If I could rate this place infinity stars, I would! I took a serendipitous walk into the Great Clips Concord Square for the first time ever, just thinking that I would get a haircut and leave. When I went in, I did not know I would have the type of experience I had! It was the most excellent haircut and unbelievable experience in a salon/barbershop I ever had! My stylist is Courtney. First, when I walked in, I was greeted with the most friendliest and warmest welcome. They all said, "Welcome to Great Clips!" This is as if I was being welcomed into their home! The woman at the counter asked me if I checked in on-line. I asked her what that was. She proceeded to tell me that it was a free application that allows customers to check wait times and add their name to the wait list before they visit the salon! I was amazed! She told me that it takes 2 minutes to download the app, put my name and number in, how many people are having a haircut, and VOILA! Im in the system! Then she asked me for my telephone number to look up my information in the computer. I am very stubborn and do not like to give out information about myself at all. I asked her why? She told me that the information is ONLY used with-in Great Clips and that we store notes about the consultation for that day. This was a really cool feature. So, I gave her my information. Not hard to do at all. Took 1 minute. I was then added in the computer. Not a minute later, the stylist called my name before I could even walk to a chair and start my haircut! The stylist smiled at me, looked me right in the eye and introduced herself. Her name is Courtney. She firmly shook my hand with confidence and walked back with me to her chair. Courtney listened to everything I had to say on how I wanted my haircut. She also asked if I wanted a shampoo. I had no idea that they did that there. So, I got a shampoo too! When I got the shampoo, she applied damp, hot towel around my face. Boy, that was needed after the day I had that day. She was very helpful with my needs and was full of knowledge! She told me that she has been in the business for about 15 years and has been with Great Clips for a while now. She asked what type of products I use at home and professionally recommended a product to me. I am the simple guy that sometimes, if Im in a hurry, would shampoo with bar soap in my hair. She professionally recommended that I take a look at product that would be just as simple, but not so harsh on my hair. It was called "American Crew, 3 in 1." It is a shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all in 1 bottle. She told me that it would replace my shampoo, conditioner, bar soap. I looked at the product and I gave it a shot. I am hooked on this product now! Great product and awesome smell. Great recommendation for the simple guy on the go. She also told me some history about Great Clips. I did not know that it was founded in 1982 and there are over 3000 salons worldwide! I learned a tremendous amount of information about the company that I did not know about and information that was essential to my needs. All-in-all, the experience as a whole was more than I expected. My serendipitous walk into this salon was definitely fortunate! I will definitely be back for my 4 - 6 week haircut. She even told me that it was only $5 dollars just for a beard or neck trim. I just may come in for that and a shampoo! I finally found a great place to get my haircut, have a great conversation, and feel comfortable enough to feel like I am at home.

I have been to this Great Clips location many times. But my last two visits have equally been the best I had experienced anywhere. So stellar, that I felt compelled to write and post a review. I had not been to a Great Clips in quite some time. Upon my initial return, I had learned Lea, the person who regularly cut my hair there had moved to Georgia. I was distraught as I am very particular with my hair and who cuts it. I do not like taking chances on new people cutting my hair. It was at this time when I met an exquisite woman by the name of Melissa. Melissa is amazing on so many levels. Her warm smile and professional, confident and courteous demeanor immediately made me feel at ease. I knew right then and there I made the right decision to have the pleasure of her attending to my hair cutting needs. Melissa looked on the computer to see how I had my hair cut the last time and had reviewed it with me making sure it was correct and asked if I desired any changes. As she cut my hair Melissa engaged me with delightful conversation asking me where I worked, we talked about food and one of her favorite desert, Flan, which I learned was a Puerto Rican dessert. Ill be sure to try some over the weekend as a place I go to on a regular basis serves Flan. I elected to have my hair shampooed as well. I am glad I did. Her technique was amazing as she took her time and massaged my scalp exceeding my expectations. Great Clips is very lucky to have Melissa on their team. She is professional, friendly, courteous, talented in her trade, has a great personality, a heart warming smile, great sense of humor and is extremely easy on the eyes. Thank you Melissa and Great Clips for this stellar experience! George

I went in for a shampoo and cut. I asked for long layers to add movement and reduce the weight of my long hair. The stylist simply cut two, harsh lengths of hair with no gradual change to make it look natural. I look like I have bad extensions. I contacted the manager this morning to provide feedback on my experience. She defended the stylist, saying shes timid and trained to only cut one layer when asked for layers. I explained that I asked for wavy movement and lots of layers. The manager, Megan, continued to defend their training and her stylist, asking me come back into the store "But weve noticed that most of the girls like it that way. They get mad if you put in too many layers." I explained to her that I informed the stylist multiple times what I wanted, but I was ignored. Again, she continued to defend the wants of "most girls" and her stylist who is "just timid, thats all." The manager then implied that I did not know what I wanted because I only get my hair cut once a year and do not come into Great Clips enough for them to be confident cutting my hair. The customers wants and opinions are not valued at this location. The manager offered a free haircut coupon, but there is no way I will be going to Great Clips again.
