon.The new owner has created both ambiance and sophistication lending itself to a most pleasant salon experience.The stylists,both young and mature, serve their patrons with knowledge of their craft and a fair amount of humor! Whether you need a Spanish speaking ,uber hip,color master or anything in between I believe you will be satisfied with the results. My husband and I are both clients and will continue to patronize this establishment.Kudos to both Breanne and Cora.In this economy our salon time might be our only luxury,so ,enjoy it here!

I started going to Pat at the Back Room of Salon Darin 3 1/2 years ago when she was the make up artist for my daughters wedding party. After many bad experiences with eyebrow shaping, coloring and waxing, I was hesitant to let anyone touch my eyebrows. Pat assured me that she would respect my concerns and not leave me with a "pencil line" for eyebrows. Pat now does my eyebrows every 6 weeks and I look forward to our visits as she is always professional, upbeat and caring and has become a friend. Not to mention the fact that my eyebrows always look great!!

You absolutely should go and see Darren at Salon Darin; it is worth the trip. Seriously, it was a bit of a trek for me; but it was a lovely ride and nice to get away from the pretentiousness of the Fairfield/Westport salons. Darren, who owns the salon, did a wonderful job of styling my hair. He completely understood what I wanted and did not try and convince me try a cut that would look terrific in the salon- but that I could never reproduce once I got home. I would say to anyone who wants personal attention from a great stylist: give this place a try!

I went to Salon Darin after receiving a Groupon and in desperate need of a decent cut. I was so lucky to get Nicole as my stylist. She did an excellent job cutting (took off 7 in.) and styling. In fact, she is the first stylist to ever make my bangs look they way I wanted them to look. Kudos on a job well done. I also went on a Tues and was the only customer so she happily took enough time to do it right, making suggestions about layering and shape. I will definitely be going back.

A pleasant mom and daughter experience - had great fun with my daughter at our first visit to Salon DARIN, and plan to visit again soon. Darren took the time to work with me to get the "stylin" look so many other stylists have failed to achieve. My daughter had a great time with Breanne (not sure of spelling) - the two shared laughter and fun with a great look when done. My daughter is looking forward to her next visit as am I. Thanks to Darren and Breanne.
