Absolutely terrible experience here. Brought in my car for an oil change and tire rotation. Specifically asked the clerk (Jamie) several times to make sure that the tech would be careful with my low-profile rims, as they had been damaged before by another shop. Come back to pick up my car and find out that the tires had not been rotated, and the passenger rear rim had curb rash in several spots. First, I spoke with the service clerk Sammy who had a sour attitude and could not explain why the tires were rotated or how the rim was damaged. I asked to speak to the manager, to which Sammy rolled his eyes and stated that the manager would be around eventually. I saw the manager (Rhandy) peek out from his cubicle, then proceeded to walk by several times without acknowledging me. Finally, after I called him over, he asked what I needed. I explained my situation to him, he came out to look at my car and basically said theres nothing he could do. He also could not explain why the tires were not rotated, yet it stated that they did so on the work order. Then his clerk chimed in, well the tires are staggered on this car, so we cannot rotate them. I informed him the tires were not staggered, they were all the same size. He then said well they have uneven tread wear, so we cannot rotate them. I informed him that the tires had less than 5,000 miles on them, so he was full of it. He just rolled his eyes and said whatever. Then the manager took some pictures of my wheel and said, call another service manager tomorrow, its not my problem. I told Rhandy I was not leaving until I had some paperwork to verify that an incident occurred at this location. He proceeded to scribble his name on my work order and stated "Customer complained one wheel is scratched." I called corporate headquarters as soon as I left to file a claim. Well see how his manager handles the situation. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, THEY HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CAN CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR AUTOMOBILE. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR SERVICES THAT THEY DO NOT PERFORM AS STATED.

My experience with Pep Boys in Orange has depended tremendously on what I need to do. For finding accessories and the most basic parts, the store is neat, prices are reasonable, and its easy to get in and out. For finding parts that arent spark plugs or brake pads, youll probably want to go to autozone across the street which has a better selection in stock and more knowledgeable employees. Staff is ok - not particularly friendly or excited, but most of them do their job. NEVER GO TO PEP BOYS FOR AUTO WORK. I cant emphasize this enough. As a parts store, theyre ok, as a shop, theyre probably the worst group of mechanics Ive ever been to. While Ive heard plenty of horror stories, my own is pretty bad. I took my car there to have the struts changed since their quoted price was significantly lower than other mechanics. First, they misidentified the type of strut I needed, so once the car was apart they called me to let me know they were going to need to install much more expensive parts. I next receive a call saying that they need to change the rear brake line because it is completely severed. They say it was like that. I think I would have noticed a brake failure on the way there, but they still denied responsibility. I had to pay for the new hose and installation, which I would have forgotten about had that line they installed not continued leaking to this day. To complete the job they somehow knocked the front wheels *way* out of alignment and stripped one of the lugs. While its not Pep Boys fault directly, their not-so-bargain struts also needed to be replaced within a year and a half, terrible considering that I do mostly city driving with few speed bumps and pot holes. Overall, PepBoys is an ok parts store and a terrible mechanics shop. I know plenty of people who will never go there for service - they have good reason.

I was at the Bridgeport store to see if they can look at my wheel and to change my tire. Bridgeport was book booked, so I decided to call Orange to see if they had any availability. The man I spoke to on the phone said he did, it will be a 45 minute wait though. I said it was fine. It will take me 25 minutes to get up there anyways. The man Ive spoken with said by the time you get here it will be a 20-minute wait, I agreed that was fine. After, I specifically said to the man you dont need to take my name and phone nunber down for an appointment just in case. He said no thats fine because it only should be a 20 minute wait by the time you get here. When I got up to Orange, I went to the auto service desk, I told the guy that I just called about my tire and can they look at it. I was told no Im going to have to wait 2 to 2 1/2 hours because they have appointments and I was a walk in. I drove all the way up to Orange Pepboys on a spare just to be told that my wait time would be 6x the original wait. Im angry that I wasted my time. Ive could have just gone to Town Fair Tire near me instead. The only reason why I did the drive because Pepboys normally has better prices, and it was only a so called "20 minute wait".. which was a lie. So I went to Town Fair Tire in Orange and they set me up for a same day appointment in Bridgeport closer to me. I do not like how they gave me misleading information.

The most incompetent store I have EVER been to. I special ordered fog lamps for my vehicle. I was told a few business days for delivery. After multiple visits over several MONTHS I was told they were not there (after being promised they had been overnighted). I came in for a refund because enough was enough. Low and behold Im told they have them. I am handed the box, head over to the service counter, and when they open it there is only one. I am told that I only ordered one. I have a receipt for one and a receipt for another…both orders placed at the same time. I was treated VERY poorly and lied to multiple times. In the end, the cashier was so incompetent he couldnt figure out how to refund my orders. He told me they were both refunded and that I was all set, but when I got home and checked my statement the incompetent individual had only refunded one. Keep in mind that they have two different prices because one was with the housing hookup as well. I finally had to go the route of a credit card complaint. I should have known they were awful when they messed up the installation of my windshield wipers a few weeks earlier, but I thought it was an honest mistake. This place has NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. They couldnt even figure out what I meant when I said I have a model year 2004 that I purchased in 2003. AWFUL customer service. Awful attitudes. Awful location. Avoid at all costs.

I went to the Pep Boys in Orange because my father has been an auto mechanic for over 40 years, but without a lift he was unable to properly diagnose/service my car for the leak it had acquired and a nail in a tire. After almost 2 hours (about an hour of which the car was untouched in its parking spot) and being told it needed 2 new tires (for whatever reason, they wouldnt say why the old couldnt be fixed). After all was yelled and done, we left because their service ability was horrendous. Ive heard they were bad, but youd think a well seasoned mechanics veichle being brought in would be a relatively simple fix. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS STORE OR SERVICE
