You get what you pay for. $10 a month for medium quality machines and equipment. Sure its a large sized gym but dont let that fool you, they have triple of every machine (which is usually a good thing) but not enough selection of different types however they do have plenty of cardio equipment The atmosphere is usually not that comfortable its always humid and hot inside and sometimes it can smell which effects the equipment. The equipment is poorly maintained, at least once a week a machine breaks and isnt repaired for days. Nothing is ever cleaned and trust me there are alot of sweaty people that dont clean up, and all the barbells, dumbbells, and handles on machines are greasy and slippery making it difficult to hold on properly. The staff is fine, however some of the rules they have are ludacris: no gallon-sized bottles of water which makes no sense, no chalk because its "messy" (even if used considerately) even though people track in dirt every day. The crowd is usually a group of high school students and college students who spend more time talking than training. And they serve pizza and tootsie rolls.. I thought it was a fitness gym? I went to this gym for 4 years and tolerated all this for a while until I became more serious with my lifting and had to go elsewhere. As a powerlifter, I can say that its a decent gym for someone being introduced to working out, but for the ones that need more weights and a better atmosphere youre better off going to The Edge or LA Fitness. For the serious and strong try out Beast Gym in Trumbull or HardKore Fitness in Shelton.

This is my #3 times joined this fitness in mid April this year. Its not that good but OK because of cheap membership. My first two times were based on $99 per year fix fee. This time they told me its $10 per month plan and without commitment. But nobody ever told me when I signed the contract that there will be another $30+tax annual fee that I was charged just 6 weeks later on June 1st. Gee, this is the monthly plan so where this $30 annual fee comes from? Had I know there will be additional charge, I will not join in this time. I am asking the office to give me refund and then I will cancel my plan but their manager refused to do so. Its a cheating tactic to customers.

I go to Planet Fitness Monday through Friday. An honest opinion of this gym is that most people go because of the cheap monthly membership fee ($10) and the convenient location.HOWEVER, This gym is often messy- with towels and tissues everywhere from other members, Crowded- meaning you will have to wait to use a machine especially weight machines like the benchpress- theres only 2 in the whole gym!!! And the staff is unfriendly and incompetent. ALL IN ALL YOU GET FOR WHAT YOU PAY FOR- A $10 A MONTH GYM. CHEAP, DIRTY, AND CONVENIENT! GO to edge or fitness4000 or golds- if u can afford it. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!!!

Equipment is old, only two showers work, showers are way too small, almost no control over the temperature of the water, and all of the heart rate monitors on the cardio machines dont work. It takes them weeks to fix broken equipment. The place is always dirty & dusty. Pay an extra $15 a month and go to the Fitness Edge, trust me.

Love this gym and its staff! Anytime day or night! Great hours and equipment. I go 3 to 4 days a week faithfully for almost a year now and its because of the way the facility operates. Makes me comfortable and excited to pursue my goals. I would recommend to anyone novice or experienced. Its an incredible value!

Cant be beat. Large gym, tons of treadmills and all the equipment that I want to use. Friendly staff, and they just remodeled the place. Not sure what the other reviewers are talking about, Planet Fitness in Trumbull is clean, and has lots more cardio equipment than any other gym in the area.

Really loved this gym but I signed up online for a no contract membership so I could cancel before I left for school, but they told me I was on a standard plan and got charged a $60 buyout... glitch in their systems maybe?

Revolting!! Dirty,smelly, and full of animals who stand around and talk!! Should be renamed Bridgeport YMCA.... I left and went to Fitness Edge Shelton much much much better!!!! Stay away dont let the price fool you.

I love it plus they have 75 pound dum bells and the state of the art water fountain im from brooklyn new york we dont have that the only thing that sucks is you guys dont have the calf extension machines

Friendly staff and tons of equipment. They make use of every inch of the floor here. The equipment is a little old and I found it to be not quite as clean as some of the newer ones.

My non home club for when I work in the Trumbull office. Quite large and really no waiting. The new Hydro massage chairs that replaced the beds are great.

Showers are great..locker rooms are nice and clean. The only problem is the lighting..seems kind of dark in there

Overall good although the one in Trumbull should have WiFi like Stratford,what happened to yoga classes
