Review is specific to gym membership and basketball league. Not for events or other sports leagues. If you are looking for a decent place to work out I would go to LA Fitness, Edge Fitness Ect or if you want personal training and intense workouts go to Crossfit Stamford or Hybrid Athletics Basketball League - Very poorly run while being very expensive. Jerseys promised for each season are not given out, they do not keep stats as league says it does, games are poorly coordinated ( several games were not even scheduled until the day of, including playoff games). Several verbal arguments have occurred during games with certain referees ( 1-2 of the refs are good) Would not recommend. Gym - I signed up with a company discount. No sign up fee, $100 per month. CP was supposed to be a premier facility so I figured it might be worth it plus they explained that I could stop membership and start up again when traveling. >>The negatives ....short hours for the gym if you like PM workouts, also dont expect to be able to use the turf, track, or basketball courts unless its early morning. Not enough equipment if you are doing Squats, Deadlifts or any Olympic lifts. When it did come time to stop my membership it was an awful experience something you would expect from a shady hole in wall gym, had to pause for a fee then also pay another month afterwards took almost 50 days to complete cancelation. Again unless budget is not an issue and a Chelsea Piers membership is just a social status thing, do not join this gym.

I give this place 3 stars for all that it offers. However, it does nothing and offers no incentives at all for the immediate community which I think is ridiculous but it does offer incentives to the big businesses and brand new condos on the Southend of Stamford again which i think is ridiculous. A water park for 20 an hour? What child goes to a water park for an hour? Id like to meet the genius that thought of this. I think that they should make it a little more affordable for the LOCAL COMMUNITY (that has many children who can and would benefit from their programs) rather than a RICH EXPENSIVE CONDO COMPLEX ACROSS TOWN OR BUSINESSES THAT HAVE THEIR OWN FACILITIES. You should get statistics on the economics of the community surrounding your facility and price a little more affordable for the LOCAL RESIDENCE or set up a package and/or specials specific to the needs and budgets for the surrounding community. Im just saying if your in "OUR" Community then maybe you should support and give back in "OUR" community. I called regarding a family membership and it is absolutely impossible to afford with living cost and raising children.

I played in the mens basketball league so that is what I am reviewing. Pros: The facilities are great, this is one of a limited number of leagues in the area individuals can sign up for (most you need to register a team for) Cons: The stats taken were very poor (often inaccurate), jerseys were not given to everyone causing problems throughout the season, the schedule of games on a particular day were changed on that day (making it so youd have to constantly check if you still had a game or had a game that day or youd miss the game), prices were the highest for any league in the area (and rose the next season), it was hard to reach head of league (Brian Bertucci) Overall a very neutral experience. There were some good refs and one horrible one. My advice to them is to either find a new league coordinator or lighten the load on the current one so he can better take care of this role; planning games, making sure jerseys are ordered, ect. My advice to players is to check out other leagues before automatically signing up for this one, although it wasnt the worst league Id played in.

This place has EVERYTHING. If you are the kind of person that goes to the gym more than 2/3 times a week and likes taking fitness classes, pony up for the platinum membership. Its worth it. Folks that only use machines and weights are better off at Planet Fitness. C.P. has incredible yoga, pilates, and fitness classes for every level and the value is tremendous if you take multiple classes per week like we do since you can take unlimited walk in classes. In house childcare is top notch! My 2 yr old never wants to leave. The "splash zone" indoor waterpark is awesome for kids especially during the long winter months. The people/services/ facilities are world class and I would highly recommend to anyone whos actually going to use them. It aint cheap but if you have a family or you are a gym rat the membership pays for itself. If I tried to do half the stuff I do each month separately, I would easily pay quadruple what I pay for my family membership. People you will love: Michelle (pilates), Rita & Mike (yoga), and try TRX with T.J. There is no place like Chelsea Piers. No joke.

Good facility but not best option out there for gym membership. Paying x3 cost of other gyms, you would expect better quality as well. Pro - Equipment is pretty new, decent locker rooms, food bar with healthy but expensive options. Cons - Free weights are not readily available during busy hours, bar plates are not well organized, expensive membership, classes and use of certain facilities will cost you extra, poor gym culture (felt like I was working out at Abercrombie ), pop music in background with most people in the gym seem to just be lazily sitting around looking at their phones. Overall, I dont want to say its a bad gym but I cant say that it provides any more value than other gyms in the area. CP seems to dedicate most of their time and efforts to corporate events or youth camps, not that that is a bad thing but not what I personally want for a gym. I also was interested in setting up a basketball team but a friend who works a CP said that the leagues were not worth joining unless your company was coving the cost. (seems consistant with other reviews here)

The facility is extremely well kept. My son was here for a summer hockey camp and was happy that there was the trampolines and splash pad for my daughter who had to be dragged along. The front end staff was helpful in finding open activity times for her. The snack bar was overpriced but you are paying for convenience and I really wouldnt want to be driving around the surrounding area. There were several birthday parties going on and they seemed to be running smoothly and kids having fun. I cant comment on the gym facilities or the parking issues. There werent many people the day I was here but could see how parking can get congested and irritating when things are in full swing here.

My son had a hockey game there this past Saturday. The only issue was with the parking. We arrived at 9:50 AM for a 10:20 game and circled around to no avail. the parking lot was so overcrowded that cars were standing still blocking traffic waiting for spots to open up. I ended up parking at NBC and tipped the security guard a twenty. with the facility becoming so popular with residents from CT and NY, something needs to be done with the parking situation.
