This particular Planet Fitness: Dirty and smelly locker rooms, broken or barely working machinery, very limited options and space. Ive only been to this one and the one in North Haven, and that one is much nicer. Planet Fitness as a company: Ive been a member for around 2 years now... and its not until I recently started truly wanting to get fit that I realized how bad this place is. If you want a place to run on a treadmill, do bicep curls, and see limited results, then its fine. Its catered toward people who have never gone to the gym before. If you really want to train and gain strength, you will struggle here. No deadlifts allowed, no power racks or squat racks, only 2 bench press setups (aside from the lame smith machines). Join the Edge.... Im planning to switch if I stay in the area any longer and shouldve joined there 2 years ago.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The locker rooms were recently renovated. Its usually not too busy, unlike other gyms. They have stairs machines, treadmills, ellipticals, recline bikes. They have a variety of TV channels if that rocks your boat, otherwise the free WiFi is pretty good for watching Netflix, Youtube or streaming music. There are 2 bench-presses, a bunch of smith machines, but no squat racks. I think dead lifts are discouraged. On top of that, there are plenty of other machines. Not necessarily the best place for a bodybuilder to work out, but for people who dont mind squatting smith machines or with fixed barbells, its good. There are a few promotions throughout the year to get students to join without a full year membership.

I called today to cancel my membership since I have literally only been there a total of 3 times since i signed up last year - hated the environment so i signed up at the Edge. Kevin who answered the phone, was nice in the beginning, but when I stated I wanted to cancel my membership and just wanted to be sure of the process to do so he simply stated " Im too busy. Let me get my co-worker" - How are you too busy ? You clearly answered the phone because you were not busy. Anyway, Karma I think her name is, answered the phone and she was kind enough to explain the process to me. Definitely never want anything to do with planet fitness ever again.

The place is a scam. My wife attempted to cancel her membership two months ago, and they have continued to charge us anyway. They claimed the only way to cancel was come in person or send a certified letter of cancellation. My wife did BOTH to be on the safe side, and they have claimed that she was never in there, and also that she never sent them a letter. I suspect they do this from time to time with cancelling customers as a way of milking a few more months out of the membership. Highly suspect behavior. Avoid giving them your information at all costs.

This gym is horrible but what do you expect for 10 dollars it attracts a lot of people who just go to the gym not to work out also this gym it is way to ghetto for me the staff is always busy talking to people and having their own convos very loud on the phone and not working. Paper all over the floor and bottles. Ended my membership and signed up at the edge the best thing I ever did the edge is no where as ghetto newer machines and better staff. Would not recommend this gym to anybody especially if you do not like the ghetto crowd.

Ive been going to this gym for almost a year, and I am quite happy. Equipment is in good condition, and many of the machines are new. The gym and locker areas are clean and bright. Trainer services are available.

Been a member for 5 years. PF is never overcrowded, staff very friendly. Right now they are refurbishing the inside, new locker room and putting in new equipment. Looks great. Has everything I want in a gym.

Very good, clean, all-purpose fitness center with amazing hours, helpful staff, and a truly comfortable atmosphere. I have been at peak hours and had no trouble getting an elliptical machine or treadmill.

Omg I wouldnt even go all the way inside. Dark, depressing, and front staff was lathargic. No music, no energy,. Soooo depressing. Who cares the price youl never go to that hole.

Affordable place to exercise at your own pace. Relaxed environment where you can be in your own world. Great for just working out nothing over the top and no competition.

The guy who works late night with the dreads smokes pot in his car in the parking lot and is high while working. Its a cool gym in the day time but beware of late nights.

nobody cleans their machines or mats afterwards. not regulated at all. its gross so just make sure you clean your machine before each use
