I recently used Lewes Body Works for collision repair. As I wanted the car repaired correctly, I wasn’t too concerned when the estimated repair time of three-four days turned into weeks. My first attempt to pick up the car revealed improper realignment of the repaired body panels. After speaking with the owner, his reply was “It’s fine”. After contacting my insurance company, the owner agreed to realign the fender. When I was notified the car repair was complete I was also told, at the last minute, that a cash payment was required. Their reasoning was ‘how I spoke to them’ although we never had any disagreement until they insisted upon cash. After getting the car home I noticed impressions in the rocker panels that had not been there before leaving the car with Lewes Body Works. Typically, impressions of this sort occur when a car is lifted incorrectly leaving lift, or jack impressions. My recommendation would be to look elsewhere for quality work and a company willing to work with you.
