Now called "Special Laundromat". First time visitor. I had the afternoon off and did laundry here mid-day. There were about four additional people that came and went the whole time I was laundering. Its clean and was being cleaned while I was there (sweeping/scrubbing the floor and vacuuming the dryer vents, which is good to know they do!). They have large commercial dryers in the rear and older washing machines on the right side as you enter. It was $1.75 for wash (I think $2.50 for the commercial washers) and $.75 to dry for each load - dryer costs could be more if your laundry includes heavy blankets and many towels. Ill go back. The woman working there is pleasant and helpful if you need to leave your laundry bag and grab your car for a drive-by pick-up.

Good, cheap machines. Very friendly people. Only downside is that they close at 6 pm. If youre in Columbia Heights, this is where I would recommend you go.

I went at 4:40pm on a Tuesday and was turned away even though there were six or more people inside.
