I have quite the relationship with the ladies of RPS! I started seeing Cathryn about 2 years ago after moving back to CT from Boston (and desperately missing my last hair stylist). I first found the salon by purchasing a Groupon online, and giving them a shot. I have SUPER thick, long, wavy (frizzy at times) hair, and Cathryn manages it perfectly. I feel beautiful every time I get my hair cut, and leave her salon. She takes extra time to blow it out (a real delight when you have THIS much hair)! I never ever feel rushed, and I rarely wait more than a minute or two for my appointment. I recently got married, and they basically closed down the salon for my bridal party and me one Friday morning. Christina did my hair for my wedding--shes incredible. Super sweet, listens to what you want, puts in her own creative edge, and is really lovely to chat with while all this is happening. Toni also did a few of the girls, whose hair all came out fantastic. Cathryn did my makeup, and seriously--there are no words to describe how amazing it looked. Her attention to detail is why I keep coming back--she knows how much this means to me. While I cant say Id be willing to try anyone else for a haircut, Christina will DEFINITELY be my go to girl for up-dos! In fact, I see her in a couple weeks and cant WAIT!

Fantastic experience! Ive used the same hair dresser my entire life. I recently moved to Connecticut, and had to find a new hairdresser. I went to Rock Paper Scissors Salon, and am so happy to say that I *love* what Cathryn did with my hair! When I arrived for my appointment, she sat me down and discussed what I liked, and didnt like, what products I use on a daily basis, how I wear my hair normally. She outlined her plan for my hair, and got my approval. When she was done with my hair, I was so happy to see that she did exactly what she said she would, and it turned out lovely! She was very friendly and outgoing, and Ive already booked my next appointment! LOVE this salon! >>>>>UPDATE 2/22/12 - I went back to the salon today for highlights, since I loved the cut and style Cathryn gave me last time. She completely outdid herself with the highlights!!! My hair right now just makes me feel so completely good about myself! I will be going to Cathryn til she quits, or I move!

I have been going to Cathryn for over a year and I cannot be happier with my hair. When I went in for my very first appointment, she sat me down and asked me, "what I loved about my hair, and what I didnt like about my hair;" She talked with me about what I wanted to do with the cut and color, and she made it happen! I can take in a photograph of a celebrities hair cut (which I often do), and she is able to replicate the cut. She takes her time, and is very precises with her cutting and styling. My hair always looks amazing when I walk out of her chair. She is a true artist. I have gone to many Connecticut salons, and lived in Miami Beach, (going to really upscale salons and shelling out lots of cash), and Cathryn has been THE BEST stylist I have ever gone to. She beats them all, hands down! If you are looking for an AWESOME hair cut, you need to check this place out!!!!

I brought my son there a few months ago, and the hairdresser gave him a haircut that in no way resembled the style she and I had discussed on the phone the day prior to his appointment. When we arrived, we were treated rudely by the owner and were never made to feel at all welcome. Perhaps we did not fit the image of their usual clientele, which is truly laughable considering the run-down strip mall in which they are located! I would love to know who they paid off in order to make Elles top 100. Thankfully, my son found The Gallery salon in Farmington, where the stylists actually know how to cut hair in accordance with the latest fashion trends. Believe me, I would give Rock Paper Scissors a zero if I could. DONT WASTE A DIME OF YOUR MONEY ON THIS JOKE OF A SALON!!!

I heard about RPS from a dear family friend and recommended I go there as my hair was dry and over processed, she told me Cathryn was amazing and she had a super friendly staff. I made an appointment and met Toniann and immediately got hooked. I have been going for 2 years now and my hair has never looked or felt better. I now also take my 2 daughters to Toniann and want as many people to know how clean, professional and friendly RPS is and how they make you feel very comfortable and welcome on every visit. On my wedding day Toniann made a home visit to do not only my hair but the whole family and what a great experience it was, no stress on your wedding day is almost unheard of. Highly recommended Hair Salon 5 Stars hands down. :)

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Cathryn and Lynn. Lynn did my hair for my wedding and I can honestly say she was very patient with my thoughts & ideas---that being said, my hair was absolutely beautiful for my wedding day. I have been going to Cathryn for about 2 years now and she is extremely professional with a wealth of knowledge regarding hair and make up. She is open to hear new ideas and thoughts if you are contemplating a new style or do....and will do everything to make her clients feel their best self! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new cut, color, or style!

Cathryn has been my stylist for 9 years. I started going to her after years of barber and salon shopping and not getting haircuts that I was happy with. A friend recommended that I try Cathryn and have been going to her ever since. When Cathryn opened her own salon, Rock Paper Scissors, I was excited to move with her. She is consultative, cuts my hair meticulously and has an amazing personality. The salon is beautiful, clean and conveniently located. The staff is friendly and professional. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new salon to check out Rock Paper Scissors.

Toniann has been styling my hair since we met, over 10 years ago. She is exceptional at what she does. Truly a professional! She is a great listener and always makes sure you love your hair. Toni did my hair for my wedding day last year. She worked with me until we both were really happy with the style and it was stunning!! Toni is so great at what she does, I cant say enough. Every time I get home after an appointment, I want to call her and tell her how much I love my hair. Its always beautiful and Im always so happy and refreshed when I leave the salon.

This is truely one of the best Salon I have ever been in. It is really inviting, beautiful, and a relaxing environment. It almost makes you feel special walking into it. The Hair dressors there are all amazing, I have been going to Cathryn for the last 6 yrs, and have never had a bad hair cut or bad coloring done. I definite will recommend Rock paper scissors salon to all my friends and families. I will go, where ever she moves.....but so happy that she opened up her own salon. :-D Khamla
