I got a spa pedicure a while ago. In the brochure, they advertise it to be approximately 1 hour. It took 45 minutes if that. The girl that did my feet did not listen to me when I asked her not to use the emery board because it is extremely uncomfortable. The second time I went for a regular pedicure and it was okay. I had a different girl and she was very nice. I would also like to point out that for a hair cut, they nickel-and-dime the prices. For example, to trim the bangs it is an additional amount. The small charges really add up.

Ive gone to several salons before finally getting to HBYD. Why, oh why, did I wait so long??!! They are so wonderful, nice, accommodating, etc... My stylist is Kim and she is awesome! I always go in there with another "idea" of what to do. Shes completely honest with me if it wont look good and listens to what my final goal is. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants a great cut from great people. It is a little expensive but not more than you would get at any other high quality salon around...and well worth it!!

I had been going to a different salon for years but a friend of mine suggested that I should really try out Hair by Design Salon Spa in Torrington. I was very impressed with my first experience. The atmosphere is awesome, and everyone was very friendly. Brittany gave me a great hair cut, it came out exactly as I wanted. I know i will be coming back here in the near future.
